Honestly, I don't think the two are things are at all related.  I think it was:Troggie got angry, yelled at Strong Bad, SB apologizes, (scene), and then TBC just threw in the song for the hell of it, like they did in [[Dragon]].  [[Trogdor|Whoever the dragon outside is]], they're not asking/demanding a song.--{{User:DongleGoblin/sig}} 18:11, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Children singing

  • Anyone want to take a guess at what the children backup singers are singing? It's certainly not "Zee S is for sucks". Sounds like random babbling. Danny Lilithborne 18:52, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
I don't think they're following every word of the song exactly, but I do think they're singing "The S is for Sucks". --Jay o'Lantern (Haunt) 19:33, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

You know those are the Chaps' kids singing back there. We'll probably never get that confirmed, though. — 216.139.144.66 (Talk | contribs) 14:46, 15 January 2008 (UTC) (left unsigned)

No. They're like not even 2 and 1 years old. Seems like they are using the same method(s) they used to make kids voices for Intro, Super NES, and for kids. —BazookaJoe 16:49, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
If you must know how they can make kids voices, I think they increase their voices' pitch until they get the right sound. --66.82.9.92 00:59, 16 January 2008 (UTC) (Charlie Jr., still having trouble logging back in)

Constabulate?

Where's Constabulate from (Constabulate V's)? 124.188.66.94 20:16, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Sounds like a corruption of "consummate Vs" from dragon. --DorianGray 20:41, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
That was my thinking. If the real Trogdor had "consummate V's" then the V's on this must have some other description. It's certainly not used in dragon, or anywhere else on the site, for that matter.

Note that the dragon is wearing a police constable's hat when that line is said. -ComputerBox 16:51, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Why the return

Can somebody explian why it the s is suck dragons back and the dragon is water type just you know

This is really good talk for the forum, why don't you look there? — Defender1031*Talk 00:21, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
that is possibly the worst sentence i've ever read. I hope that the person who wrote that is embarassed to be a human being and communicate that ineffectively. "why it the s"? "dragon is water type"? "just you know"? 20 words, innumerable mistakes and a completely unintelligible sentence -Jdhannan 15:15, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Coach Z's Arms

Hey, i just noticed that in the easter egg at the end of this toon, Coach Z's arms are animated differently than they have been previously. They seem to be drawn frame by frame, as opposed to being two symbols that are manipulated. Does this merit mention on the "Remarks" section? -Mason

Why not? Just don't make it too technical or people might get confused and delete it. MNGoldenEagle 05:05, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

The Dragon At The End Of The Video

Considering he sings the heavy metal song for the S is for Sucks Dragon, I think that the dragon at the end is the S is for Sucks Dragon, and not Trogdor. The trivia here is therefore wrong. What do you guys think? — 71.225.45.178 (Talk | contribs) 06:07, 15 January 2008 (left unsigned)

The jaw is all wrong for The S is for Sucks (note the nostril especially). Further, why would The S is for Sucks be annoyed with Strong Bad for ignoring Trogdor? --DorianGray 06:11, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Personally, I think it would make more sense if it were the S is for Sucks Dragon, yelling at Strong Bad that he wants his own heavy metal song and not a children's song (so as to be on equal footing with Trogdor), hence Strong Bad saying "Yes sir, right away sir!" followed by him singing a heavy metal song for S is for Sucks Dragon. But DorianGray is right, it is Trogdor's snout... not sure why Strong Bad says "Yes sir, right away sir!" followed by a heavy metal song for S is for Sucks dragon (and NOT Trogdor), but hey, logic has escaped the Homestar Runner universe before. MNGoldenEagle 06:22, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
The intent seems to have been to communicate that Trogdor was upset with Strong Bad not because he (Trogdor) was being ignored, but because Strong Bad said he (Strong Bad) liked the children's song better than Trogdor's heavy metal music. I guess Trogdor really likes metal and wanted to hear some! I agree that it was odd, but.. irridisregardless, it was definitely Trogdor at the window. OptimisticFool 06:37, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Why are you guys agreeing that it is Trogdor based on the nose, despite everything else. Can't it be that the dragon at the window is a realistic version of S is for Sucks Dragon? I mean, you have theory which is "The Snout is Trogdors, so it must be Trogdor despite all the evidence." compared to "The Snout is wrong, but the dragon must be S if for Sucks." Can't it be the latter? -— 71.225.45.178 (Talk | contribs) later, 15 January 2008 (left unsigned)
The snout is the evidence. If you update the S is for Sucks dragon to be realistic, it's no longer the S is for Sucks dragon (his entire existence is based on the fact that he doesn't look natural). Given that the snout fits exactly with Trogdor, and not at all with the S is for Sucks, I don't see how we can conclude that this is the S is for Sucks. Heimstern Läufer 07:08, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Furthermore, we did in fact see an updated (though still not realistic) version of the S is for Sucks: The one that appears during the heavy metal song. This version likewise looks nothing like the dragon at the window. Is it likely that TBC would make two different versions of the S is for Sucks, then make another that looks nothing like the other two and looks exactly like Trogdor? I think not. Heimstern Läufer 07:19, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

I'm [adjective] Strong Bad

Haven't we heard a sentence of this form before? I can't remember where it was, but it seems like it might be worth noting, since it's a pretty unusual way to introduce yourself. — 24.90.102.55 (Talk | contribs) 14:55, 15 January 2008 (UTC) (left unsigned)

yeah check out my edit in inside references Physicsguymonsterman (Talk | contribs) 15:43, 15 January 2008 (UTC) (left unsigned)

As Physicsguymonsterman put on the page, he does say "I'm regular Strong Bad" in unnatural. I don't know whether this can actually be called a reference, though; more like another instance of a running gag. Interestingly, Strong Bad has said, "Thank you for calling attractive Strong Bad" in Lappynapped!, which doesn't start with "I'm" .. but the "[adjective] Strong Bad" is there. OptimisticFool 16:55, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Well if it happens again we'll call it a gag but for two instances its a reference or inside jokePhysicsguymonsterman

Since this matter is clearly controversial, could we please discuss here rather than repeatedly reverting? I'm ambivalent, personally, but I let's not have any edit wars. Heimstern Läufer 20:12, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Its as much a reference as anything.Physicsguymonsterman

Well, that's not exactly a convincing argument. Heimstern Läufer 20:41, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
No it isn't. It's just a vaguely similar sentence. I re-use lines all the time, but I don't always "reference" something I said in the past. I don't think it's a reference, a running gag, or anything else; it's just TBC's way of talking. We don't need to remark on how *everything* said is a "reference" to something said in the past just because it's *kinda* similar. Honestly, we're really reaching these days, trying to pad the Inside Refs and Real World Refs sections needlessly... -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 20:42, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Addendum: I don't think re-used lines make for very good "references", simply because unless the wording is *very* unique and specific to one source, there just isn't any especially good reason to believe it's referring directly to one specific usage of it. TBC *are* known for frequently alluding to older toons, but words are just words. -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 20:46, 15 January 2008 (UTC)
Whether or not it's a "reference," the first thing I thought when I heard it was "oh, that's a weird phrasing that Strong Bad's used before, but I can't remember where." It would be nice to be able to go to the Wiki page for the toon and find out what I was half-remembering, because there's no other way for me to find out without watching everything on the site over again. (It's not like you can Google "I'm [adjective] Strong Bad."
All right. My beef with this kind of thing is that if there's no solid proof that it's a "reference" (and there very seldom *is*; as I said, words are words, and there're really only so many ways of saying certain things), then there's no reason to state in the fun facts so matter-of-factly that it *is* one. Also, "that's the first thing I thought of when I heard/saw that" is a weak argument; the first thing that popped into *my* head when Strong Bad said "Soma" a few SBEMails ago was the main character from the Castlevania "Sorrow" series, but in context, and considering it appears to be a common, multi-use word, there was no actual reason for me to believe that's what he was referring to, so it would have been foolish for me to attempt to note it. -YKHi. I'm Ayjo! 00:51, 16 January 2008 (UTC)

Then what do you propose? Tbc said in an interview that they do a ton of references (and that they use the wiki to do them. I think it is a reference. When i first saw the toon i thought wow i heard that before so i searched the wiki for Appostrophe flinger and said its from unnatural Its gotta be a reference

ABC Song

I so want an MP3 of the song -_- there is another one I wanted as well, but now I can't remember it. I hope someone makes one for this. I can't record from the "What you hear" as many people are able to do with Audacity or something. This is due to me having SigmaTel Audio (I also don't have its control panel.) --205.213.122.19 15:12, 16 January 2008 (UTC)
