Can I just gripe about something? In 'Real World References', it's noted that Homestar's blurred sure may "possibly" reference the blurring of logos on TV shows - something that might not even be a reference is allowed. Yet, something as blatantly obvious as "Bub Rub" is immediately thrown out as being 'unlikely'?

::Wiki faults and failures aside, how do you propose we fix your stated fun fact issue? Perhaps we could have a debate about this right here. It's not you vs. the wiki; you are the wiki. :::I like how you're completely assaulting everyone's opinions. I'll have you know I agreed with the whole anti-Bub Rub thing. I can see how that whole shirt-blurring thing seems a bit unlikely when put into context, but facts on the Wiki are often phrased as being "possible" as long as they're at least pretty likely to be true. I don't see what you're bellyachin' about. 04:14, 6 August 2007 (UTC)

When I watch this with the Main Page Glitch on, I find that all the lip syncs are off, not just in the Games effect. It is certainly more obvious in the Games one, but if you look carefully, it applies to all of them. Maybe its just my computer being slow, but I doubt it since the same thing happened on my uber-top-of-the-line gaming rig. Dementedc 20:57, 17 October 2007 (UTC)

Umm, first of all, that is a "currently" fact, secondly it's a glitch with the flash version and not with the page itself... i had the same issue until flash player 9 for linux came out... i tried to remove it but got reverted. does anyone think it actually belongs on the page? 15:09, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

:If it's just due to Flash version, I think that excessively lengthy note should either be deleted or replaced with a simple "This page does not work properly on Flash v7 and older." Something like. 16:02, 15 November 2007 (UTC)

The copyright date on this page somehow still reads "2007". How can that happen? Does that mean that TBC use a different Flash file for the list of different main pages on Main Page 24? 21:48, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

:A quick decompile shows that, indeed, Main Page 24 has its own homepages file, located here. It also has its own news button, for some reason (probably so it can be blurred). They must've forgotten to update it (but remembered to get main23's?). --DorianGray 22:15, 12 April 2008 (UTC)

Okay, while I was on my PSP, I tried to access this main page, yes, the screen remained tint, and, yes, details were missing, but as I scrolled just around Homestars neck, my cursor showed to be clickable. I clicked on it, the screen turned to normal brightness and the button effects worked. Although, Strong Bad was still legless, and the logos on HS's shirt wouldn't appear, the links still don't work, but it was fully functional. Has anyone came across that?. 16:44, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
+
-
:Yeah, that'll happen. Most non-computer devices run Flash Lite. Version 2 %mdash; the most common one — is equivalent to Flash 7. Although TBC do their animation in Flash 5, they publish their stuff in later versions to take advantage of better compression. They had been using version 7 for that but they upgraded to 8 sometime around the tenth anniversary toon. Nearly everything since then has had some weird problem or other with Flash Lite devices. The notable exception being Wii, which Opera upgraded to Flash Lite 3, which is equivalent to Flash 8, early last Fall. 17:50, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

::That glitch acted halfway between his scenerio, and the scenerio on the remarks section. I purposly installed flash v6 on my laptop, and I could only click a small box sorta surrounding where the "Store" button is, and that was an upgrade link. When I used ALT to select the buttons, it worked, but only the Email and Downloads played the sequence. Strong bad WAS legless. Characters changed the shirt color, but still no picture. When I pressed the small box in front of Homestar's chest, the fade went away, and the buttons were mouse-usable, but still only the same anamations as before. ::UGoBoom's COMPLETE GUESS:

::All of this may be due to Flash 6 and lower's incompatibility to "blur"ing effects, since it rendered the blur as a grey overlay. The blur had to work with the news and Main Menu selection components, and the incompatibility took those out of the picture. On Main Page 25, the background did not appear, and the new buttons acted the same way as 24's: No text. So that would explain the letter loss on 24. The fact that others along with Loss of Strong Bad's legs is unknown by me. UGoBoom 02:08, 19 April 2010 (UTC)
