Ding! Character Videos is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

Searching Google

I did not the the list of programs when I searched for the page on Google. That is the list of shows in the VCR from 12:00. - Dr Haggis - Talk 18:42, 19 Jan 2005 (MST)

I found it when I searched for the flash file, not the page. Try typing "yo site:homestarrunner.com" in Google. --ED!smilde

Found it! good job Ed. - Dr Haggis - Talk 14:20, 20 Jan 2005 (MST)

You can simply go to the page and right click and click view source. It says the same thing there. --mibluvr13 17:18, 17 Mar 2005 (MST)

Between Yearbook and Videos?

Is it just me, or was there an intermittent characters page, identical to the Character Videos, before this one? Between the two, the dialouge has changed slightly, and the url to this new page is characters2.html. I think I remember a characters.html before this one, but there's no record of it, and there's nothing on the wiki. Am I losing my mind? — Lapper (talk) 23:24, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Yes. — talk Bubsty edits 23:43, 16 November 2005 (UTC)
See, that's just it. No one else seems to remember it, but I remember writing down the dialogue for Homestar's character video, then vaguely remember it changing. — Lapper (talk) 19:43, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
Oh, I know what you're saying! It's because of this: every time you go to the Homestar character video, it randomly selects one of two slightly different videos. In one of them, when Marzipan is talking about if Homestar and her are "one hot couple", Marzipan will say "And today we are!", and then Homestar says "Yay!" At the end, Homestar says "Boo!" In the other one, Marzipan says "And today we are not." and the Homestar diologue is switched. You're not crazy. Though I am wondering what "characters1", so to speak, was used for. Has Matt? That's Marzipan's character video you refer to, and I know that the dialogue randomly changes. I'm talking about Homestar Runner's character video. — Lapper (talk) 02:14, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
But Homestar can win... er, I mean, but Homestar's works the same way. Strong Bad randomly interjects that Homestar is a moron, doofus, or Lionel Richie. --Jay (Talk) 02:23, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
That's still not what I meant. I know that the flash toggles a random line, but not Homestar's lines themselves. I seem to remember an older version of the video. — Lapper (talk) 02:28, 17 March 2006 (UTC)

Hidden

I don't see the hidden text. --TheThin 15:02, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Of course you don't. That's because it's hidden! – The Chort 15:04, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
How do you find them? TheThin 15:12, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
I dunno. I think you might need to take it apart with a Flash decomposer thingy. Or you have to search for it on Google. Don't ask me! – The Chort 15:16, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
AAAAH! I can't find it! TheThin 15:25, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
Anyone know! The thing 00:10, 6 February 2006 (UTC)
I can't find it either Retromaniac 01:00, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

When was this released?

Anyone know what date the character videos were released? I specifically want to find out when Homsar's video was released, in relation to the other toons he's appeared in. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 18:26, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

I'd guess sometime after 12:00, as the Flash file contains data from 12:00 in it... But that's all I can say. --DorianGray
