:I seriously doubt it has anything to do with this.  All that's happening is that they put "ii" behind the V in Videlectrix to refer to the Wii.  Think "Vee-delectrix" rather than "Vid-electrix", for pronunciation anyway. {{User:KieferSkunk/sig}} 06:27, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

:Well, I totally didn't notice it until I read it here.  So the explanation helps some people.

It might also be worth noting that in Latin, "vi" (with only one i) (pronounced "Wii") means "power" or "force". Interesting tidbit? I think so. Unintentional? Probably very yes. -[[User:SonicFan|WhatIsThatThing]] 23:51, 13 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Menu

Is it just me, or is the menu modeled after the Wii Menu? --Color Printer 13:08, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

That could be very possible considering that Viidelectrix is designed specifically for the Wii. — Lapper (talk) 13:10, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Good, I'm glad I'm not going crazy. :p --Color Printer 13:12, 29 January 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm fairly certain that the menu is indeed based on the Wii Channels menu. Maybe someone should add that to the article... Cyberlink420 18:46, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] obvious or not

In my mind, this might fall under the category of explaning the joke, but does anything think that an explanation is needed on the this page to let the reader know that the name Videlectrix has been changed from Vi to Vii to reference the wii. I R F 15:07, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

No, I feel that that's excessive. — Lapper (talk) 17:59, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Latin: Vii = Wii

Here's an interesting tidbit: In Latin, the letter 'w' doesn't exist, but the sound of the letter 'v' sounds like a 'w' as in the word 'Wii' (we). 66.57.81.101 09:08, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

That's true in a lot of Indo-European languages. Correct me if I'm wrong. Shwoo 09:10, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

I was going to do this, but you beat me to the punch. I'm seriously reminded of Latin when I see this. ¤ The Dang, Pom Pom, you see that? That's a nice golbol. Talk to me. 21:01, 31 January 2007 (UTC)

I seriously doubt it has anything to do with this. All that's happening is that they put "ii" behind the V in Videlectrix to refer to the Wii. Think "Vee-delectrix" rather than "Vid-electrix", for pronunciation anyway. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 06:27, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Nintendo Power

Is it worth mentioning in the article that the most recent issue of Nintendo Power featured Viidelectrix in the Community section?

It's already mentioned on Magazine Sightings. --DorianGray 00:09, 5 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] New Games

I see the new games already came out, that would be cool. IF I HAD A Wii! :P Meh, at least these games are cool. I enjoy this version of SBZone and Duck Guardian rather than the other ones. Darkangel Get offa me!

I like them too, but talk pages are supposed to be used for discussing the article itself. This sort of idle chit-chat is better suited for the forum. A relevant thread can be found at http://forum.hrwiki.org/viewtopic.php?t=10457. – The Chort 21:02, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Uhh... I think it's bwoken.

I just now tried to get on to Trogdor! on my Wii, but the two new games somehow became not there anymore... This happens on my computer, too. Anybody know what's going on?

My computer took off the new games as well. Maybe they are fixing goofs? I guess we'll just have to wait it out. --TheYellowDart(t/c) 21:37, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
