Hey, you've done some good work for the wiki over the past several months. Have you considered creating an account? You'll be able to create some of those pages you've been suggesting in the Sandbox. Just a suggestion. The Knights Who Say Ni 02:28, 8 October 2018 (UTC)

I really, really, would rather not. While I do lack certain privileges as an anonymous user, I maintain that for the sake of humility and my own protection. I'd rather just stick to doing the writing and letting others take care of the important stuff. But thank you for noticing. 68.37.43.131 02:45, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
And I was wondering: Did I already ask you that on another IP? Keep up the good work. The Knights Who Say Ni 04:22, 8 October 2018 (UTC)
Since you asked, I used the IP 99.48.86.26 before I moved last April. But I still have to maintain my secret identity so I can over-achieve like a bandit. 68.37.43.131 22:56, 8 October 2018 (UTC)

Doing a transcript that someone else was working on

By the way, that was extremely rude of you to do the transcript when you knew someone else was working on it. The reason we put up the notices is because it takes considerable time, and now that time has been wasted. Thanks for reading. — It's dot com 20:51, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

Aw, gonkel. Yes, I am aware that I replaced DorianGray's notice, but I finished my version before I even saw the notice, and hoped no one would mind me posting a complete transcript away. -- 68.37.43.131 20:55, 25 October 2018 (UTC)

Tweets

Thank you very much for helping the wiki catch up with tweets! I understand it's a lot of manual work for quite a bit of content. I'd offer to help but as I probably mentioned somewhere else, I do not have the time to devote to helping :(. You also mentioned interest in having someone develop a bot to save a lot of time with updating the twitter pages. Unfortunately, the job isn't as simple as it would be scraping things off the H*R site: first off, the twitter API needs to be accessed. This would involve writing code or using an existing library to get the information that we need. I wouldn't be surprised if several of these APIs charge money (here's twitter's own pricing information). Then we have to find a wiki user that's familiar with these APIs (including wiki APIs) and has free time to devote to writing and testing the bot. In short, a twitter bot probably isn't a quick job and may require several hours of investment to write.

In the meantime, do not lose hope and do not burn yourself out! I'd recommend listing in each twitter talk page what's still missing (maybe in checklist format) so that other users are aware of what needs to be done and can help. Even with a slow wiki we still have users that are eager to help. So be patient and keep on tranglin'! --Stux 14:21, 24 March 2019 (UTC)

You're weclome! It's nice to know that the effort is appreciated. Thing is, despite updating the Twitter archive as best as I can, I don't have a Twitter account and don't access Twitter for any other reason. I have a feeling there are tweets I might be missing where Strong Bad might be responding to someone else that I don't see with unregistered access. I can keep the list of tweets up to date and I'm willing to write transcripts for short videos, but if there's anything I need other users to help me with, proofreading, dialogue checking and uploading corresponding pictures would be very, very helpful. -- 68.37.43.131 15:07, 24 March 2019 (UTC)
I would also like to thank you for all the work you've done. Unfortunately, you can't access most replies without an account, but fortunately, that's one of the reasons I created one (which I only use for @StrongBadActual-related purposes). I used to update the archive a lot more often, but I guess I haven't been doing that as much lately. I'll try to get back to that, so all the replies and images can be archived. I have started a talk thread for pending work here. --Stux 17:56, 24 March 2019 (UTC)

Fleabruary

Hi anonny 68, I think we're all a little baffled as to why "Fleabruary" keeps showing up in your edits. Do you have some sort of malware that really likes fleas? Do you need to install some bug spray? Lira (talk) 04:46, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

It's a little gag of mine. But feel free to ask Deidatvm. I think he knows the reason why. -- 68.37.43.131 21:18, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
It's true, I googled it myself. It's apparently a reference to a Cluefinders game (as is "Ape-Ril" which has also appeared in some of anonny 68's edits). DEI DAT VMdatvm center\super contra 21:35, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
That's fun and all, anonny, but it's a bit annoying to have to go in after you and shoo the fleas away. Maybe keep it to non-main namespace articles? Lira (talk) 21:43, 5 May 2020 (UTC)
Yes, I know. We gotta be professionals. But once in a while I sneak this blatant yet benign and consistent error to keep the other editors on their toes. If they move to fix one small thing, maybe they'll get inspired to fix other things, too. -- 68.37.43.131 23:08, 5 May 2020 (UTC)

Kickstarter livestream mirror?

Throwing a Hail Mary here... I noticed that you'd done a lot of work on transcribing Trogdor Playthrough with Strong Bad & friends!. By any chance did you download a copy of the video? The original and the archive links have both gone dead-as-a-doornail and a quick Google doesn't reveal any fan-uploaded mirrors. If you have a copy of the video that could be re-upped somewhere that would be sweet. -- Bleu Ninja 23:37, 14 December 2022 (UTC)

Dangit, I did download it, and then I deleted it a couple years back before I finished following a major mental breakdown. (Transcribing long-streams is brain-clogging work, and I had left the wiki for a couple years because I was tired of fighting with other, less-friendly users). I don't think I kept it anywhere. I thought I received the copy I had originally downloaded from someone else who had uploaded a mirror. Are you sure this livestream isn't archived anywhere? -- 68.37.43.131 00:23, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
