Since the main article was tagged with possibly needing a new commando name, I suggest Email Intros Reused. Because that's what the article covers, Strong Bad singing an intro and the intro coming up again in the same email later. — Ngamer01 16:15, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

Well, I was the one who made this link, and I didnt realize the link would be the title (cut me some slack, Im new here). I agree the Related to the Email isnt a very good title, and I think Ngamer01s idea is good. I also suggest Intros Used Later On. BanditoDorito

This is a frusterating article as, despite my best efforts, I have yet to come up with a decent name, nor do I think those suggested describe the article particularly well. The most literal name would be "Email Intros Referenced Within The Email, but that's a bit excessive.--Jellote wuz here 04:08, 3 December 2011 (UTC)

Given that the current title was made such by mistake, and has remained so for almost a decade, I think it's time we decided a title. I still support "Relevant Email Intros". Any opposed? Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 19:46, 7 September 2020 (UTC)

Possibly, but "Email Intros That Are Relevant to the Email" is too long. I feel like "Relevant Email Intros" is pretty self-explanatory. No one will read that title and think "oh yeah, relevant to yogurt". Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 03:30, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

So I'm not 100% sure "Relevant" is the right word for the rename (but it's very close!). Said title seems to say "These intros are relevant to something" but it's not fully clear what they're relevant to? Is it the rest of the email, or a certain portion? (Perhaps the article should also make that more explicit.) The article intro also says that the intro is either "mentioned or reused" later in the email. But "Reused Email Intros" doesn't seem to be as all-encompassing.

Perhaps it might be better to solidify the article first and then think of a most appropriate name? Here's an example of what I mean:

• Email japanese cartoon — The email begins with a haiku, a form of Japanese poetry.

The above line talks about the intro haiku, but it doesn't say how it's relevant: is there another haiku later in the email? (there isn't afaik) Is it because the entire article is about Japanese popular culture? (yes.) I looked at a couple more and they seemed more specific (the action figure fact could perhaps list the specific instances of reuse). If we address little things like that maybe it can become clear what the most relevant article name is! ;) --Stux 10:42, 7 April 2021 (UTC)

I edited the page to explain the relevance of each intro. If not "Relevant Email Intros", what about "Intros Relevant to the Email"? Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 19:01, 13 April 2021 (UTC)

I like "Intros Relevant to the Email". I read the entire article carefully after your cleanup to try to get a sense for the theme of the article and that title seems to more closely align with the theme: an intro is sung and it turns out that the intro is somehow thematic with respect to the rest of the email (instead of just being a random jingle). There are some exceptions where the theme is reused or relevant to media that are not the emails themselves, but perhaps these could be grouped into a separate section? Not sure if these are close enough to count, so I'll jot them down here in case.

• from work - The intro song is about checking an email quietly, which Strong Bad does because he is at work.
• what i want - The email is about Decemberween gifts, and the intro song is the intro of Jingle Bells as played by Keyboard Strong Bad.
• retirement a and b - The songs point out obvious technical flaws in Strong Bad's old computers, which he must work around to check his email both times.
• modeling - Strong Bad denies that the audience can handle his style, and then proceeds to show off his style by modeling.
• different town - The email features a song by They Might Be Giants, and the intro song references one of their other songs.
• the bet - Taken verbatim from the wiki page: "The humor in the phrase 'Big money, big money' lies in the fact that this phrase is often used in casinos or game shows, and the email is about a bet."
• 2 emails - Strong Bad claims that email brings "a world of hurt". Both emails result in disappointment. The first sender asks for 2 emails, and Strong Bad delivers - but counts that email as one of them, effectively nullifying the request. At the end of the toon, Strong Bad and his guests are all disappointed due to an absence of "the ladies".
