Heylo thar. Nice contribs to our wiki! You should really create an account, it will make editing much easier for you :-) Loafing 23:50, 3 September 2007 (UTC)

  • I know. I want one bad, yet I don't want to register just yet. 75.33.123.41 00:11, 4 September 2007 (UTC)
  • Also, I have been reading the wiki alot, just haven't really helped out yet until now.

IP Address Changes

I will start logging my IP adress changes, just so that there is no IP confusion until I get an account:

Why not create an account? If you're looking for attribution for your work, it's a lot easier if you have a registered username. Best, Trey56 23:21, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
My parents won't let me, and my dad says he's just fine with what I'm doing riht now, apparently.
That's too bad :-/ Anonnies have less privileges than registered users, by the way. For example, they cannot have real talk pages. Talk pages like this one are only to be used for the bare necessities such as giving technical advice or inviting people to create an account. Not for listing IP addresses, for example. On a side note, I have removed the transcriptinprogress note from redesign. These templates are only to be used while someone is actually working on it. They should be removed during longer breaks, and definitely over night. You should put it back up when you start working on it. Keep on tranglin' Loafing 23:59, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
Sure thing, Loafing! 70.239.222.30 00:11, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
Why won't your parents let you? If it's a privacy issue, then you need to know that IP addresses aren't nearly as anonymous as most people think. Just by looking at your IP addresses, someone could tell what city and state you are currently in, among other things. Registering an account actually offers more privacy. I can't think of any other reason they would let you continue to edit the site and yet not have a username. — It's dot com 00:22, 8 September 2007 (UTC)
I know (I must admit, I am a computer nerd, I own two laptops (Both Macs, both paid by my father)! I reminded my father about it, and that I am having to post with it, and only now he is a little concerned. Maybe because he doesn't think of Homestar Runner as the famous, big deal he is. 70.239.222.30 13:15, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Why don't you at least pick a name for yourself, sign your posts and editsummaries with it, and register it when you turn 18. 76.247.45.121 17:17, 8 September 2007 (UTC) i mean HomeDOGG90011

I though about that, but I'm worried someone would steal it. Nice concept, though! {laughs} 70.239.222.30 17:53, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Redesign commentary

Just wanted to drop you a note saying good job on the redesign transcript. I cleaned it up the formatting to meet with Wiki standards. One note in particular, the format for making italics is '' not '". If you have any questions about format, check some of the others on the site for ideas. wbwolf (t | ed) 15:24, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

Sure! Sorry 'bout that. I wanted to get some of it done before bed, so I went to the commentary for "senior prom" clicked edit, and just assumed it was a quote and an apostrophe. In fact, the edit before in the commentary for redesign just had quotes, and did not work (bug?). It was already 10:18 PM (I had worked on it for 2 hours) in my time zone (CDT) and I needed some sleep! Thank you for your help overnight! 70.239.222.30 17:47, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

This is the discussion page for an anonymous user who has not created an account yet, or who does not use it.

We therefore have to use the numerical IP address to identify him/her. Such an IP address can be shared by several users. If you are an anonymous user and feel that irrelevant comments have been directed at you, please create an account or log in to avoid future confusion with other anonymous users.
