I did an experiment about what spit bubbles in your throught make you sound like. They make yoyu sound kinda like Stitch. Or, If your yelling, Strong Mad.

No, it is not safe to assume that. Assumptions are rarely safe. Especially since the KOT said he did not eat it, and he called in about the guitar licks. Not to mention with all the voice impersonation going on, we can't even say it was the KOT at all. --JamesDean 05:12, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Guitar fun fact

I liked this fact (although would suggest it be reworded by someone better than me):

• "Furious Fingers" claims to have 17 guitars with 43 necks. With a ratio of roughly 2.5 necks per guitar, he must own several triple necked guitars and likely a few doubles as well.

The notable thing isnt so much the presence of the guitars, but the sheer number of multi-necked ones (if only 3 neck and one necked, then 13 would have to be triple, or 8 double and 9 triple), which strikes me (although i will admit that I am musically challenged at best) as a bit odd. Assuming no more than 3 necks per guitar (which I accept is wrong, but more seems to be rare from the Wikipedia article), over half have to be triple for this to work. Multiple-necked guitars are not so unusual - especially back in the 80's, you saw them quite a bit. Is it unusual for someone who collects guitars to have a lot of them? Future Category

So far this toon is only linked from the main page, but that is expected to change once the Brothers Chaps finish this story arc. While it will probably end up as a "Short", would it also be acceptable to classify this as a "Not-Quite-Strong-Bad-Email"? --The Real Zajac 15:45, 25 Sept 2006 (PDT)

Crocodile Neighba

Sorry, I didn't realize that had been added/removed before. But aside from that, I think it's a pretty clear reference to "Pearls Before Swine." The crocodile next-door neighbors regularly appear in the strip trying to trick Zebra. I've read PBS daily until about a year ago, and I don't think there's a reference here. I mean, Homestar is not trying to trick SB. Sure, it sounds as if it could be a reference, but Homestar might just as well be weird as usual. Loafing 04:55, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

I don't think it is a reference to PBS because the crocodile next door is always trying to eat the zebra, not make cookies.

Also, the crocodiles try to trick Zebra into coming over to their house or letting them into his house, usually by asking him to do something that seems innocuous (like borrowing a cup of sugar). And since (until "Marzipan" turns out to be Homestar) the message is a parody of Strong Bad leaving ridiculous prank calls on Marzipan's answering machine, the reference seems to fit nicely. 128.227.130.28 05:27, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Strong Bad's Phone Number

Based on the tones I'm hearing at the start of the e-mail, it seems like Strong Bad's phone number is 415-6715. Is that something worthy of putting in the Fun Facts Somewhere? --Hyrulian 04:58, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I'd agree on that point. Poor person getting phone calls for Strong Bad. Anyway yeah, I was just listening carefully to the sounds on the toon and comparing it to the sounds on my cell phone. (Funny thing is, I actually kinda had an approximation on what the number might have been just based on listening to the tones on the toon many times, I guess I'm such a geek...) Another way to find out would be to probably try sending the sounds of that e-mail to your pager or cell phone as a numeric page and see what number comes out, although the sound quality of the toon might not be good enough for that. --Hyrulian 18:04, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Marzipan?

I think Marzipan should be included in the cast list, since it's obviously Marzipan's voice, even if it's a joke that it's really homestar just sounding like Marzipan. It's clearly Missy Palmer's voice. Dwedit 05:09, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

Transcript's Voice Identification

The specific question at hand is whether a not-yet-recognizable voice should be identified in the transcript as who it is later revealed to be. My thought would be that the transcripts here should read as much as possible like a viewing of the toon (which is the larger question at hand, the alternative viewpoint being, I suppose, that they should reflect some sort of absolute truth), in which case homestar's first sentence or two should be attributed to Marzipan (or, a compromise I would prefer, to "Marzipan's voice"). Likewise, Strong Sad's first sentence would be attributed to "Deep Scary Voice" or something like that. [I don't know how to make a signature|sorry] 03:02, 26 September 2006 (EST)

We usually try, as you put it, to "reflect some sort of absolute truth", so the way it is is fine. To make a signature, just type a string of tilde characters: four if you want a time stamp with it (generally preferred, but by no means mandatory) or three if you don't. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 07:17, 26 September 2006 (UTC)

We at least recognize this in the subtitles, where the "distorted voice" and "Marzipan" are counted separately from the actual speakers. But that's more due to the nature of the subtitles, I suppose; it'd ruin the joke for those with subtitles on otherwise. We know so little about the exact lay of the land in Free Country, USA. Does this toon prove that Homestar and the Brothers Strong are actual next-door neighbors?

I don't think that can be proved without actually seeing both houses next to each other. --DorianGray
