I go to Georgia Tech and attended the event in question, so Tom offered to let me reserve the right to do the transcript of the video. It's a long video (1 hour), so it'll take me a few days. Bear with me.

Given the sheer length of the video, I've split the transcript into two parts for easier reading and navigation. The first part, which I've just posted, is the first half hour where the Brothers Chaps provide Flash demos to the audience. The second half will be the Q&A with the audience, and I'll probably have that online by Wednesday night.

As a point of interest, one of the demos was the exclusive Strong Bad E-mail that will accompany strongbad_email.exe Disc Five, which the Brothers Chaps think will be out in the next month or so. The sound quality on the e-mail is not as good as it was for the Brothers Chaps themselves, since the Chaps were wearing microphones that fed directly into the camera. Nevertheless, I've provided the best transcript I could.

I've added the the transcript for the first half of the Q&A. Unfortunately, I wanted to get the entire thing done by tonight, but this is all I was able to do. I'll start on the second half in the morning.

You're certainly welcome to start, although the transcript's not yet complete. I have the last quarter of it about 90% done and will have it uploaded before I go to bed tonight.

"On April 26, 2007, The Brothers Chaps appeared at a talk at the Multimedia Studio of Georgia Tech. The event was scheduled to include Q&A, background info, a Flash demo and more.

The event took place in the Library on the Georgia Tech campus. It was organized by Alison Valk and Joel Linderman. It took place in the multimedia studio that houses all of their high end multimedia software and equipment, as well as being "homebase" for the Georgia Tech iMovieFest. The studio is currently decked out as "Mario-land" and discussions have taken place regarding the possibility of doing a Homestar Runner theme for the summer months.

Due to various programs on campus and the high interest of many of the students there in Flash animation, Alison and Joel felt The Brothers Chaps would be ideal speakers. Alison focused on the idea of collaborating with her management to bring in some "nontraditional speakers" to the library, such as "the guys from Homestar Runner". "

I don't speak for Spiralagnus, nor the HRWiki, but you can find licensing info on the General disclaimer page. Content on the HRWiki is under a Creative Commons license, which I believe would allow you to incorporate the material into your publication, assuming it is noncommercial and assuming you give attribution.

FYI, most of the paragraphs in question was written by Tom, and may have been edited by other users since. As such, I think the appropriate licensor would be the HRWiki itself (under the aforementioned CC license) rather than Spiralagnus. — InterruptorJones 15:43, 4 May 2007 (UTC)

Agreed. The content of the Wiki is maintained and edited by the entire community and is therefore the property of the Wiki itself instead of an individual person. Please credit the Wiki.
