Ding! Couch Mumbling is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

[edit] Doing what was done for...

What about doing what was done for the Floppy Disk Container? On each toon it appears in, just link it to the id-tag, instead of putting it in real-world references?

Or something along those lines? Thunderbird 17:02, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Pilot Wings

I actually have Pilot Wings for the N64.

The available vehicles are: Gyrocoptor (like a cross between a helicoptor and airplane-- two propellors, one in front, one in back) Rocket Belt (jetpack) Hang Glider

Biplanes were not available, nor actual helicoptors.

After unlocking them, you could also fly with: Human Cannonball Wings strapped to your arms (called "birdman") Skydiving Jump Boots (I don't remember the exact name for these)

Just making the information on the page more accurate. xP

Hmm... My SNES poster on the wall above my bed says "You'll take-off, fly, and land a classic biplane. And the farther you go, the tougher it gets until you face the ultimate test — piloting a helicopter on a dangerous emergency rescue mission!" But then, of course, it showed box art for Special Tee Shot so who knows? I never had the game. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 09:36, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
You actually never even SEE a biplane in the game, although there are helicoptor landing pads (only on Wingman and Jump Boots stages, I think, as other times they became landing targets). You never fly a helicoptor, either. Also, I don't think there are rescue missions, though you do shoot missiles at a giant robot... but I dunno how far that counts as 'rescue'. Wait, SNES? That's a whole 'nother Pilot Wings right there. I'onno. SB could be referencing either.

[edit] Graw Mad Mumbling

In Toikey TV, Strong Mad says "FLUFFY PUFF CASSAROLE!" while he's falling asleep (or maybe in his sleep)... could this be another instance of couch mumbling? --168.122.185.181 00:57, 25 March 2008 (UTC) Zero.exe

[edit] RhinoFeeder??!!?!

Okay, so I won't get to play the game for another hour or so. But "RhinoFeeder"? I saw a preview on IGN and it was... I don't remember, but not RhinoFeeder. Then again, since it's a commercial work, I can see why they changed it. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 00:27, 12 August 2008 (UTC)

Should it be specially noted that Rhinofeeder is the ONLY case so far that didn't use an actual SNES game?

And what of the fact Rhinofeeder was likely chosen for being the most SNES-like Videlectrix game?
Super Contra, name notwithstanding, was not an actual SNES game. It was, however, an actual NES game. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 03:32, 8 October 2008 (UTC)

In the preview, he mumbled "Super Punch-Out!!." In the actual game, however, he mumbles "RhinoFeeder." Dunno why it was changed. 68.91.130.21 04:47, 18 December 2008 (UTC)

I mentioned this in a separate topic below. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 02:41, 19 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Copywrong?

I'm seeing mention about the alleged copyright issue when Strong Bad mentions RhinoFeeder in Homestar Ruiner. I saw a preview on IGN that played the intro sequence, but in it, he mentioned a real SNES game (can't remember which offhand), so yes, it was changed. Was it due to copyright? Can't say but I wouldn't doubt it. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 18:47, 7 October 2008 (UTC)

Confirmed: it was Super Punch-Out. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 18:56, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
