How much of the game can we document here legally? Can we upload images of individual cards and tiles and stuff? The rulebook says "No part of this product may be reproduced without specific permission.", so does that include wiki-style documentation? Also, does that apply only to the rulebook, or to the entire game? I'd rather not have any visits from Litigation Jackson. 02:27, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

:I'm not a legal expert or anything, but I would say uploading images of every single card would probably be a step too far. Like, go ahead and transcribe the whole thing in text, I'm sure that's fine. The rulebook especially, having a duplicate of the rules' full text written out online would be helpful for a lot of people. But personally, I'd think that having a full picture of every card might be overstepping a bit, even if they were particularly low-quality (and if they were, why even bother?). Maybe just the artwork from each card would be okay to include, but basically I think someone should not be able to fully assemble a facsimilie of the game out of our wiki documentation, y'know? --DorianGray 02:40, 13 July 2019 (UTC)

Circling back for the Expando Deck... while the info for the base game is freely available and encouraged to be printed or re-hosted to Tabletop Simulator, I don't see such "open-source" treatment on the new deck. Sure, some of this is me not wanting to type up 40+ cards, but I'm also loath to "rip" these so soon after release, especially as some cards (like the Spells) are in their own deck and you could just play them by having the text. -- 00:47, 21 May 2022 (UTC)

:Every dragon has the same pattern on its reverse except one. Strong Mad’s DAGRON instead has Homsar’s “Toaster’s Choice” on the reverse side. :Correct, it doesn't have any bearing on the gameplay, nor does the burnination of knights during that event (it's not necessary to remove them to win). As far as I know the archer survives just to be annoying. Stupid Arch Deluxe. 13:23, 16 July 2019 (UTC)

::Since it has no effect on gameplay, the only reason I can think of is continuity. They want the board game to seem like it could really happen in the Trogdor universe. The knights are just random knights, so you can kill them off all you want, but the archers are the classic characters Mendelev and Dongolev, so they need to survive to be part of the next game. :Yeah, there isn't a high-quality image of the Red Knight that I'm aware of, but we could use a lower-quality one, or I could make one from the Blue Knight with some fancy editing. (If it's even necessary, since they're both nearly identical.) 00:06, 7 August 2019 (UTC)

[edit] Bonus Cards

I got the Beefy Wyrmwood board for the game, and with the board itself I got some really broken cards. The cards are shown here. I suspect that if I got these outlandish cards here, I can only assume other people got different cards than these. If you have them, let's talk about them and possibly categorize them as such in the respective Keeper and Item parts.

--AeroSnake 01:19, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

These are really interesting. I think they should be fully documented (including describing the “real” cards that have been “taped over”. -166.137.252.121 13:48, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

It's been a while since we brought up these bonus cards. Who has clean pictures of other bonuses if there are any? The four I posted can't be the only ones.--AeroSnake 02:34, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
I didn't buy the board game, but I'm going to assume that everyone who did received the same "bonus" cards. They appear just as mass produced and pre-planned as the rest; the difference is that the effects that these "bonus" cards create are more outlandish than "normal" play, either by design or due to lack of design, as the case may be. -- 68.37.43.131 04:34, 18 October 2019 (UTC)

[edit] Dang!

Why is't this putting the pictures side by side?! --AeroSnake 01:23, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

How big is your monitor? It could be that the pictures are too wide. It looks fine to me. The Knights Who Say Ni 02:41, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
Looks fine to me as well. I shrunk them because they took up so much space on this talk page, so maybe now you'll be able to see them side-by-side. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 23:25, 11 July 2019 (UTC)

[edit] About Spacing and Another Thing

Thanks, that was the issue. Also, was it okay for me to upload those two pictures to the project? I read the rules for imagery uploadery (SB's style of words?) but am not sure if it's allowed to upload images that aren't personal, for discussion purposes, though they're relevant. --AeroSnake 04:09, 11 July 2019 (UTC)
