Wherfore art thou Cory?

Oughtn't Cory to be a Running Gag? A cursory search turns up:

Ok. let's review: 12:00 and cheat talk: It's the sender's name, already listed on Strong Bad Email By Name of Sender.
Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 11.2: Legit sightning.
That A Ghost:Another legit sightning.
Main Page 22: An Inside References to That A ghost. Not legit.
So actualy we have just two legit sightnings of the smae name. Not a running joke. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:24, 7 November 2005 (UTC)
And another think to different it from Jerome, is that it have no character interaction. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:25, 7 November 2005 (UTC)

Diapers

I think diapers should be a running gag or an Inside Reference. A search shows that diapers (especially diaper school) is on H*R eight times. SaltyTalk! 03:34, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

I don't even want to know why you were searching that. ;) But it sounds like a doable page... Let's see what others think. --DorianGray
Is there more than diaper school and Reynold's "diaper biscuits"? Those alone probably wouldn't convince me, but if there's more, it might. Heimstern Läufer 07:22, 20 December 2005 (UTC)
  • In i rule, he claims to have owned Strongbadia since diaper school.
  • The page title of Teen Girl Squad Issue 7 is "Diaper school grads!"
  • In the Homestar Quiz, if you get 7 answers correct, Strong Bad says "Sweetheart, wake up! It's time for diaper school...."
  • In the Homestar Quiz, if you get 3 or 4 answers right, he says "...I know kids in diaper school that are smarter than you, man!"
  • Strong Sad wears a diaper in A Decemberween Pageant.
  • In secret recipies, Homestar wants to make "Stupid Uncle Egg's Goodtime Diaper Pie".
  • Lil' Strong Bad had the record for the "Dirtiest Diapey" and wore a diaper in record book.
  • In a TrogdorCon '97 Easter Egg, Strong Bad says "Man if I see another person in a diaper..."
  • In Commandos in the Classroom, Reynold tried to swear and says "Diaper biscuits".
  • In a colonization Easter Egg, Homestar says diapers will no longer be valid as legal tender.
  • In Peasant's Quest, you can get the Baby Lady to say something about her baby's diapers if you ask about smell.
  • In Halloween Potion-ma-jig, if you chose to sing a song to Bubs, the lyrics will be something about diapers.

That's 11/12 legit diaper articles. SaltyTalk! 18:11, 21 December 2005 (UTC)

Hmm, that does seem legit to me. Anybody else agree? Heimstern Läufer 18:23, 21 December 2005 (UTC)
It's been made. And for quite a while now. — talk Bubsty edits 23:32, 10 January 2006 (UTC)
Yes, Bubsty, that's right. The Diapers article was created on 21 December 2005 because of this discussion. -- Tom 02:41, 11 January 2006 (UTC)
Hmm... I wonder who made it... Has Matt? (talk) 03:56, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
I hate to make this an issue, Bubsty, but this is a good example of the problem with replying to discussions that have passed their expiration date. You thought you were pointing out that this discussion was way after-the-fact, thinking the page had been around for several months before the discussion. In fact, it was the other way 'round; the page was created after the discussion—as a result of it—and the only thing on this page that postdated the creation of Diapers was your edit. So rather than pointing out the untimeliness of others' discussion, you in fact created it. —AbdiViklas 04:50, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
I was just pointing out to users/IPs who read this page that it has been made and there was no need to reply... went the other way around I see. — talk Bubsty edits 05:13, 13 January 2006 (UTC)
That makes more sense. I apologize for a mini-lecture! Future visitors: consider yourselves notified. —AbdiViklas 05:57, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Style

I find it hard to believe that there's no mention that the word "style" is often used. I know there's more, but a quick few instances I can think of off the top of my head are Price Style, Sample of Style, Styles upon Styles, "Strong Bad gots the Style", "stylish jig", "you can't handle my style, no you can't handle my style", "Get out of here, Nebulon! No one likes your style", Uncle Strong Bad's Flavor Taste Style Chewing Powders, "The Cheat that it's the latest style!", Strong Bad's Buffalo Style Ranch, Hairstyle Runner... Gus 22:09, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Gus, if you find that you think this page should be created, why don't you come on the IRC channel and get some feedback. If it sounds like a good page to other users, you can go and create it yourself. — Lapper (talk) 22:24, 31 January 2006 (UTC)

Crush on Marzipan?

My friend thinks that The Cheat has a crush on Marzipan and that that should be a running gag. Do you think that that is true? One example of this is in do over easter egg and there are many others throughout the strong bad emails.Sbdisciples 21:34, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

In do over we get to see The Cheat totally smothered in kisses. Either Marzipan is so stupid to think he was Homestar, or she's into a more open relationship that our family-friendly format would allow us to describe. Either way, some things are better left unsaid, perhaps. (No vote here, just observations.) Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 02:30, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Strong Bad's hair

In Gimmicks, Strong Bad combs back what looks like hair coming out of a burnt hole in his mask. In the email Marzipan Strong Bad quickly combs the top of his wrestling mask with a small pink comb. Perhaps A lesser gimmick currently of Homestarrunner is the fact that Strong Bad actually has hair beneath his mask. Should there be a page for this? Sbdisciples 04:57, 8 April 2006 (UTC)
