Per [[Talk:Painting_of_a_Guy_with_a_Big_Knife#Capitalization]] I would like to suggest that this page be moved to [[How do you type with boxing gloves on?]].  However, a redirect already exists in that page and since I'm not an admin, I cannot move this page into the redirect (with a rather colorful, {{pl|l=http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=How_do_you_type_with_boxing_gloves_on%3F&action=history history}} <!-- this link only works before the move, once the move is complete it will no longer make sense -->); how is it that a troll noticed something we hadn't!?  Anyway, I digress, as usual.  I'm not sure if the capitalization issue has been completely settled, but I think there is enough agreement for this one to go ahead. Haven't you seen all the evidence!?!? He clearly types with a combination of his thumbs and lightly tapping the keys with the top part. I rest my case.

Current revision as of 02:07, 18 April 2015

Ding! How do you type with boxing gloves on? is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

  • As I understand it, Strong Bad does not type with boxing gloves on his hands, his hands are boxing gloves the same way Homestar, Marzipan, Homsar, and the King of Town don't have arms. -- The Real Zajac 20:20, 4 Jan 2005 (PST)

[edit] It all becomes clear...

It all becomes crystal clear after watching SBEmail 37, Dullard. Go on, watch it.

Stinkoman's question would probably be "How do you type with fighting gloves on?' right?
I think it would be more like, "How do you type with shiny red balls on your hands?" -- Super Sam 09:48, 17 Aug 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Title

Is there any way to shorten this? It is a pretty awkward title. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 01:54, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

It's not that bad. Before shortening, Count Longardeaux's Book was way longer. It took up two lines. I like it the way it is, but I will present a suggestion anyway: Typing with Boxing Gloves. --DorianGray
Aw, this is an awesome title! If you need to shorten it in an article, you can always use a piped link. But this really isn't something that gets linked to every day. For an absurdly long title, see this page. — It's dot com 02:03, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

Holy crap. Nevermind. Just never let us get a title that long. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 15:10, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

I know this discussion was over a month ago, but I say that I like this title. — talk Bubsty edits 02:06, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Theories

I think Strong Bad has Technokinesis or short range Telekinesis. - BlackWidower 22:59, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

no, he probly has one of those thigs that allows u to type by talking into it, which would also explain how the text changes when he changes tone, something about that was in one of the commentaries, cant remember which one it was

Or maybe it is just some running gag in a dumb kid show about dumb animal characters. Geez, not even I am this worked up over stuff like that.
Or maybe this conversation is over 3 years old and you ARE getting worked up about it... — Defender1031*Talk 22:46, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
The main problem with the talking theory is that in pom pom, he talked clear English and random letters still appeared on the screen. I think he just types normally. I mean, try typing with oven mitts or boxing gloves. I bet you can type normally. User:doctorwho295 7 March 2010

[edit] Caps in Title

Do we really need to capitalize every word in this title? How about only the first word, ala What are you supposed to be? Has Matt? (talk) 03:35, 2 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] How he types W.B.G.O

I think I know how he types With boxing gloves on. When he goes to his compy/lappy/tandy he takes them off and keeps them on top of his hands with the string. He probably also puts his fingers right on the keys so nobody sees his fingers. NO!!! PLEASE... DON'T SHOOT!!! Tampo (T/C) AND SOMEONE GET THiS FREAKiN CURSOR AWAY FROM ME!!!!! 23:54, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

But boxing gloves are his hands... Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:56, 9 April 2006 (UTC)

Shouldn't the {{featuredarticle}} be on this article?--H*Bad 19:47, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

[edit] SMS

Would it be appros to add the reference in the end of virus where he mimicks "How do you text with boxing gloves on?"? MetaStar 02:40, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Sure, why not? We list every other specific appearance. =3 --DorianGray

[edit] Homestar Quiz

In the Homestar Quiz, Strong Bad shows his real hands. Shouldn't that be in this article, too? (just thought I'd ask first, before adding it myself) kartoffel (D.C.) 19:01, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Those are oven mitts. -- Tom 19:03, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
