More examples needed

We also need images of the other sunglasses, not just Dangeresque Too's. — It's dot com 01:31, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Why not use the image Dot com uploaded for STUFF? —BazookaJoe 01:33, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Alright then. I'll use the one with three pairs. I'll also add the one on Main Page 3. -Lotionman 01:48, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)Lotionman

I added the new picture. -Lotionman 01:48, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)Lotionman

Ooh, I like that 2x2 image, Lotionman. Good prize! — It's dot com 01:49, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)
A tiny suggestion... do you have this image in an original larger form? Clicking on the thumbnail doesn't provide a more detailed view. — It's dot com 01:51, 16 Aug 2005 (UTC)
The new, larger image is nice. — It's dot com 14:39, 17 Aug 2005 (UTC)
Good work, Lotionman. I tried to help make the image as quality as possible without taking up too much space. We certainly accomplished this (as a team)! —THE PAPER PREEEOW 03:35, 18 Aug 2005 (UTC)

There are 5 examples but 4 pictures. Can someone maybe fix that?--Martin925 03:07, 31 Aug 2005 (UTC)

The image is good the way it is. The 2x2 format looks mighty nice. Plus, we don't need to show every example possible. If someone really wants to see it, he or she can always watch the toon. — It's dot com 03:15, 31 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Dangeresque Too/Cool Things

Now that I look at the Dangeresque glasses and the yella paint glasses side by side, I can definately tell that they are very similar, if not the exact same pair.--Martin925 03:08, 31 Aug 2005 (UTC)

They are quite similar. Of course, the yella paint shades don't have the cool venetian-blinds action goin' on. — It's dot com 03:13, 31 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Yella Shades

I always thought that homestar somehow pulled yellow shades MADE of paint, not covered in paint.-- Benol, aka Coach B 00:35, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

Covered in paint. Things get covered in paint if they are in paint. — talk Bubsty edits 00:36, 3 December 2005 (UTC)
To me it always looked like they were formed out of paint, and neverr were shades. I mean, Bubs didn't stick something in the cans.
Benol, please sign your posts, unless you were trying to act like a different person, in which case, nice try. But anyway, we never saw Bubs put 'em in. but remember his words? "I slipped the cool shades in can #2!" — talk Bubsty edits 00:44, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

Sunglasses

Since so many appearances of sunglasses unworn by Homestar have occured, I request a move to "Sunglasses", which currently redirects here. SaltyTalk! 22:44, 31 July 2006 (UTC)

I agree - there are actually more occurrences (now) of other characters wearing shades/sunglasses than with Homestar that it makes little sense for this to be a Homestar-specific article.
Though, I have to ask, are sunglasses really all that noteworthy? They may not appear in every toon, but they don't exactly stand out as unique, universe-defining items, outside of more specific contexts like Dangeresque and Cool Things. And in those cases, the shades are properly called out in the appropriate articles. (Also, there is a connection to Lack of Visible Arms#Ears, in that shades seem to be held on the characters' faces despite not having visible ears.) I'm wondering if this article is really necessary, and if sunglasses are really a "running gag" at all. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 06:30, 26 December 2006 (UTC)

Shades in Keep Cool

This is just a general wonderment, but since this category is titled "Homestar's Shades", shouldn't "keep cool" be removed from the list, since Strong Bad is the only one wearing shades in that toon? Unless I'm missing something...--NoMayonnaise 23:12, 30 April 2007 (UTC)

Anyone have an opinion on this?--NoMayonnaise 20:24, 1 May 2007 (UTC)
