Revision as of 17:24, 1 January 2019

I was thinking of getting the image from death metal during the video chat. This page is kind of blank, anyway. I can upload images, but have no idea how to actually get them out of the toon, save them, and upload them. Can someone (a) try to help me out with this and (b) try to get the image in the event that I can't? teeeffoh! 21:43, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

Here's the 10 step meathod I've always used (I'm not sure if it'll work exactly the same way. I use Windows XP). Feel free to follow my simple, step by step instructions. I make uploading FUN!

  1. Watch the toon.
  2. When you get to the part of the toon you want a pic of, press Alt+Print Screen.
  3. Open a paint program, such as MS Paint.
  4. Paste the image in. (Ctr+V)
  5. Save as a PNG. (File, Save, when it asks for the image title, look for a drop down box right below it, and choose PNG format)
  6. Go to the Wiki.
  7. On the toolbar (left side of the screen "always there" buttons) look for "Upload File". Click it.
  8. Browse for your file, and upload it.
  9. Add link to the image on the right page. [[Image:Imagename.PNG|thumb|Cool Caption]]
  10. Get yourself a Danish.

Don't forget, if you're looking for an image for a case like this, do a quick search around the wiki to see if there's an image that'll meet the needs, without uploading a new one. Hope that helps. Thunderbird 21:52, 16 January 2006 (UTC)

I know how to capture images, save them, and upload them, but how do you crop the images and stuff like that? I tried doing it once, and it came out all messed up. Has Matt? (talk) 21:55, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
You have to do it before you upload it. Like on MS Paint. SaltyTalk! 21:58, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
I know that. I tried it, but failed. Has Matt? (talk) 21:59, 16 January 2006 (UTC)
If you're using MSPaint, just use the select tool (the dotted box thing) to select what you want to upload, and cut it (Ctrl-X) from the image. Open a new file (don't save the previous one), and paste it there (Ctrl-V). If you're using Photoshop, use a simpler graphic program for this job, like MSPaint (see above). -Stinkoman KTalk 18:16, 24 February 2007 (UTC)

Lots of people have, including me. Check it out.  :D Ed smilde/talk

Picture

Could you put http://www.hrwiki.org/images/d/de/AimIcons.PNG anywhere? --TheThin 22:58, 20 January 2006 (UTC)

Yes, if you would check out it's image page, you'll note it's linked to from Secret Pages. — Lapper (talk) 04:29, 25 January 2006 (UTC)

Working/Not Working

As "Working" contacts could all very well be fanstuff (well, at least the IM ones), do they really need a seperate section because of it? - Joshua 03:10, 4 February 2006 (UTC)

Well not really but It's OK. TheThin 13:59, 4 February 2006 (UTC)
That was not a good enough reason to revert my edit. But if someone does want to go against the merge... discussion time again. Whoo... - Joshua 21:28, 11 April 2006 (UTC)

strong sad's contact

I don't think Strong Sad's IM is still working. He is never on.

Some Type of Online Auction

Wow, where did you guys find the Some Type of Online Auction link? Even more importantly, what toon/email does it come from and why doesn't it have it's own page or redirect? --Stux 18:43, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Nevermind, I found it! --Stux 18:45, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
I didn't think there was much else to add so I removed the stub tag. --Stux 18:59, 19 February 2006 (UTC)

Larry

I've found the greatestjournal of the person who (or claims to, at least, though I'm pretty sure it's true) owns the ladeezluvlarry71 screen name. It's [1]there.

What I don't think thats true. Yet maybe it is. --TheThin 22:49, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
That is the online journal of Mibluvr13, The thing and Darkspoon. — Lapper (talk) 22:50, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Yes, I know that. --TheThin 22:52, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Wait! He ownes mibluvr13 can u own 2? --TheThin 22:53, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Sure can. I have friends with upwards of a dozen AIM screen names. --DorianGray
Pretty much the only double-identity that's actually looked down upon is sockpuppetry in forums and wikis. — Lapper (talk) 23:01, 7 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and BTW, you don't own screennames. —FireBird|Talk 23:02, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

Characters?

I believe that "Apostroholics" does certainly not count as a character and should be deleted. "Thorax Corporation" is borderline for two reasons: a) it's really outside the H*R universe, but it has been mentioned in toons and b) it's a company, not a character, but the contact email does belong to a character. Loafing 20:13, 14 February 2007 (UTC)

Problem fixed itself, now that the page has been moved. Loafing 00:27, 18 February 2007 (UTC)

Senor Cardgage

Has anyone ever tried calling Senor Cardgage's number? It probably brings up this

OPERATOR: We're sorry. Your call could not go through. If you would like to make a call... --ONESTOP 23:14, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

That's great talk for the forum. — Defender1031*Talk 23:21, 28 January 2008 (UTC)

Marzipan

I didn't think that was her actual IM, the one that was in the email. Didn't Strong Bad make it up? Plus, later in the email she claims to not even know what a screen name is. Should that be in here? --Acam30 12:04, 2 May 2008 (UTC)

I checked this talk page to post exactly this same thing. Shouldn't her im be clarified with a "(Possible Strong Bad history revision)" or something? --Onamuji (b/w T. C.  ) 04:15, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Apostroholics?

If you look at Senor Cardgadge's 'work phone', you'll see that someone has provided the way it's shown and the way it would actually be, yet with the Apostroholics' nuber, it's just 1-800-APOSTROHOLICS. Should it be changed? Corruption 23:46, 26 December 2008 (UTC)
