*Anyone want to take a guess at what the children backup singers are singing?  It's certainly not "Zee S is for sucks".  Sounds like random babbling. Danny Lilithborne 18:52, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

:::Agreed, similar to the way the Chipmunks voices were sped up originally. Also, I'd like to point out that the "kids" resemble the chipmunks somewhat, down to Alvin's "A" on his hat, Simon's glasses... I dunno if Theodore used to sport a cowboy hat in the original cartoon or not. Maybe it's just a coincidence.  -- Cheesius 23:22, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

::What I really want to know is why there's an apostrophe at the end of "constabulate V's". Doesn't this mean "that which belongs to the constabulate V" or "constabulate V is"? Shouldn't it read "constabulate Vs" instead? Is this a goof? 19:32, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Honestly, I don't think the two are things are at all related.  I think it was:Troggie got angry, yelled at Strong Bad, SB apologizes, (scene), and then TBC just threw in the song for the hell of it, like they did in Dragon.  Whoever the dragon outside is, they're not asking/demanding a song.-- 18:11, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Slightly unrelated, if that is Trogdor outside, then we might be able to get a scale size for Trogdor to Strong Bad. If my guess is accurate, Trogdor is just about as big as Bubsgonzola Supreme. --71.121.150.75 06:04, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

:No it isn't. It's just a vaguely similar sentence. I re-use lines all the time, but I don't always "reference" something I said in the past. I don't think it's a reference, a running gag, or anything else; it's just TBC's way of talking. We don't need to remark on how *everything* said is a "reference" to something said in the past just because it's *kinda* similar. Honestly, we're really reaching these days, trying to pad the Inside Refs and Real World Refs sections needlessly... - 20:42, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

::Heimstern Läufer, see my comment downthread (the one that starts with "Yes").  I'm not a regular contributor to this wiki (I don't even have an account), so I have no vested interest in padding the Inside Refs section.  What I'm saying is that when I heard the line, I knew it reminded me of something in another toon, I couldn't remember what it was, and I was curious.  Where am I going to find this out if not on HRWiki?  Please, think of the casual users -- don't focus so much the conceptual and structural purity of the project that you lose sight of them. 24.90.102.55

::Addendum: I don't think re-used lines make for very good "references", simply because unless the wording is *very* unique and specific to one source, there just isn't any especially good reason to believe it's referring directly to one specific usage of it. TBC *are* known for frequently alluding to older toons, but words are just words. - 20:46, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

:::Whether or not it's a "reference," the first thing I thought when I heard it was "oh, that's a weird phrasing that Strong Bad's used before, but I can't remember where."  It would be nice to be able to go to the Wiki page for the toon and find out what I was half-remembering, because there's no other way for me to find out without watching everything on the site over again.  (It's not like you can Google "I'm [adjective] Strong Bad."

I so want an MP3 of the song -_- there is another one I wanted as well, but now I can't remember it. I hope someone makes one for this. I can't record from the "What you hear" as many people are able to do with Audacity or something. This is due to me having SigmaTel Audio (I also don't have its control panel.) --205.213.122.19 15:12, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

It will probably be included in QOTW one day, which I *think* can be downloaded - I only hope for your sake that the brothers don't pull the same stunt they did with "Smart Drinks" and make it almost completly different. MJN SEIFER 16:12, 18 January 2008 (UTC)

Okay, I just what everyone else thinks about two possibly new running gags on the site:

-
1.Aside from the Bad Graphics Ghost, which is a stand alone character, have ther been enough appearances of ghosts to be included as a running gag?

-
2.Could characters appearing/acting in front of sheets of paper be considered a running gag?

Is it just me, or does this song have more than a passing resemblance to They Might Be Giants' E Eats Everything? It seems to follow a similar structure and meter for the verses at least. What do you think? Also, I have an account, but it's old and out of date and it's a name I don't use anymore (SonicFan). --72.226.234.136 13:03, 11 February 2008 (UTC)

I'm almost completely sure that when the toon was first released that Coach Z said in the Easter Egg: "Can I say that out loud?" rather than "Did I just say that out loud?" Looking back into the page history, early versions of this page seem to back this up. Does anyone remember this? Is it worth a mention in the article? 16:08, 2 March 2008

The book Strong Bad is reading (Words I'm About to Say) seems similar to "Words I Probably Said". Despite this, it is neither a fun fact or a discussion topic. I'll add this unless someone opposes in three days. If someone agrees, I'll add it imediately. --Jellote wuz here 18:43, 17 July 2009 (UTC)
