Odd. When I move my mouse over the bar near the top-right corner that says that "log in/create account" stuff it moves all the way to the left. What gives? Also, the edit box has itty-bitty spaces between lines. Odd. -Color Printer, I can't log in for some reason.

There are a lot of talk page discussions happening on this wiki. The problem is, this wiki is not very active, so such discussions rarely get consensus and very few things get done. (That's why I'm {{p|l=http://hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Links&diff=777176&oldid=777175 always}} {{p|l=http://hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Puppet_Character_Variations&diff=prev&oldid=776839 reviving}} {{p|l=http://hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Homestar_Runner_20th_Anniversary_Show&diff=prev&oldid=775801 old}} {{p|l=http://hrwiki.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Teenage_Variation&diff=prev&oldid=776233 discussions}} with a phrase like "I still agree with this.") I think there should be some way to keep track of all the ongoing discussions. Maybe a <nowiki>[[HRWiki:Discussions]]</nowiki> page or something to keep these discussions from becoming inactive. {{User:Gfdgsgxgzgdrc/sig‎}} 01:37, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

::::::To clarify, I think the one Trey links to above is the way to go. I know another one was recently uploaded which is more like our current logo, with Homestar smiling. But the original seems more fitting to me: less distracting, plus mouth closed kind of makes sense if you're in the snow. {{User:Heimstern Läufer/sig}} 03:07, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
+
-
:::::::I also prefer the one Trey linked to. However, the newest one ([[:Image:Dweenlogo.gif|here]]) has a nice touch that I like: snow sitting on the letters. Unless bleed0range can add the snow to the older one (he explained that it's a difficult task to create these things), I think we should stick with the logo Trey linked to. {{User:FireBird/sig}} 03:13, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

I had a slightly different take on it. Here is [[:Image:HRWiki logo frozen.gif|our current logo frozen over]]. I used elements from our current logo and the ones above. +
-
:::I'd prefer it if we only use one logo. I like the blue background better, but I really like the snow. It's only for a few days, so I don;t think it would be all too distracting.{{User:Loafing/sig}} 04:52, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
+
-
::::I think we should use the one of the two red & green and falling snow logos until the end of Christmas (and change the "what's new" part of the Main page to green) — after the end of Christmas, go to the frozen-over one. I like them both, but to me, the red & green says "Decemberween" and the frozen one says "winter". {{User:Trey56/sig}} 05:01, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
+
-
:::::To clarify myself and elaborate: [[:Image:Hrwiki dween logo.gif]] until the end of Christmas, then [[:Image:HRWiki logo frozen.gif]] for a while beyond that. Let's compromise, please. Bleedy made a very nice logo and he worked very hard to make it. These are both great Decemberween- and Winter-themed logos, respectively, and I would like to see them both used. Four days of animated falling snow is a very short time, and it deserves at least that much. —[[User:BazookaJoe|BazookaJoe]] 05:08, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
+
-
::::::Yes, it's best that we don't let something like that go to waste. I suggest that we put it up now. Then change it to the Decemberween logo. And then after that we change it back to the falling snow one until after the New Years. Or we could just try that alternating thing...--[[User:H*Bad|H*Bad]] 05:24, 22 December 2006 (UTC)
+
-
:::::::Just to clarify: I am calling the falling snow one the Decemberween one. The one It's dot com uploaded I would like to call Winter or Frozen, if I may. —[[User:BazookaJoe|BazookaJoe]] 05:29, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

-
::::::::Reverse what I said. Snow falling one, Decemberween one. The one that Dot com made, could be used until New Years.--[[User:H*Bad|H*Bad]] 05:36, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

-
I think we should take BazookaJoe's suggestion (D'ween colors now; switch to the frozen one after Christmas). The fast falling snow just doesn't look right, so I think we should use the original D'ween one. I wish the one with the slower falling snow looked more like the smiling pose, but oh well. I'm sure it could be tweaked, but given the lateness of the month, I think we should do whatever we're gonna do right away. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 05:53, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

:3) You'll have to be more specific as to what that means exactly. We aren't involved with homestarrunner.com, so we can't take down someone else's website. And The Brothers Chaps are planning to give the site a HTML5 update, so they won't take it down.

:::::Look, I'm not sure what your issues are, but the simple truth is that the best thing for you to do is behave like someone who has never even heard the name "Maudi Algabban" (we are not fooled, we know who you are) and has literally zero curiosity about the name or the user's history, while also showing no particular interest toward all the things you show far too much interest over (such as the Pyongyang reference, the hiatuses, and the possibility of homestarrunner.com being taken down) and never, ever, even for a moment, even consider writing loud yelling, swearing posts demanding people unblock you and give you answers to questions we have no way of answering. Also, make constructive Wiki edits (that means not vandalism, with or without scare quotes), not just Talk page chatter. Basically, you need to start over completely and pretend you are not and were never you and do not care about you - and that doesn't mean to insult yourself, it means ''do not mention'' yourself. Back when there was only a small number of DVDs it was simple. Now, with so many for sale, it's a little more confusing for the new fan to know where to find a particular toon on a DVD. For example, the article for [[The System is Down]] does indicate there is DVD commentary, but it does not list which DVD it is on. I'm thinking it easily could indicate that this toon is found on [[Everything Else, Volume 1]] in the article. Proposing, as a project for a few industious type people, that (1) somewhere in the article in some way (what that way is should be discussed) that the toon is available on a specific DVD, and/or (2) categories for the contents of each DVD be created.
+
-

I'm thinking we divide it down to the volume it's contained on. This means there are 4 strongbad_email.exe DVDs and 2 Everything Else DVDs currently. Thoughts, proposals and comments are welcome. {{User:Qermaq/sig}} 22:34, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

:I like the idea. I want to pair up both Trey's format and DVD-specific categories. I also would like to split the categories ([[:Category:strongbad_email.exe DVD|[1]]], [[:Category:Everything Else DVD|[2]]]) into Category:strongbad_email.exe Disc 1; strongbad_email.exe Disc 2; strongbad_email.exe Disc 3; strongbad_email.exe Disc 4; Everything Else, Volume 1; and Everything Else, Volume 2. :Last thing to figure out before we make all the changes: does the "'''DVD:'''" heading go at the very top of the page (along with page title, running time, etc.), or underneath the "DVD Version" header? I say, put it at the very top of the page — that way you can see exactly where you can view the toon without having to read to the bottom. I know there are times in the past where I've had trouble figuring out on a page whether the toon could be viewed on the web or not. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 06:21, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

Someone comes across the category at the bottom of a toon's page and infers that that category has everything related to the DVD disc, including all other toons... because that toon is already in the category. —[[User:BazookaJoe|BazookaJoe]] 06:47, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

::::Yes, I think that's a good idea. See the {{p|l=http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php?title=HRWiki:Sandbox&oldid=400857 current sandbox}}. In addition, I think the encompassing categories need to be changed to '''strongbad_email.exe DVD series''' and '''Everything Else DVD series''' (or with '''Series''' capitalized in both cases) instead of just '''DVD'''. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 16:46, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

::::::Because Everything Else isn't just one DVD, and neither is strongbad_email.exe. They are each a series of DVDs, and the category name should reflect that. ::::::::The two things that I'm not sure whether we decided are (1) does the data go at the top of the page or under "DVD Version"? and (2) what should the names of the categories be? I haven't been following the second question, but as soon as we figure out the first question, we can start adding in the templates (cats can be sorted out as the templates are being added). I think the consensus has been leaning towards the top of the page, but it's not entirely clear to me. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 05:18, 10 January 2007 (UTC)

You keep using [[Wikipedia:Parody|that word]] waayyyyyyyyy toooooooooooo muuuuuuuuuuuuch, even when other words like "spoof" or "reference" would be appropriate. I swear that if you looked it up in the Dictionary of the HRWiki, it'd say "See GOD" right next to it. Honestly, you use it like it's the Bible or something. This website alone is what made me consider that word in the league with "da**" and "sh**". Please change as many instances of this word as possible.

[edit] Discussions

There are a lot of talk page discussions happening on this wiki. The problem is, this wiki is not very active, so such discussions rarely get consensus and very few things get done. (That's why I'm always reviving old discussions with a phrase like "I still agree with this.") I think there should be some way to keep track of all the ongoing discussions. Maybe a [[HRWiki:Discussions]] page or something to keep these discussions from becoming inactive. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 01:37, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

I still agree with this. (See? That proves my point!) Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 06:17, 15 August 2018 (UTC)
There's HRWiki:Open Discussions - not really active, but since it's directly linked from The Stick it could be revived easily. -- Bleu Ninja 21:40, 27 September 2019 (UTC)

[edit] Some questions we would like to ask about...

Hi there, I'm a stranger who wants to ask you some questions.

1) When will ALL the old Flash pages turn to HTML5?

2) When are you going to UNBAN IP addresses who "committed" persistent vandalism?

3) If Flash is dead, are you going to cancel HomestarRunner.com ?

4) Why wouldn't we see ANY updates from 2011 to 2014?

5) Could y'all please tell us what email The Brothers Chaps have?

--83.185.35.154 18:37, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

1) We don't know. Ask the Brothers Chaps.
2) Never. Why should we?
3) You'll have to be more specific as to what that means exactly. We aren't involved with homestarrunner.com, so we can't take down someone else's website. And The Brothers Chaps are planning to give the site a HTML5 update, so they won't take it down.
4) Kids, creative burnout, side projects, etc. See HRWiki:Hiatuses for more details.
5) Their email address used to be brotherschaps@homestarrunner.com, but it was removed from the site's Email page, so it seems @StrongBadActual is now their primary contact method.
Hope this helps! Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 22:33, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

Look, I'm not sure what your issues are, but the simple truth is that the best thing for you to do is behave like someone who has never even heard the name "Maudi Algabban" (we are not fooled, we know who you are) and has literally zero curiosity about the name or the user's history, while also showing no particular interest toward all the things you show far too much interest over (such as the Pyongyang reference, the hiatuses, and the possibility of homestarrunner.com being taken down) and never, ever, even for a moment, even consider writing loud yelling, swearing posts demanding people unblock you and give you answers to questions we have no way of answering. Also, make constructive Wiki edits (that means not vandalism, with or without scare quotes), not just Talk page chatter. Basically, you need to start over completely and pretend you are not and were never you and do not care about you - and that doesn't mean to insult yourself, it means do not mention yourself. You've built up far too much bad karma, so it's very likely that even the slightest hint that you are you will be treated with immediate suspicion, and likely result in further blocks. And if you think this is unreasonable, perhaps what you really need to do is to find a way to end your obsession with this Wiki. You've been pulling these bizarre stunts for literal years. --Jay o'Lantern (Haunt) 23:50, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
I must tell you all that I'm NOTHING but a stranger, but if you would like to send some ANGRY emails to him, his email address is -redacted- . Maudi MUST be punished and he's WAY the worst contributor on Homestar Runner Wiki! LET'S GET HIM!!!! --83.185.35.154 23:57, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
