:::Agree. The Sightings pages are for observing out-of-the-body-of-work references to H*R themes. This article should focus on burninating as found within the corpus of TBC's work. {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 02:12, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

I guess if everyone agrees, merge with Trogdor. But keep this talk page. I don't know why, but since The Poopsmith's Shovel still has it's talk page, I guess this should too. {{User:Sam the Man/sig}}

Delete

This should all be covered in Trogdor, as maybe one or two sentences. Loafing 21:59, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

Why would you delete this page? It's a word running gag, right. It should stay. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man
It should absolutely be merged with Trogdor, I think. The only reason that could prevent this is if TBC used it in reference to other characters. I searched, and I couldn't find anything, although for some reason we use this to refer to Stinkoman in our Stinkoman 20X6 walkthroughs for level 2 and level 4. Trey56 22:06, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
It's an activity running gag. I put it up for deletion because I thought it should really be covered on Trogdor's page. But now I think the article deserves a chance. It needs a major re-write and a different definition of burnination, though. Loafing 22:08, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
I concur. It shouldn't be deleted, but it desprately needs a rewrite. So, if we could compile a list of things that need to be changed, we can change this article into something much better.The_3000th_Flare 20:15, 25 March 2007 (UTC)
I believe it should be merged with Trogdor and simply linked to the running gags page. --Collin Diver 12:08, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Trogdor (and maybe Trogador) is the only burninator so far, and so all this info should be on his page. If there was even only one toon on the site that refer to burninating without involving Trogdor, then I would start considering this page. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:39, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

What's In A Word?

If the article doesn't get deleted: OK, currently, this article claims that burnination is the equivalent of breathing fire. I always thought it's burning something. Like countrysides and peasants. This needs to be fixed. Loafing 21:59, 24 March 2007 (UTC)

Burninate  :

v. To incinerate something at random without warning, usually by Trogdor. Commonly affiliated with pesants and the country side in general. The_3000th_Flare 20:20, 25 March 2007 (UTC)

I think the article should not be merged with Trogdor. Also I think the article is already fine now. It has all the cleaning it needs.
I would say Trogdor and Burninating should not be merged Sam the Man (Talk | contribs) 15:49, 28 March 2007 (left unsigned)
I, personally, don't care if it's merged or not, but either way the article still needs a lot of cleanup. Is there more that can be said about the topic? And are the appearances just for the word "burninating"? Seems like it should be used more, and how's that different from searching the wiki for that word? So I think more should be added/fixed. --Stux 22:55, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

Here's my thought. If "burninating" occurs in the H*R body of work solely in reference to Trogdor, then it belongs solely in that article, and does not deserve its own. However, with sufficient sightings of "burnination" outside Trogdor-related works, it could be viewed as a generic running gag and have an article. As that is seemingly not the case, I choose you, deleted. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 03:48, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

I entirely agree — merge. Trey56 07:09, 13 April 2007 (UTC)

Suggestion

Here's an idea: although only Trogdor Burninates, the mere concept of "burnination" has inself become a small cultural phenomenon. So much so I've seen many pages and things quote that same word. How about we use this space to also document major external references that use this word? --Stux 06:09, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

I don't understand what your saying. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 06:09, 31 March 2007 (UTC)

He's saying if we should also add any Burnination sightings from well known TV shows, Wesites, and other places that are outside Homestarrunner.com. I believe that any Burnination reference outside Homestarrunenr should only be noted in the Sightings page. Spyrox6
Agree. The Sightings pages are for observing out-of-the-body-of-work references to H*R themes. This article should focus on burninating as found within the corpus of TBC's work. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 02:12, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
