Are bees considered "objects"? They're living and breathin' things, man. - Maggot Man (talk) 16:55, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

Yes, these fit under the category of "objects", for all intents and purposes. — Lapper (talk) 16:59, 5 June 2006 (UTC)

"The Bee" a music video reference?

The Brothers Chaps are known for inserting '80s and '90s pop culture references into their cartoons, such as the popular music of the day. This leads me to believe that Strong Bad's bee costume was inspired by the music video for Blind Melon's greatest hit single, "No Rain," which featured a little tap-dancing girl (Heather DeLoach) in a rather similar bee costume. You really don't hear that much about Blind Melon these days because of the untimely death of lead vocalist Shannon Hoon, but they were one of those "alternative" rock groups from the early '90s, and DeLoach's "Bee Girl Dance" was a pretty famous scene in music video history. I bet I'm not the only one who thought of "No Rain" the first time I saw that Halloween toon.

Further evidence: If it WERE a Blind Melon reference, it'd fit the Brothers Chaps' tradition of paying tribute to deceased musicians. And although it was Blind Melon's singer who died, the Bee Girl has more or less become the band's symbol. -Indogutsu Tenbuki

Sensitive to Ants

I know bees are a running gag. Should we also have a special page for ants? For when when gluing Strong Sad's hands to his face isn't enough, or when you hope to put some ants on this guy, or when Bubs has turned us all into ants.
