Mancuso

This toon, coupled with Biz Cas Fri 3 and Where's an Egg? mark the third mention of Mancuso. Running bit, now? 75.46.27.212 00:39, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Done. Strongkinghomsarsmith 00:59, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Images to upload to Other Halloween Costumes

  • The drawing of the small child in his Twelve-Times-A-Day Man costume (maybe?)
  • Strong Sad wearing the street blockade.
  • Strong Sad wearing his egg-proof poncho.
  • Bubs wearing his Bubs costume.
  • Coach Z wearing his... er... "Coach Z" costume.

Feel free to scratch out when uploaded. – The Chort 17:21, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Done and done. --DorianGray 19:52, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Wii

This toon gets REALLY butchered when viewed on the Wii. Things like text, costumes, and body parts disappear. --69.115.68.62 19:32, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Put it under "Gliches", subcategory "when viewed on Wii". That Game Dude 386 20:50, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
No, don't. It's a common issue of the Wii browser, which has a lower version of Flash Player. We don't need to mention it every time. --DorianGray 20:52, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
True. Maybe make an article listing the pages that have issues on the wii?--Flytape8490 22:21, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
I don't think so. For all I know, the Wii's faulty Flash player may glitch at unique spots of cartoons every time... so... no. --TheYellowDart(t/c) 22:55, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
It isn't faulty- its just an older version. And it isn't so much a glitch as it is backwards compatibility issues. It's almost like using firefox to view a page that was written utilizing IE's loose rendering engine. It just gets messed up, there isn't anything actually wrong. Plus, there isn't too much unique about these errors. They show up consistently each time. If each wii has the same browser with the same flash player, and watch the same file- the error is going to be reproduced, unless there is a hardware glitch also affecting the playback.--Flytape8490 04:19, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, they've finally switched to using Flash 8 blur effects on the backgrounds instead of using a Photoshopped JPEG (as can be evidenced by zooming in on the SWF, or viewing with the Homestar Fullscreen Firefox extension). I guess nobody told them their favorite console doesn't support Flash 8.... for some dumb reason. Octan 18:29, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Gender or Identity?

Should we consider Coach Z wearing the Marzipan costume an incidence of Gender Confusion, Identity Confusion, or, as I think we should, both? That Game Dude 386 20:49, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

I mean, the costume is based on Marzipan, but it is debatable whether or not the costume looks anything like Marzipan. Also, since Coach Z said it was a "Coach Z costume", he clearly didn't know it was based on Marzipan, making it more of a gender confusion, rather than an idenity act. There's my arguments. That Game Dude 386 20:57, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
It is cross-dressing, which is ALWAYS separate from gender confusion. It's identity confusion because he confused marzipan's costume for his own. — Defender1031*Talk 21:12, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Or he confused himself for marzipan - Wecannotbesaved 22:27, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
That too. — Defender1031*Talk 22:31, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
But it is also a gender confusion, since he's wearing a bikini and still thinks it's based on him. That costume, as I've said before, bears little to no resemblence to the real Marzipan. Yes, it is identity confusion, but, by definition, it is also a gender confusion. It's just like when a male character thinks he's pregnant, which is both a pregnacy gag and a gender confusion. That Game Dude 386 00:25, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
And, no cross-dressing is usually when a character dresses up as the opposite gender, not actually thinks that they are that character, so cross-dressing and gender confusion can combine. That Game Dude 386 00:31, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
I hear your argument, i still think it doesn't apply. He's cross dressing and confusing himself for marzipan, not confusing himself for a girl in general. — Defender1031*Talk 02:00, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Marzipan=girl. The only girl, too. I cant see why it can't be both. That Game Dude 386 22:04, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Marzipan=SPECIFIC girl. girl=female. — Defender1031*Talk 22:16, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
He still would have to be gender confused in order to become identity confused. That Game Dude 386 01:16, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Umm... how could he be identity confused. Doesn't he say "this Coach Z costume is spot on"? So that means that he knows that he is Coach Z?--Nogain 01:44, 30 October 2008 (UTC)
Wait... doesn't this mean that because it's 2-vs.-1 that majority rules gender confusion? That Game Dude 386 00:56, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

no. we rule by consensus, not vote. and 3 opinions is hardly consensus. As for nogain's question, he confuses the identity of the costume's origin for his own. — Defender1031*Talk 01:00, 31 October 2008 (UTC)

Marzipan Costume

Okay, does marzipan even have legs? How can she wear that costume? TheThin 21:35, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

No one said she was going to wear it. It's a parody of those "sexy" costumes they put out for women, which typically A) deviate significantly from the source, and 2) expose a lot of flesh. It's a costume of Marzipan, not for her. --DorianGray 21:38, 21 October 2008 (UTC)
Oooohhhh... ok. TheThin 21:41, 21 October 2008 (UTC)

Coach Z's more than 2 problems

Should this be added to the "More than 2 problems" list sence he..well, you know. 71.173.219.117 01:54, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

No. It's part of larger problems already listed there. — Defender1031*Talk 02:03, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

Severed Head

I'd like to know any arguments against adding this cartoon to the list of apperances of Strong Sad's Severed Head. You see Strong Sad's head, talking to the announcer guy, so I'd assume it's a part of the running joke. But someone removed so, I'd just like to ask why.--70.190.0.24 15:02, 22 October 2008 (UTC)

A severed head is a head that was physically removed from the body. Digitally removing the body from a person for a commercial is not the same. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 17:12, 22 October 2008 (UTC)
Then why are Main Page 23 and Pumpkin Carve-nival instances? That Game Dude 386 01:26, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
I actually agree. This should be an instance. — Defender1031*Talk 01:29, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Real-World References

How come there is no section for real world references. 'Tis chokked full of them. 20X6 GEM 00:06, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Such as? I don't see any offhand. Anyway, if you do, you can add them yourself, you know. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 00:08, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, like the "Costume-ish" costumes. They really do have those. Though I'm not quite sure who "they" are. Pointy King 00:02, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Sweatpants

There have been numerous references to sweat pants. Do you think it's enough to warrant its own article? 71.215.134.89 23:34, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

I do. Also, what other times did they appear besides the chair? Pointy King 00:02, 24 October 2008 (UTC)
There's a sketch from December of 2006, but that directly relates to the chair anyway. I dunno. Sweatpants seem fairly significant for both the chair and Costume Commercial. I'd have to agree with Pointy King. OptimisticFool 02:48, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Plastic costumes

Are those plastic-apron costumes still being produced, or is that just 70's retro? 67.55.3.28 03:14, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Cheat mask

The Cheat mask looks familiar. StarFox 21:24, 24 October 2008 (UTC)

Are you reffering to licensed? Those masks are of the same quality... That Game Dude 386 01:20, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
