Lack of updates

For anybody wondering why there have been no updates for a while: The bottom line is, we don't know. There is a thread on the forums where people are calmly and rationally discussing the possibilities. Here is the link. Any further discussion on Wiki Talk pages may be removed. Thank you for your patience. —BazookaJoe 17:02, 20 June 2006 (UTC)

Wiki title

I think we should move this page to Homestar Runner Wiki (click the link to see what it could look like). That way, it will show the actual title of the wiki instead of boring ol' "Main Page" (which of course would be left as a redirect). The MediaWiki front page is an excellent example of how it could be. — It's dot com 01:24, 23 June 2006 (UTC)

I really like the idea. It shows exactly who we are upon entering. If I was in charge, I'd've done it from th' start. --DorianGray
I also support the idea, maybe we should make Main Page a dis. page, though, for Main Pages and Homestar Runner Wiki. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 01:30, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Support. —FireBird|Talk 01:33, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Rogue Leader: Main Page and Talk:Main Page would have to redirect to the respective Homestar Runner Wiki pages, due to the amount of links to them, both internal and external. — It's dot com 01:34, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Complete Support: The Main Page talks about The Homestar Runner Wiki not Main Page --Dacheatbot · Communicate 01:44, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
It's dot com: That can be accomplished simply by changing the text of MediaWiki:Mainpage from "Main Page" to "Homestar Runner Wiki". — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 01:56, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Heh. Yes, I know. :) I wanted people to be able to see a preview without being too drastic. — It's dot com 02:06, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
I like your idea, Dot com. I'm surprised nobody ever thought of this before. — Seriously (Talk) 02:08, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
I support leaving it Main Page. Most to all MediaWiki wikis (257,000,000 at this moment) leave the title as the default. This page is the sole exception to the "articles are in the main namespace" rule, and giving it a different title would make it seem as if this was an article about the Homestar Runner Wiki (remember, we already have an article for that at HRWiki:A History). This is the main page of the wiki, it's our cover page and our table of contents. It's not the Homestar Runner Wiki. The entire wiki is the Homestar Runner Wiki. (I also never liked it when our main page was called HomestarRunnerWiki way back when.) -- Tom 02:14, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
Most to all wikis use Main Page because they either don't know they can change it or don't have the access. I myself didn't know until I saw MediaWiki. If we're going to have one exception in the main namespace, shouldn't it be such that the title of the wiki can be on the front page? — It's dot com 02:23, 23 June 2006 (UTC)
