borrowed from Marathon?

In the Marathon trilogy (by Bungie) nebulons are disscussed, but never seen. However, in the last area, which has comments from the programmers it says "Seems nobody likes the Nebulons" and TBC has a history for obsure references.

Nebulus

Hi, I don't usually contribute to Wikis so not sure if I did it correctly. However I *am* sure, looking at the pic, that 20X6 Nebulon is based on the little green dude from Nebulus (one of my fave video games ever). This could also have been part of the inspiration for Nebulon's name, though I'm inclined to think the character design was more inspired by the aliens from the Simpsons.
