I love what was done with this page. It's really been brought up to par with Holiday Toons, what with having the minor Powered by The Cheat refferances added too. Now all that's needed is upgrading Puppet Stuff the same way... ⇔Thunderbird⇔ 04:05, 4 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Mysteriousness
I dare you to answer this without saying "Mike Chapman":
If The Cheat can't speak English, who does the voices for his cartoons?

Synthetic voices, programmed by iVideo (or a similar program for flash) or a program from the internet,(since we think Tangerine and the more recent unnamed as Macs) that allows the creation of one word at a time dubbed over an animation (which would explain some of the pauses taken by characters when no real pause is needed, listen on some of the PBTC toons to see which ones have it (I can't remember exactly, but mile comes to mind)), while The Cheat talks for himself with a mic that is standard on most Macs. It would allow for similar, but not exact, replicas of his friends/neighbors voices when they are not there to speak for themselves (except Strong Bad). I'm sure that somewhere a program like that exists/existed if it wasn't part of iVideo (or a similar program for flash). Now I've never used a Mac, so I'm hoping what I say is even possible. - I think The Cheat is using a synthesized voice program of some sort because at the beginning of Rap Song Coach Z asks PCP if he can "record" on his new album, stressing the first syllable and pronouncing it "reck-erd" implying that The Cheat typed in the word "record" and the computer interpreted it wrong. Poor Imitations of voices

Bad Guy
Are you sure that the visuals in Strong Bad is a Bad Guy are PBTC-style?
- I wouldn't think so, as the voices are actually Strong Bad, Homestar and the rest. - Almo

- I think Strong Bad is a Bad Guy is not PBTC-style. All the characters look normal and their voices are normal. It's just that Flash is easier to work with than Mario Paint so they look a bit crummy and have limited animation. – The Chort 18:44, 30 December 2005 (UTC)
Alternate theory
Most people think that these cartoons are a parody of other bad flash cartoons, but what if there's another explanation? When a real-life person makes a flash cartoon, that catoon natually looks much more primitive that reality. Therefore, if a flash-person (i.e. The Cheat) makes a flash cartoon, it follows that his creation will look much more primitive than his flash-reality. What do you think?

- An interesting question. A cartoon does indeed compress real life into a few minutes of entertainment, thereby losing a lot of detail and fleshing-out. It could be assumed that a cartoon character's cartoon would suffer an equivalent loss of content, perhaps to the extent that the plot would be unintelligible. Think about it. - Qermaq - (T/C)

Hey, didn't The Cheat recently upgrade to an iMac G5 flat-panel? Does he still do "Powered by The Cheat" toons with that thing?

toonnav
How come we don't use {{toonnav}} on pbtc toons? Every other toon category that has it's own button on the remote control seems to use it.

- I'm going to be bold and do it. I noticed that mile is both a Powered by the Cheat toon and also happens to be a sbemail. For that one, I placed the PbTC {{toonnav}} at the start of the actual PbTC portion of the email, and added a redirect to the anchor to avoid the # notation in the previous and next PbTC.

If The Cheat's animating is mentioned in a cartoon, but not actually seen, should it be on the page? And if so, where?
