Ding! Yearbook Character Page is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

Odd. Even without the "www" the links worked for me. - Dr Haggis - Talk 22:30, 27 Jan 2005 (MST)

I left him a message on his Talk page (he's been doing this to other pages). I don't know why he's wasting his time; the "www" is always optional. --Jay 22:32, 27 Jan 2005 (MST)
I've read that there can be problems with URLs that don't begin with www.WHATEVER or http://WHATEVER. Maybe he's having problems like that. mathgrant 23:02, 27 Jan 2005 (MST)
Yeah, this sounds like it might be specific to a certain browser or something. Either way works for me. -- Tom 12:22, 28 Jan 2005 (MST)
This shouldn't be an issue anymore. What with the new Interwiki links and all! --THE PAPER 17:09, 14 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Marzipans book

Is it just me or is Marzipan reading the book backwards? Surely the way she is turning the pages would bring her to the front of the book, and the position of the title makes it unlikely to be a Japanese or other right to left reading culture book (edit: oops, forgot the siggy) DumbMuscle 21:52, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

She is. It's noted on the page's fun facts. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 21:55, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
That's actually pretty common in cartoons, though I don't know why. I assume laziness has something to do with it. --Jay (Talk) 22:06, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
Oh yeh, guess I was expecting it in remarks rather than goofs (an example of Marzipan's wierdness rather than a mix up) DumbMuscle 22:32, 26 May 2006 (UTC)
There is the remote explanation that the book is in a language where books go that way, and the title is misprinted. But it was probably just an animation goof. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 22:35, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Hand Writing

Hey, doesn't Strong Bad have another hand than the one he usually writes in here? Marvelrulez 17:03, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Links: Why come so many?

So, there are a lot of links. Now, HRWiki:Standards says that there should be little to no links in a transcript. However, there are maybe two links per character page. This is problem, yeah? So, we could either a) move all links to the Fun Facts section b) move some links to the Fun Facts section and delete the obvious or unnecessary ones c) move some links to the Fun Facts section and keep the obvious or unnecessary ones d) delete all transcript links or e) leave the page alone, which would unfortunately go against the standards.

What, are you talking about the links to the characters? Those are fine, since this is a special case (not a transcription of the spoken words in a toon, but a record of a written item). As such, there is no cast list, and this is the most logical way to link to all the characters. "No links in a transcript" mostly refers to linking running-gag pages and such. More specifically, it means "no links in dialogue". Links in stage directions and headings are perfectly fine. --DorianGray 22:50, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

So who's yearbook is this, anyway?

Logically, judging by the characters' autographs, the yearbook belongs to some girl within the school. It's worth noting that the page was made in the very early stages of the site. Also, if you consider Strong Sad's statement that he'll never see her again, and the way that Homestar Runner wrote all nervously... my guess is that it belongs to the Homeschool Winner. Sounds like a good forum topic to me. --DorianGray 20:55, 3 February 2009 (UTC)
