This page was getting a tad long, so I decided to make an archive. Now it shouldn't be such a hassle to navigate anymore. -Brightstar Shiner 00:47, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Hmmm. I don't think it was that long. Really. Also make sure that people have time to read and reply to active threads too! Of course this is your talk page so you can do whatever the heck they you want! Have a good break! --Stux 03:45, 20 March 2007 (UTC)

Da Pizza Trophy!!

Brightstar, I find it odd that you've been doing so much work around here, yet have recieved little to no credit. I'm here to change that. You continue to work hard toward goals, both yours and those of the wiki as a whole. Even if you are the only one doing any real work (which is all too often), your continued effort in spite of working alone is respectable by any measure. So here's a token of all the respect you deserve! I hereby award you: THE PIZZA TROPHY!!

"Have a Pizza Trophy!"

Congratulations, and keep up the great work! — SamSF%20sig.jpgFisher (Come in, Lambert.) 17:34, 31 March 2007

Aww...thanks, Sam! I got a Pizza Trophy now! I'd like to thank my director, and my producer, and my mom, and.... <gets played off the stage> -Brightstar Shiner 11:56, 1 April 2007 (UTC)
Keep up your hard work Brightstar, you're an excellent contributor. --Stux 00:53, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks, Stux. I had a not-so-fun day at school today, and when I looked at you guys's compliments, I felt a lot better. Thank you! -Brightstar Shiner 19:46, 2 April 2007 (UTC)

Which quotes...

About the quotes you wanted us to guess which movie and character, one is Marty in Back to the Future II, and one is Doc in Back to the Future III. Don't know the other two. --Jnelson09 03:16, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

I called that thing off. Doesn't it say on the userpage? <goes and checks> Yeah, it does. Sorry J, maybe some other time. -Brightstar Shiner 22:12, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Strong Bad Allegiance Meeting

Alright. As you know on my page, we will discuss future plans. I want you to meet me in the sandbox. We will discuss our meeting in the sandbox. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 21:18, April 5th 2007 (UTC)

Okay. I'll be right there. -Brightstar Shiner 13:27, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

math problem

Hey. a long time ago, you answered a math problem of the week correctly, but i blew you off. Sorry. But anyway, i made a user box for answering correctly, and you have won it. Here it is:

2+2=4

Have fun with it! -Zerlock1124

Thanks, Ziplock (that's going to be your new nickname, okay?). Don't worry about forgetting me. I'll just put this userbox on my page and thank my math teacher! -Brightstar Shiner 19:52, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

Leaving

Hey Brightstar! Sorry to hear this :( You'll be missed; feel free to come back any time! Trey56 00:26, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

Yes, ditto. And... writing a screenplay? Stop getting so cool all the time. =3 You're making it too hard for the rest of us to compete. --DorianGray 00:28, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Yeah, I know, I'm sorry I can't be around very much. I'm not leaving since I'll probably be back in the summer, but I can't be around for long periods of time anymore. Sorry, guys. -Brightstar Shiner 00:30, 6 May 2007 (UTC) By the way, this screenplay is called Star Savior of Marenia and it's gonna rule!
Yeah, there's no reason why you couldn't come back once you've finished writing, no? Loafing 00:32, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Just don't be a stranger. Come back every now and again (like I have) at the very least. You're a good editor (and that includes your english skills) so yeah, don't be a stranger, stranger ;). --Stux 00:47, 6 May 2007 (UTC)
Okay. School's out in three weeks and two days, which makes 17 school days (not like I'm counting or anything), and after that I have a busy-in-spurts summer, so I'll be around. Just not exactly constantly. Also, thanks for the note, Stux. It's nice to be complimented every once in awhile. :) -Brightstar Shiner 22:10, 7 May 2007 (UTC)
You're welcome, and yes it is nice, I should know ;). Just whenever you can drop by, well... drop by! --Stux 19:51, 9 May 2007 (UTC)

Back

Hi, guys! Right now all of you are probably reaching way back into the far reaches of your minds, trying to retrieve that wisp of a memory that a certain user by the name of Brightstar Shiner ever existed on our fair wiki. Other users who joined the brigade in that black void of a time that I wasn't here most likely disregarded my first post in goodness knows how long as a minor blip on the Recent Changes radar, not even granting it a second thought. My pities to the latter and humble condolences to the former, who surely have been staring at a blank wall crying the entire time I was gone. But no more! I am now 14 years old and a freshman in high school. Those awful glasses are gone and in about a month the braces will be too (yays!). I've been working diligently on my screenplay and have some of it done even! As soon as I remember how to format and code all this stuff again, I'll let you all see it. Let me know if there's anything I can do to help out, okay? Has the Featured Article cleanup been gathering dust? I wonder... -Brightstar Shiner 00:28, 30 April 2008 (UTC)

Yay. Twas just the other day I was thinking "Boy, I haven't seen Brightstar Shiner in a while. Which is sad, coz she was a neat person, a good editor, and also a girl." Weclome back. You were probably missed. --DorianGray 03:45, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Your pity is appreciated, Brightstar Shiner. I think..? OptimisticFool 07:10, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
I was being silly. Don't let your brain explode over it, okay? ^_~ -Brightstar Shiner 13:42, 3 May 2008 (UTC)
Whoa! Look who's back! This message is LONG overdue but as you can see I haven't been very active as of late. Several weeks ago I was wondering what you might be up to; so it's a pleasant surprise seeing you around and I'm glad to hear that you are doing well with your life! You're an excellent editor and it's good to see excellent editors devote their time to this wiki. So I definitely wanted to say: Welcome back Brightstar! --Stux 04:23, 4 May 2008 (UTC)
Awww... thanks, Stux! I was wondering what happened to you, too. And I'm glad so many people think I'm an excellent editor, but it's only going to make my already-huge ego go through the roof! -Brightstar Shiner 11:02, 4 May 2008 (UTC)

And then

Hey there. I'm really glad you're going through the articles to proofread them. A bunch of them sorely need it. You are consistently making one change, however, that I need to bring to your attention: I've seen you change the and in a sentence to then, so that it might read, "The first thing happened, then the second thing happened." Then is an adverb, not a conjunction, and so you need both words if you're making a compound sentence: "The first thing happened, and then the second thing happened." Again, good work, and keep on tranglin! — It's dot com 14:41, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

Thanks for the tip. I may be awesome at what I do, but I'm not perfect. ^_^ -Brightstar Shiner 16:50, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

By Invitation Only

Dear Brightsar Shiner (or current occupant),

Have you ever considered the benefits of IRC? IRC, or Internet Relay Chat, is a free internet service what lets you talk to other wiki users in real time. It can run on a separate client or even in your browser, via the Java version. It's like a talk page, but with irrelevant chatter and a large number of actual people.

I invite you to join us because you: A) are a strong, worthwhile contributor, 2) seem like a fun person to talk to, and D) are also a girl, something we are sorely lacking in. =3 If you choose not to brave our special offer, it will not expire. You may redeem it any time. We also have a number of individual offers for a more personal instant messenger service that I wouldn't say no to talking with you over instead.

Please send your reply in a self-addressed, stamped envelope to:

W- Wait. Are you sending me this invitation because you genuinely like me, or because you think I chat too much on the knowledge base (which I don't think I do)? -Brightstar Shiner 22:13, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
I assure you it's the first one. =) --DorianGray 22:14, 10 May 2008 (UTC)

Drawing There...

Did you do that drawing of the manga-fied version of you-ish? Just wondering. ColdReactive

Yes, I did. -Brightstar Shiner 19:29, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
I must congradumalate you somehow for having good drawing skills. *strokes chin* I'll think of something. ColdReactive
Well, I have been drawing in the manga style for over two years. I'm even writing a screenplay about some of my characters that I draw. That particular drawing and another color one of all the people in the screenplay have been entered in my school's art show, which happens this Friday. Whether or not I get a ribbon for them has yet to be seen. -Brightstar Shiner 19:38, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
I do terrible at drawing, that said, I do good at eyes in anime style. o_O; Believe me or not. I hope you get a ribbon. ColdReactive

By the way, I went to the art show a few hours ago and guess what? I got ribbons for both of my drawings! In the Art 1 "People" category, the picture on my user page got 1st place, and the color drawing (which is not on the wiki) got 2nd place! Yays! -Brightstar Shiner 02:06, 17 May 2008 (UTC)

That is great indeed, I'm happy for you. :P ColdReactive

Just a Hello and a Thanks.

Hello ! Just wanted to say thanks for the help on my userpage. I actually thank you on there as well. Oh and good luck with your screenplay! I'm happy to help in any way possible. =] Check you later and until then, Remember... Sometimes, Wizards Are So Awesome... It hurts. xx --lustmyeyes <3 04:14, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

No probalo! I'm always here to help. But remember to use Show Preview so you don't edit the same page several times in a row. And if you wanted that to look like a letter, with the breaks, just use the command <br> after each line. Like this:
But ninjas are so much cooler than wizards. Any day. ^_~ -Brightstar Shiner 11:19, 14 May 2008 (UTC)

Regarding the Rubik's cube, you report that there are 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 wrong arrangements for a Rubik's Cube. I must inform you that there are actually 43,252,003,274,489,856,000 total arrangements. In other words, there are 43,252,003,274,489,855,999 wrong arrangements and 1 right one.
