Correct me if I'm stupid, but what the HELL is this anyway?  Does the wikicode have something against using vertical lines?  I didn't know that you needed this kind of thing to use a vertical line...But at least this template get's some use|||||.{{User:Ten Ten/sig}} 22:34, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

:Well, you said it, not me. This template is used to get around the fact that the vertical bar means different things in different places. For example, if you try to use a vertical bar to indicate a cell in a table, it will completely mess up if-then ParserFunction statements, but you can use this template inside the if-then statement and everything is just fine. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 22:42, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Well, you said it, not me. This template is used to get around the fact that the vertical bar means different things in different places. For example, if you try to use a vertical bar to indicate a cell in a table, it will completely mess up if-then ParserFunction statements, but you can use this template inside the if-then statement and everything is just fine. — It's dot com 22:42, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Categorization

Check it out, we have a page for uncategorized templates! I think this should be catted under "Formatting templates", but I can't do it myself with the page protected and all. — SamSF%20sig.jpgFisher (Come in, Lambert.) 01:11, 16 November 2007 (UTC)

Why IS this protected anyway? — Defender1031*Talk 02:15, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
This page should never return any value other than "|", and it would break a whole lot of things if it were vandalized. — It's dot com 03:24, 16 November 2007 (UTC)
