Strong Mad

What should we call him? Young Strong Mad, as the transcript calls him, or Teen Strong Mad, as his article calls him? free 12:32, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

He seems to be very similar to his teenage variation, called Teenage Strong Mad, from highschool. Perhaps he's the same variation. – The Chort 13:49, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
However, the differences are subtle but important. I say we continue to call him Teen Strong Mad. OpenSourceGreg 15:47, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
I don't know, I think they are the same, and the differences can be accounted for by Strong Bad's "doodle" memory. 66.29.169.1 16:50, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Maybe it was meant to be the same version, but the small variations are just something the Chaps put in because it's newer. I even spotted some minor changes in young strong bad and strong sad's look, also. User:origonalname

Strong Bad annoys himself?

I listened to it a dozen times and while Strong Bad is drilling into the brick after talking about other imaginary friends it sounds like he says "Strong Bad and Scotty titi..." instead of "Strong Sad and Scotty titi...". Am I just crazy? —NFITC1talk 13:31, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Yes, yes you are. And I mean this is the maybe-nicest way I can put it. Oh my crap! You're right. I was listening for what I thought was the next likely word, not for what was actually said. Sorry, man. Guess I'm crazy.--Jellote wuz here 13:37, 13 July 2009 (UTC) UPDATE --Jellote wuz here 12:04, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
It's ridiculous, and it's also exactly what I hear. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 17:09, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
I hear Strong Bad to 99.239.22.106 18:14, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
I hear "Strong Bad" as well. Weird. MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 18:22, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
It's definitely Strong Bad. I didn't even have to turn up the volume fully. free 12:25, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Whew. I'm glad I'm not that crazy. ;) —NFITC1talk 00:22, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, Matt definitely made a stnank. It wouldn't be the first time TBC made a goof that was quite so noticeable. — Defender1031*Talk 00:33, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
This time it's Matt's fault though :p free 00:41, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

Cosistency?

Am I the only one who knows for a fact that Trogdor didn't exist in the time of Lil' Stro Bro? Seems retconned to me. Inconsistency, anyone? --Jellote wuz here 13:37, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Perhaps Trogdor used to exist in Lil' Strong Bad's mind until dragon, during which he drew him onto paper (albiet requiring a second attempt). Many cartoonists think up ideas for new characters years before they actually drawn the initial concept sketches. – The Chort 13:49, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Didnt Strong Mad have a Trogdor poster in this email?

This is probably a stupid thought, but since it doesn't actually say TROGDOR on the poster in Strong Mad's room, (it says PUBERTY) perhaps Strong Bad ripped off Trogdor from that dragon? Or maybe subconciously drew the same thing based off his childhood memory of it? I know, kind of far fetched. --76.248.84.243 15:43, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

The imagination version was a half man, half dragon. i think it was just something not well though through by the Chaps. User:origonalname]

Owies!

Gron Sad has a patch over his "Belly Button". Is this because he had a hole drilled there in origins? That's the only reason I see, and that was my first reaction. --Jellote wuz here 13:37, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

You are correct, Sir. It seems TBC were fortunate enough to remember this important fact. – The Chort 13:49, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
At least they remembered one fact. User:origonalname

Hyphen-have?

This e-mail features the word "friend-have". It somewhat reminds me of "VCR-have". Is that notable yet? 99.142.19.40 15:27, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

If you're suggesting that this could be a new running gag in the form of X-have, we'll need to find a few more examples before we can create the article. – The Chort 15:29, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
It seems like "sense-make" falls into this same pattern. Dunno what to call it though, but i'm sure there are plenty of others. — Defender1031*Talk 15:31, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Cherry get! free 15:33, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Gunhaver? Havl 15:58, 13 July 2009 (UTC)
Girlfriend-haver? That Game Dude 386 22:40, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
Nah, the "haver" ones don't really fit, however "cherry get" is a good one. The pattern seems to be when using "noun-verb" as a noun, thous "using 'noun-verb' as a noun" isn't a very good page title... maybe just "noun-verb"? — Defender1031*Talk 00:20, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
The cherry get is a separate joke, though. It's very clearly an engrish reference. -132.183.138.174 00:37, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Imaginary Friends

Should we make articles for all the minor ones, or just group them together somehow? Imaginary Friends page? free 15:57, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

too much "we"

I noticed there are two sentences in the script which need rewording: "We pans down to Lil' Strong Bad"[/sic] and "We pan down again to reveal a piece of bread on a blue plate with two pickle slice". Would the correct form for those be "Pan down to (...)" or how should that be rephrased? I wanted to reword it myself, but I didn't really know what would be better. --Cass from Germany 17:36, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Sorry, that was me who put those "we"s in there. You can go ahead and remove them if it sounds better without them. – The Chort 17:38, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Titi on Scotty Titi

This is a reference to peeing.

I think that's what the joke was implied to be. I'm going to add it to this email's and the peeing article. The main reason I say so is his lower body isn't shown and he exclaims "Oh no! My new boots!". Also titi/peepee. Kind of rhymes, and Strong Bad seems to say "titi" as if that wasn't what he really meant.--Jellote wuz here 01:32, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Strong Sad being very content...

He seems to be smiling QUITE a lot in this flashback. Is that noteworthy for the "Strong Sad Smiling" article, since the "Secrets That I Keep" stuff is noteworthy?

Maybe the reason is because he has a friend. He never has any friends in the modern times, which could be why he's so depressed. User:origonalname

Old Field?

Is it worth mentioning that in the flashback with Lil Strong Bad drilling a hole in a brick at the Stick, the bushes in the background are in their original "half circle" style?--24.34.9.24 04:31, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

I said consummate v's!

Does Lil Strong Bad's T-Shirt have the dragon design that Coach Z drew?

Hey, it IS Wormdingler! it looks like those cartoony drawings they make for kids t-shirts. free 12:18, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
It is not Wormdingler. It has legs. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 23:50, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

King Sad?

Is it just me, or do the bandages on Strong Sad's belly look like the ones on King Hippo (from Punch-Out!)? That Game Dude 386 22:32, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Both are examples of stereotypical cartoon bandages though, and we all remember how SS got his belly button... Strongkinghomsarsmith 22:37, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
True, and yet the location and styling seem too uncannily similar, and it wouldn't be the first Punch-Out reference... That Game Dude 386 23:37, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
It's clearly a reference to origins, and not necessarily a reference to King Hippo at all. I say stick with the reference we know over the reference we don't. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 23:50, 14 July 2009 (UTC)
That doesn't mean it couldn't be both at once, though. If it were just a reference to origins, it could easily have been a regular band-aid type bandage (like, tan with brown sides) rather than a cartoony, X-shaped white tape one. Just a thought. -132.183.138.174 16:31, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
I still think that it's not a reference to king hippo's bandage, but to bandages them selves. sure they didn't use a bandage, but do they have to? I say no reference. User:origonalname

Hey!

Strong Sad has Homsar as a friend, then again, Strong Bad hates Homsar almost as much as Strong Sad, so that's why Homsar wasn't mentioned as a friend.

This is great for the forum. — Defender1031*Talk 01:47, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

E. mail?

I'm all for correct grammar and punctuation, but since we have used the spelling "email" everywhere else on the site, should we really start spelling it "E. mail?"--Rotanagol 18:18, 15 July 2009 (UTC)

No, that's not how we do it. I've reverted it, along with a few other things the annony did that aren't the way we do stuff here. free 18:22, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
"E. mail" is simply wrong, period. The proper spelling is "e-mail", with a hyphen, but that's clearly not how Strong Bad spells it, so we don't either. Also, the anonny who made those edits is a vandal we've seen before (he always tries to make words more awkwardly complex - "Interior References", which is a completely meaningless term, is his giveaway.) Unfortunately, he has a dynamic IP address and rarely makes more than two or three edits at a time, so it's hard to do much about it. (Besides revert, revert, revert, I mean.) --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 18:55, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Noted. free 18:57, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Also, e-mail is losing currency to email every day, and already looks as quaint as to-day and per-cent. — It's dot com 19:06, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Well, no, "e-mail" will never become as quaint as terms that, if they even ever existed at all, are older than the concept of e-mails. ;) Of course, there should be no question here, when Strong Bad himself consistently calls them "emails". But even if you think "e-mail" looks antiquated - I disagree - it's a far cry better than "E. mail", to say nothing of "game-play" or "wall-paper", which just look stu-pid. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 19:16, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
A-greed. free 19:22, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
What does this have to do with this Email? Better for forums probably. User:origonalname
This has to do with page content, which is EXACTLY what the talk pages here are for. — Defender1031*Talk 00:40, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Last!?!

Email 200 was meant to be the last email. then they had Hremail 3184, which was some how a sbemail. Now they have a 202? Why do the chaps keep changing there minds?
