Um, so I know this is splitting hairs, but isn't the patch on the back left cushion?  If the couch was a pirate, the patch would be on the pirate's left eye.  Arrrgghhh! [[User:Dutchscout|Dutchscout]] 23:01, 1 May 2010 (UTC)

Ding! The Couch is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

What would you say counts as a "notable appearance" of the couch? --Garfunkel 17:00, 3 May 2006 (UTC)

A notable appearance is informally defined not as the couch being visible, but as the couch itself being a main topic of conversation or action. — Lapper (talk) 17:42, 3 May 2006 (UTC)
It seems like most of the given appearances aren't notable at all. I would think couch patch, morning routine (eggs in the couch), Rotten Eggs (eggs in the couch again), replacement (Strong Sad's on the couch, watching TV!), and maybe one or two others are notable, but that's it. I don't see, for instance, more armies having anything notable going on.

[edit] Love Seat

The Couch looks like a love seat to me, I mean just look at it! Two cushions, two backrests, and no more than three people have been seen sitting on it!

--Z max1 20:08, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

Even so, it is still referred to as a couch, not a love seat. --DorianGray 20:30, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

[edit] Marzipan's Couch

Do we have an article on Marzipan's Couch? If not, would it make a reasonable article? The Knights Who Say Ni 20:58, 26 April 2010 (UTC)

I thought about replying to this by simply putting double brackets around the title, but then i clicked "show preview" and was very surprised. I'd be all for a page that i already thought existed, sure. — Defender1031*Talk 21:02, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
Has anything notable ever happened to Marzi's couch like this one, though? --DorianGray 21:04, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
DF: Of course, I already tried that, but then i remembered how often i've seen ppl create articles with a similar name to a page that already existed, like this one. Are there any other titles it would be under? The Knights Who Say Ni 21:08, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
Wow, I thought "maybe it's a header under Marzipan's Living Room" and then I clicked the link. — Defender1031*Talk 21:12, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
DG: off the top of my head, i can think of two, in Cool Things when Homestar points out that "Sitting on the couch is zero amount of fun when there's not a TV or hang glider in front of it." and also in the remake of Where My Hat Is At? when Homestar picks the couch up, causing Marzipan to fly off of it. Not sure if the first mentioned instance is as notable as the second one though The Knights Who Say Ni 21:17, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
DF: i also thought to look at Marzipan's House. would that mean that that page is sufficient enough to cover it? The Knights Who Say Ni 21:17, 26 April 2010 (UTC)
