Hosts

Various people have edited the "Kids Say the Darndest Things" line, to say that Cosby hosted the show after Linkletter, and several people have reverted it, citing IMDb, which lists Cosby as "Host" and Linkletter as "Co-host" (but says "unknown episodes", so it doesn't really say much), and 'Kipedia, which says "Kids Say the Darnedest Things was a TV show hosted by Bill Cosby and co-hosted by Art Linkletter that aired on CBS in the late 1990s." But people keep on changing it... So... who's right? --phlip TC 06:39, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

If IMDB and WP agree, we aren't in a bad position to agree, lacking better info. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 09:07, 21 May 2007 (UTC)

"Kids Say The Darnedest Things" started as a segment on Linkletter's variety show House Party, for the record. It was later turned into a full-time show with Cosby as host in the '90s. --129.7.0.24 22:42, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

This appears to be correct per the latest information. 'Kipedia gives Cosby as the sole host; contemporary media often called the show "Bill Cosby's Kids Say the Darndest Things", ads for the show positioned it solely as Cosby-hosted and a revival of the Linkletter segment, appearances by Linkletter are framed as special rather than normal; and the opening solely features Cosby as host, with Linkletter only listed as an Executive Producer. -- Bleu Ninja 18:56, 6 August 2021 (UTC)

Malcolm Jamal Jester

I know we already decided not to count mentions of Pythons and Disney Legends as references to Monty Python or Disney unless work from those two groups was also mentioned. Does that also apply to this case? Malcolm Jamal-Warner seems to have a less diverse filmography than Dick Van Dyke. The only other relevant thing I can think of him doing is The Magic School Bus for PBS. BBG 03:34, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

i'm pretty sure Mushmouth said "oh-buh kay-buh" and not "oh-bee kay-bee", which came from The Dentist stand up routine. People be gettin them all mixed up because it was the same person saying it but it wasn't the same word or the same character or even the same show.

Should we still have this page?

I know there are a lot of references made on the site, and all before those horrible things happened, but I feel a tad uncomfortable with having the page still around... I dunno. --J∃ffJMan 14:40, 25 February 2022 (UTC)

Actually, no, I do think this page should still be around, because it's about his work and not him himself, so yeah.. it's fine --J∃ffJMan 14:43, 25 February 2022 (UTC)
