I didn't want to make the page in fear of doing it differently than the template, but I saw that they had put up #22 on the site and thought I'd notify y'all about it. Crazy stuff, the whole thing's a flash file like the Virus email; a lot of extending past the boundaries of the screen.

Virus blows my mind

Sometimes I think that the virus theme was designed by TBC to watch us Wiki people scramble. "Oh yeah," says Matt "Catalogue this, chumps!" - Dr Haggis - Talk 11:36, 6 Dec 2004 (MST)

Fun Fact Discussion

*You can't get to this mainpage from anywhere

We should add a Fun Fact when a cartoon's back button leads to a mainpage, but there's no need to comment on a lack thereof. Such is to be expected, anyway, as Main Page 22 isn't even a day old... If you agree/disagree, share your reasoning. -- Suicune64 15:58, 6 Dec 2004 (EST)

*"Drop a train on 'em!" is what Strong Bad said when he ran Edgarware in virus.

Is this a reference or a fun fact...Or is it neither? Could we STUFF this one? Maybe it's just me that thinks this one is too obvious. Someone else's opinion, please? --The Paper 21:11, 6 Dec 2004 (MST)

Um, I don't mean to sound dumb, but I didn't remember that little fact. I say Keep. --Bellatrix 09:54, 7 Dec 2004 (MST)

*Unlike the previous main pages, you cannot access this main page from another one, because there is no button for it. You must type the address into the address bar to see it.

this is false. The other main pages have a 22 button with an Edgar icon. -- Dr Haggis - Talk 20:21, 7 Dec 2004 (MST)

Any significance?

Does the order in which the computers appear while moving over Characters have any significance at all? --BegyLips 00:20, 7 Dec 2004 (EST)

What is this one all about?

If you look very closely, the store button has a little tiny bubble which is near invisible.

I zoomed in and I don't see it. Can anyone fill me in on just what this guy was talking about? --Jay 01:14, 7 Dec 2004 (MST)

Coach Z?

Is it just me, or does Coach Z say something when the sandwich appears? -- Mithent 17:08, 8 Dec 2004 (MST)

You're on to something there - I hear a voice reminiscent of Coach Z, too, but it is likely just the same 'diner speak' sound you hear on Main Page #5 when you mouse over the 'email' button and the exact same sandwich tray appears then, too. --The Paper 20:49, 8 Dec 2004 (MST)
Aah, you're right about that. It sounds rather like Coach Z, nevertheless. -- Mithent 17:05, 9 Dec 2004 (MST)

Biscuit Dough Hands Man

How do we know that it's the Biscuit Dough Hands Man saying 'fhqwhgads'? It's probably just the Visor Robot saying it, as Biscuit Dough Hands Man's mouth doesn't move. -User:69.229.230.43

Quote of the Week

I clicked on quote of the week, and immideatley clicked and held the minimize button so that I could see the Homestar quote. It said "Oh Haldo! This is my funniest word style ever times that I've ever said! Hope is all on to it lately! And I wish the chicken and msg place was open on somedays." But the wiki page said something else. Can someone check? Mabye it's just my computer. -Alice

You're right. I've got a screenshot of it now, and it says, "Oh Haldo! This is my funniest word style ever times that I've said! Hope all is on to it even more lately! And I wish the chicken & msg place was open on Somedays." Aurora the Homestar Coder 17:43, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
I opened qod.swf in the flash decompiler, and it most certainly says "Oh Hello! This is my funniest word style ever that I said! Hope you're into it!" --phlip 22:18, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
Well, I took a screenshot of the moment when the QOD box appears on Main Page 22 (before the current quote appears), and I got the above quote. I don't have access to it right now, but I can post it up later. Aurora the Homestar Coder 22:21, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
OK, you're right, I saw it with the hold-minimise-button trick too, and got a screenshot. Weird, I can't find that text anywhere in the .swf's...
Incidentally, if you open the swfs for one of the other main pages and look outside the wall it says the same thing. --phlip 22:32, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
Aha! I redownloaded the latest qod.swf and looked at that, it says the same as the screenshot. I was looking at an old version, about 3 weeks old, when I downloaded the whole site to take home when I went on vacation. So the message has changed in the last 3 weeks. Is this too trivial even for Trivia? I know we catalogue other changes... --phlip 22:35, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
I was wondering if that might be the case, because there's a screenshot of the old message too. Maybe the Chaps are just trying to mess with us... :) Aurora the Homestar Coder 22:36, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
The HTTP headers for qod.swf say "Date: Thu, 21 Apr 2005 21:09:24 GMT" - that's probably when it was changed - the date seems to fit in with what we know.
Gee this has become indented entirely too far... --phlip 23:59, 1 May 2005 (UTC)
Except for the times when they say the 18th instead... And the Last-Modified header says the 15th... --phlip 04:05, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
Well though the Date header says the 18th or the 21st, the Last-Modified header always seems to say the 15th, so I'll put that in the article and be done with it.
Hopefully my last horribly indented message, phlip 04:40, 2 May 2005 (UTC)
Look, I'm technologically challenged. Alls I know is, that's what came up on my computer when I used the minimize trick. I don't even know what an swf is!-Alice
