For the record... I don't think they'd end the whole site. If this is "the end", it's probably just the last SBEMail. After which, they'd start something new. But that said, it's all just speculation on my part. The ending song "Save the last e-mail for Strong Bad" kinda hinted at that, though... But, yeah, as DumDe said, it also doesn't really fit that the Paper came down at the end. Why e-mail Strong Bad if there're gonna be no more SBEMail toons? Like I said, I'm probably jumping the gun. I'm hardly "panicking". I'd be upset if that was it for the SBEMails, but I trust that even if it was, TBC would make something just as good to replace it. I doubt they'd just ditch the site altogether. How many people, after all, have the dream life they do? To be able to make good money doing something they've always loved, and from the comfort of their own homes, no less. To give it all up and get "outside" jobs would be impractical, especially when you consider that Missy is pregnant, and she'd need Mike more than ever. After all, being your own boss and able to make your own hours would be a great thing when raising kids. But... now I'm just rambling. I think they've got a great thing going for themselves, and I too would love to be able to make a living -- and make people as happy as they do -- simply doing something I love that comes completely natural to me.) Remember [[50 emails]], [[comic]], [[flashback]], [[rock opera]] and [[portrait]]? It seems everytime they turn out a great landmark email like this one (or even take a long break), people think that they'll never make an email quite like that again. :That's pretty clearly a coincidence. VOIP! is a good onomotapoeia for the sound effect that accompanies Strong Bad's appearance/disappearance, while VoIP is an acronym for an emerging technology that lets people talk over the Internet. == Senor Cardgage Fishing Easter Egg-- Connection? ==

The odd "echo" sound effect heard in the fishing easter egg is also used in the first episode of the mockumentary TV series "Fishing with John", by actor/musician John Lurie.

I'm assuming that this is a stock sound effect, and simply a coincidence. To my knowledge, the similarities end with the sound itself and "fishing". But as a fan of both homestarrunner.com and Fishing with John, it made me laugh.

Fishing with John seems like the kind of indie/cult television show that ''could'' be referenced by HSR, though.

The Cheat was seen playing on a modified SK-1 in a few toons, and the actual keyboard appeared in a puppet movie.

What about the Teen Girl Squad variations? None of those ones are here either. I guess as with the PBTC versions, they don't exist in an alternate reality; Strong Bad made them himself, so they basically count as drawings. However, here's what I think should have happen if they did include a TGS scene: Strong Bad sees his TGS form making out with the hot version of The Ugly One, as seen in Issue 10. He then proceeds to make out with her himself, only to disappear suddenly. Strong Bad himself makes the disappearing noise. I think that's how it would happen if Strong Bad mets his TGS form. *Senor Cardgage - Seen around FCUSA often. Unless that was supposed to be creepy comb over Strong Bad.

Umm, when talking about alternate universes in Homestar Runner, you just can't leave out Old-Timey. It's just...wrong. Even if he "shouldn't be there because he was in the past and not a new dimension", Old-Timey Strong Bad just HAD to be in an email talking about alternate universes. The concept of them all singing together seems to be similar to [[Wikipedia:USA for Africa|USA for Africa]], where they got together pop music superstars and had them sing together to raise money to help the poor in Africa. Their most notable song was "We Are the World".

The word "sequicentennial" means 150 years. The "ennial" is related to the word "annual". Because sequicenten-email is a play on words, it works in this case. However, if he were to have called it his sequcentennial email, it would be incorrect, as he would have had to have started in 1856 and answered one annually in order to celebrate his sequicentennial. Perhaps "1936" could also have been "1856".

Unless the admins can tell us there's some option to make the Search account for this, the fix is to settle for ''doppelganger'' with no umlauts, which is an acceptable English spelling in American Heritage and Webster's, and to do the same with other words when possible. There's one flaw in that fact: Look in the background while Strong Bad is talking to Strong Sad, or pretty much any time it's zoomed out. The Lappy is Plugged in, and would therefore not be running off the batteries. When I saw the scene of Strong Bad mirroring the motions of his Puppet Stuff counterpart, I immediately was reminded of the classic mirror scene from the Marx Brothers' movie Duck Soup. In said scene, Chico and Harpo noisily shatter a pane of mirrored glass during an espionage mission, and must stand in the empty space and silently mimic Groucho's motions when he comes to investigate. :Two similar characters moving in unison doesn't necessarily make for a reference to anything, even though they're "mirror images" of each other.  In the scene you're talking about (as well as a similar happening between Harpo and Lucielle Ball on a classic 1955 episode of I Love Lucy), specifically involved creating an illusion of a mirror where there was none, and at least one character being (temporarily) fooled into thinking that a mirror was there. Upon watching back the intro for this email, when Strong Bad sings a sentimental song to Strong Sad playing the acoustic guitar, I'm almost sure that the pair were dealing with it in the style of the late Eva Cassidy. The "flipping rainbows" line tends to refer to her work covering "Over the Rainbow", and the general rhythmic pattern of the jingle (especially in the second half) made me think of the rhythms of the melody for her interpretation of "Fields of Gold".

== Flipping off rainbows ==

OK, I'm going to start this myself. I can't see how Strong Bad is possibly '''not''' referring to the giving the finger when he talks about flipping off rainbows in his email intro. It's completely in his character to do so. One user said Strong Bad would only do so if given a reason; I couldn't disagree more. What possible justification could SB have had for flipping off the sender of [[the bird]], or for that matter any of the other times he's given the double deuce? It's entirely consistent with his character to do so for any and every reason.
