Is That Costume Store Ever In Stock?!?!?

The costume of the character who I have to assume is Strong Bad looks surprisingly complex, ecspecially compared to those of the other characters. Point is, I'm pretty sure that this is a reference to Jibblies 2 Teaser. Anyone else agree?-- DongleGoblin 05:52, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

I definitely agree. By looking, his costume appears to be that of the Predator, which further echoes his non-costume of the Alien last year. --DorianGray 05:54, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Who wants to hazard a guess that once again his Easter egg at toon's end will again mention that Hammakers Slammakers will be sold out of this costume as well, and he'll be someone else? MHarrington 06:07, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Oh, I wouldn't go that far. I hope the Chaps have more integrity to run the same joke twice... --DorianGray 06:11, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
To me it looks like Predator. HomsarGuy 12:05, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Don't they re-use jokes very oftenlike?--Flytape8490 13:41, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
This reminds me of when i was on Telltale forums (before this was released) people were posting what they would like the costumes :::::to be and 1 person said they'd like Strong Bad to be Predator. HomsarGuy 20:45, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
The only one i can reconize is that Homsar looks like Captian Caveman, but you may be right about the Strong Bad = Predator thing. H.R. Hurricanesnstuf
Alright, this is getting dangerously close to forum-talk. If you want to discuss the possiblities for costumes, you should probably move it there.-- DongleGoblin 00:12, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
But the forum has been down for, like, ever!!! When 'dat thang gonna get back up?!20X6 GEM 01:13, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
This is not the place for that question. This is not the place for speculation about the costumes. This is not the place to have wild drunken parties until 3 in the morning. In short, we know the forum is down, but this is still not the place for those things. — Defender1031*Talk 01:15, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Well, where can we put the ideas down, then, if not here? MHarrington 02:09, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
That is not the wiki's concern. — Defender1031*Talk 02:10, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
We can go over to Telltale's Strong Bad forum, but I personally don't feel like registering another account. BBG 02:48, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
Okay, but please don't hold this conversation here. DevonM(talk·cont-ribs) 02:53, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Easter egg

Can something that is only viewable after the flash is decompiled really considered an easter egg? Even if it is left intentionally for the user to find, I think there should be a general definition of 'egg' that takes into account means of access. Not everyone can decompile the flash. Instead, maybe place something like this in trivia?--Flytape8490 13:39, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

It's still an easter egg, something hidden for us to find. I think they mentioned in an interview of commentary somewhere that they started adding decompiler eggs because the regular type were too easy to find. — Defender1031*Talk 18:29, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
The very first easter egg was designed to be impossible to find. It involved picking up a grey dot in a grey wall and taking it to the other side of the game map. An easter egg is more of an easter egg if it's near impossible to normally find. Kroc Camen.

lol, yes, Adventure, a great game. But to be honest, I really dont view these decompiler things as Easter Eggs... And Adventure didnt have the firs easter egg

Then what praytell, had the first egg? In the electronic field, that is. I vote for it staying an egg. Pointy King 01:19, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
A little background: The first Homestar Runner Easter egg was sending Strong Sad an email and then back a link to Strong Sad's Lament. That's in no way a "clicking" Easter egg and yet there's no argument it's and egg. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 04:48, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
I still think it shouldn't be an egg. But strongsad's lament? That's totally an egg. It's buried inside another egg, but it's still an egg.--Flytape8490 17:10, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
We've been pretty consistently putting the meaningful behind-the-black stuff (the hidden objects, not the lack thereof) as "Easter eggs" for quite a while now. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 17:16, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
In addition, our page about Easter eggs states:
Occasionally, Easter eggs are hidden in a way that cannot be revealed directly, and can only be seen if the Flash file is opened in a decompiler. At Georgia Tech, Matt Chapman explained that these were added because the normal Easter eggs were getting too easy to find.
In closing, egg the ever-loving crap out of 'em. — Defender1031*Talk 17:20, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Anyone know where you can get a good free decompiler?--71.60.212.62 03:47, 2 January 2009 (UTC)

Costume Guesses

Should there be a costume guess in the article? I think so-- Not_an_S

I agree. The whole point of this teaser is to create speculation. And this is the best place to put all of the speculation. Where else would it go? Unless there is some way to create a section in the wiki format called "Speculation" or "Explaining the Jokes" which i don't think they'll ever do, this is the only place left for speculation about what the costumes will be. The Knights Who Say Ni 19:27, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
NO. The Wiki is not a place for speculation, not even in a "toon" such as this. It will all be moot when the real toon is released in a few days anyway. We've mentioned multiple times that we do not want speculation of the costumes on this page, and we've been removing all speculation. Do not add it. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 19:29, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Jay, that's why this section of the talk page exists. It has been noticed that y'all have been removing all the speculation, so where do you suggest that we speculate about the toon? You've made it clear that you don't think this is the place, but what is? The Knights Who Say Ni 19:34, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
The forum would be the place for that, however, in its absence, i suggest you find somewhere else. It is not the wiki's job to provide a place for it. — Defender1031*Talk 19:37, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Like where? MHarrington 21:30, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
I dunno, someplace. — Defender1031*Talk 21:33, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Speculation has already been done on the page with the identification of each character's silhouette, no? Even though "Strong Bad's" silhouette is clearly contradictory to his normal shape and size, assuming is still being done that it's him. One could argue that's speculation? Just my two cents. --99.161.128.249 22:56, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
Actually, you're right. A glance through the history of the last teaser had us marking that the person in the Xenomorph costume was only presumably Strong Bad. Whatever the case, though, we'll know in a few days. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 23:04, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

New Page

Should there be a page dedicated to the Teasers? Since there's been one last year and this year it seemed like we should, or should we wait till next year to see if they do it again?--Shaggy | talk 21:25, 27 October 2008 (UTC)

No, it's really not all that notable unless it's done over and over at least three times. That's kind of our policy. MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 21:26, 27 October 2008 (UTC)
How bout a section on the ween teplate? Dr. Savage 00:37, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

Homestar And The King Of Town

Are the (slight differences) in their silhouettes noticeable? Homestar doesn't have his guitar and The King Of Town's bow is on the other side of his head. -WarthogDemon 17:12, 31 October 2008 (UTC)
