Since Marzipan is the only main character that is female in the Homestar Runner universe, characters sometimes remark about that fact.

- Who Said What Now? — When Marzipan is clicked on, she says "I'm the only girl."
- Homestar Runner's Character Video — Homestar says he dates the only girl.
- Email marzipan — Emily, the author of the email, mentions that the only girl she's seen even near Strong Bad is Marzipan.
- Halloween Potion-ma-jig — When Homestar turns into Freaky Marzipan, Marzipan says "Hooray! I'm not the only girl!"
