Released someday?

Does anybody know when this game is being released?

Probably NEVER. -Kinsey

yeah, just like those 30 billion other videlectrix games that are never gonna come out. It really bugs me how they have those previews but never have the game itself. --— talk Bubsty edits 23:25, 28 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I hate to reply to such an old thread, but somebody's gonna pretty soon. So just for posterity... It was just released. Go figure.
We have had a lot of couple people tell us that they firmly believe 'Kid Speedy' will never come out. We Videlectrix types would like to take this opportunity to spit on those people. After eating a bunch of Skittles.
They're talking to you two, Bubsty and Kinsey. ;) Thunderbird 13:11, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
That is quite hilarious and has made my night. I love you all. —BazookaJoe 02:53, 23 July 2006 (UTC)

Have you noticed

If you qualify in all tracks in the single player mode you unlock the "strong sad mode". I'ts probably the same for the multiplayer mode, but I havn't tried that till now. And what magic we might unleash if we even complete both single- and multiplayer mode with strong sad? Who noes.. Cisz 89.53.24.3 13:43, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

I finished Strong Sad mode single player, and got the Kid Speedy ending again - it just didn't tell me that I'd unlocked Strong Sad mode, since I already had it. That wasn't worth it. -- Mithent 18:01, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

For the fun facts, I don't think that the phrase "wide load" being used to describe someone fat is at all attributed to an episode of the Simpsons, it's been around for a very long time. If anything, it comes from the warning sign put on the backs of very wide vehicles.

Online?

I don't get why when i play online play that everybody else are the fast people. And also, how can it find people THAT quickly?

Um 75.18.172.239, I don't think it's actually online.Geshmalder 15:01, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Yep. After a thoraugh [sic] check over the actionscript, I found nothing that suggests sending and recieving data from online-related servers. Shadow Scythe of Strongbadia?! 15:30, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Its not online. Didnt you wonder why the other people had names, but you never got to type one in? I'm hoping that that comment was sarcastic.... - DumbMuscle (too lazy/depressed to sign on)
Rest assured. My comment was indeed sarcastic.
It reminds me of how the microsoft hearts game says that you're playing on a "network," when really it's just the computer playing. I've seen the "play online" thing elsewhere, but I can't remember where. I thought it was funny.
Microsoft Hearts CAN be played with other people over a network, I used to play it back on the Windows 3.11 network in my elementary school computer lab. --68.10.142.29 22:34, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Regarding the Simpsons Fun Fact

I really don't think that "Wide Loading" is a reference to the Simpsons. Wide load is a common sign used on trucks, and the fact tha the Simpsons used the same joke is merely coincidence...

As long as we're talking about non-references: It's terribly inappropriate of me to do so, but I can't help quietly musing that "GOB" could be an Arrested Development reference... —AbdiViklas 04:09, 11 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, but "Wide Load" is a joke (a cruel one perhaps) that targets overweight people. It says WIDE LOADING because Kid Speedy is overweight, hence the joke applies to him. It is not a reference to the Simpsons, IMO... just because they both use the same type of joke. It is just a reference to that type of joke. Does that make sense? --Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 23:36, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Extra Fast

Has anybody ever played, and seen these three extremely fast kids, who speed across the race in about three seconds? They're not the three you usually race, they are there too, but this was weird. It was on Demon Rub after I'd beaten the other seven. SaltyTalk! 15:59, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Those are the runners that are tothe left of the screen when playing the flash file. They don't always appear on Demon Rub, they appear on the eighth track after you complete the other seven. They could appear on the first track if you finish all the other seven "not last". Steve Talk Contributions 16:25, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

No like his style

Can "NEB" in one of the online mode names be a reference to Neb-1? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 17:50, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Using a seekbar, it seems that the base name is indeed "NEB1". - Joshua 17:54, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Cheat

Did you know if you go to the flash file. You can skip levels by pressing play. You can unlock strong sad that way faster.

It's not a cheat, it's a Flash artifact. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:32, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Front Picture

The picture we have now isn't from the actual game itself, it's from the Videlectrix catalog. We'll need a new one.--DumDe 18:47, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

Is It Possible...

...to actually place higher than 3rd? -GG Crono 21:15, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

I once got 2nd, but I guess it's pure luck, as the other runners' speed is somewhat random. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 21:37, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
Keeping the green bar at full all the time isn't necessarily the easiest way to gain on the other runners. When you're ahead of the slowest runner, he runs faster. Once you're behind him, his speed slows down to yours after he pulls ahead to a comfortable distance. I don't believe that technique could be used to come in first, though.
It's most likely impossible to get first, but I got second two or three times, but it really is mostly luck. Vol Chem, 1st Tile of Ical 04:02, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

This might go without saying and all, but it's not difficult to come in first with Homestar. Danny Lilithborne 04:33, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

The Cheat Mode

Has anyone else got The Cheat Mode? --Dinoshaur 13:41, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

I've heard of Strong Sad Mode. How in the world did you unlock The Cheat Mode? --Color Printer 16:59, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

The Cheat mode?!!? Choco 01:44, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Decompiling the Flash file shows no The Cheat sprites. --DorianGray
That's like asking, "Hey, have you gotten Toad in SSBM?" ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 15:49, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
I've beat Kid Speedy and Strong Sad in both modes and it does not give me anything. If you would care to say how you did it (as I know you don't lie much). Stongbah 21:10, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Doriangray, I don't care what bullhonkey you guys use here at the knowledge base, but don't remove my comments. Inside a part of the wall in the loop in the original version and it showed Teh C sprites. I can't find it again or find any use of them in the new version. I saw a single Teh C sprite. Forgot I said anything. --Dinoshaur 19:23, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
(original comment by Dinoshaur, moved from Mom's hair) I decompiled the flash and saw The Cheat sprites in a certain movie clip of the wall in the loop, and I was meaning to say if anyone had got The Cheat mode, I haven't, maybe it's just that it was something removed, sorry for the confusion. --Dinoshaur 11:40, 16 July 2006 (UTC)~
Wait... Did you decompile it, or see it in the game? ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 22:41, 21 July 2006 (UTC)
Dinoshaur: Your original comment was accidentally posted further down, in Mom's hair. Nobody removed it, but I moved it back to this section for you. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 23:20, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Mom Speedy

Does anybody have a picture of Mom Speedy? 큰 뚱뚱한 분실자 14:34, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

I won the game, then used it in a Stinkoman Sprite Comic that I did. If you're interested in one, you can check that one out. ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 15:47, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Oh, and there are no Mom Speedy sprites in the game. ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 14:50, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Mom's hair

Is it just me, or does Mom Speedy's hair change every time you beat it? I could've sworn it was brown before.... SaltyTalk! 00:00, 15 July 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I thought so too. Maybe it was a 1.new fix. Bub 00:35, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Hybrid Cars

I think this new version now makes the third (?) mention of hybrid cars on the website. Does that qualify it as a running gag? Especially since it seems to be associated with Marzipan? First two mentions are: Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2 ("Your subscription to Soy... Bread... Tofu... Hybrid... Cars... Magazine") and secret identity (Scarfgirl Magazine). — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 15:54, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Strong Sad loses speed?

I never noticed this in the last version of the game, but playing today, it looks like Strong Sad loses speed faster than Kid Speedy. Anyone else notice this? --Jay (Talk) 16:26, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Seriously!!!

They need to make this game be able to save cookies like Stinkoman 20X6!!! Bassium! m OCE

I agree. And, with that being the case, you should be able to choose which character to play (otherwise, you'd only be able to play Homestar after unlocking him.) Ah, well. This is kinda forumish. --Jay (Talk) 00:59, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

GOBI

Is "GOBI" more likely a reference to the Gobi Desert, or the camel named Gobi in the video game Banjo-Kazooie? — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 04:19, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

I'd go with the desert, considering the camel was probably named for it. --DorianGray

Meet the King of Town. He is a terrific athlete.

  • I find it hilarious that when I play Homestar mode, usually it's the King of Town that is pulling ahead. Danny Lilithborne 04:26, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
    • It's because the character in the top position (always the KoT when you're Homestar) always tries to roughly match your speed. --Jay (Talk) 04:39, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Anoter Glitche

If you play it on the flash kind once I started the 8th level race as my first first race, there were two guys running frantically on the left behind the black line. Bassium! m OCE

They're the 3 racers that zoom ahead of you when you're on the final race (not final as in the 8th one in the list, final as in you've qualified in the other 7)... they just sit off to the left when they're not being used. Outside the frame == not a glitch. --phlip TC 04:07, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

Kid Speedy Ending Viewer

A friend of mine made a flash file contatining all 4 Kid Speedy endings. Click Here Should I put it in external links? - The good...X On Fire (SSX)...And the good again. 17:52, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

I think we have a policy (or at least a practise) not to put fan creations in the external links (like the cheat version of Stinkoman 20X6). Sorry. --DorianGray
Besides, you can just use a seek bar to do the same thing. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 20:53, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
However, we'll gladly shelter your friend's masterpiece over at the Fanstuff Wiki. ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 21:28, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Spooky Forest

Is it just me, or does the special Strong Sad-only track look like the Spooky Forest? --Color Printer 20:56, 19 July 2006 (UTC)

CRZY

Aren't some of these links/explanations in the CPU names getting a bit out of hand? I understand ones like NEB, DAN, LEM and 8BAL, but Miss Piggy? Toad? Full Motion Video? Uh... yeah. I think we're reaching here. - Joshua 01:38, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

Agreed. I've pruned. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 01:47, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
I think FMV is Full Motion Video, though. Stongbah Preeow! 21:45, 22 July 2006 (UTC)
FMV can stand for other things too... --phlip TC 22:30, 22 July 2006 (UTC)

12 Stones

One of the background music tracks sounds exactly like the beginning of a 12 Stones song, either "Shadows" or "3 Leaf Loser," I don't remember. Can someone help me figure this out? If you heard it you'd understand, there is absolutely no mistaking it. And 12 Stones is a really popular band (they're that rock band that appeared in that hit by Evanescence, remember?). Can't I just put up that it might have been inspired by that song when I figure out which song it was? Darth Katana X (discussionitem_icon.gif user.gif mail_icon.gif)

You can always STUFF it. I recommend you do so with links to samples of the original source material so people can compare and draw their own conclusions. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 00:09, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
