Ding! Frank Bennedetto is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

Where does Frank get his last name? Bennedetto? Maybe it's a brand name of kitchen appliances....

Isn't the name supposed to be Bandito, and Homestar is just pronouncing it wrong (ban-dit-o instead of ban-deet-o, much like the way they pronounce gazebo as gaze-bo instead of ga-zee-bo)? I always thought the joke was that it first appears that he was referring to one of his "men" as a bandito, and then later refers to his mother as Mrs. Bandito as though it was a last name (and then even giving him a first name of Frank). And then on top of all that is the mispronunciation just to be even funnier.

Not really. My gym teachers name is Bennedetto. Maybe they just felt like making that his name...

The common spelling of the name is actually Benedetto, and it's possible that with the many references to guitar and rock culture it's a reference to this man: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Benedetto Note particularly that he is now based in Savannah, surely TBC have aquaintances there.

Benedetto is also Tony Bennett's real last name, seems pretty commonish. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tony_Bennett

Bennedetto Brand?

Anyone happen to know what brand and possibly model of popcorn maker Frank is? We had one that was similar back in the 1980s and early 90s, but if I had to stab a guess, I'd say it could easily be something made by Black & Decker. Any ideas? --Spanky The Dolphin 07:02, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

There's some non-comittal, inconclusive discussion of it at army#Commentary Transcript, and a wiki opinion at army#Real-World References. —AbdiViklas 07:18, 17 January 2006 (UTC)
I see. I have no idea how I missed that...--Spanky The Dolphin 21:39, 17 January 2006 (UTC)

Is Frank in the wallpaper?

I don't see Frank in that wallpaper. Am I missing something?

Yep. He's off to the right. On the "Don't let them!" poster. --DorianGray 21:12, 10 May 2007 (UTC)

Life and Death

"At that time, he was believed to have died.... It has later been shown that Frank Bennedetto has not actually perished in combat....." Uhh, we are aware that this is a popcorn machine we are talking about, right? SaltyTalk! 04:17, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

It's also treated as a character. --DorianGray 04:18, 3 March 2008 (UTC)
Maybe to you he's merely a popcorn machine, but to Colonel Homestar Runner, he's a friggin' patriot. As he's expressed as a character within the universe of H*R, we document him as such. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 05:36, 3 March 2008 (UTC)

Express Review on EPinion's

Added a link to a joke one after the main link to the Epinion's product profile -- StarHomeWalker 13:39, 25 December 2009 (UTC)

That's what we call a sighting. As funny as it is, it doesn't belong on this page. — Defender1031*Talk 18:43, 25 December 2009 (UTC)
