[edit] Show Preview

Hey there. I noticed you've been making a lot of changes to an article at once. Just letting you know: If you aren't finished with an article, but you want to see what it would look like, you should use the show preview button. Keeps the recent changes page clutter free and springtime fresh! Er... clutter free anyways. Acam30 21:55, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

Oh, right. I forgot. Sorry! fuchsiania 21:59, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
That's okay. Cool sig by the way. Acam30 22:05, 18 October 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Any script?

Does anybody know if there is a way to embed Javascript or PHP or ANY script into a page in the wiki? (I guess it doesn't work because of the way the PHP wiki parses the code, and because I would be inserting PHP within PHP) - fuchsiania 01:36, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

As far as I know, there is no possible way. Why do you ask? --64.149.213.65 01:41, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Oh, and not only would you be inserting PHP command into another, I'd think MediaWiki would parse it as a start tag and render it invalid. --64.149.213.65 01:58, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
There are various ways to use scripts, depending on what you're trying to do. What are you trying to do? — It's dot com 00:57, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
Well, I wanted to add a useless gimmicky userbox to my user page that either displayed, "This user is likely awake" or "This user is likely asleep", depending on the Pacific Standard Time. — fuchsiania 01:13, 31 December 2008 (UTC)
You should use parser functions. I started to give you pointers on how to proceed and let you do most of the work yourself, but then I realized just how intricate this code would be (and how using a couple of our custom parser functions would make it a lot easier), so I just made a userbox myself. Feel free to use it. There are two numbers that control it: the smaller number is when you get up (currently set to 8 (8 a.m.)) and the larger number is when you go to sleep (currently 22 (10 p.m.)). The time zone is controlled by "America/Los_Angeles", which automatically accounts for daylight-saving time (anyone else who uses this code should look on one of these lists to find an appropriate time zone; anyone in the Eastern Hemisphere should change "now - " to "now + "). Cheers! — It's dot com 01:11, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Also, note that it will only show whether you were likely awake or asleep as of the last time the page was parsed... have a look at Talk:Main Page#Non Sequitur Templates, it's the same deal. You can add something like {{p|l={{fullurl:{{FULLPAGENAME}}|action=purge}} Make up-to-date}} to the userbox (or anywhere else on the page) to add a purge link. --phlip TC 01:28, 1 January 2009 (UTC)
Thanks, Dot Com and Phlip! — fuchsiania 02:22, 1 January 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Welcome!

Hey Fotoshop, I know you've been here for several months, but I just wanted to say welcome to the Homestar Runner Wiki! Do you have CS4 yet? I want to get it soon. I actually prefer working on a PC over a Mac (I have both), but, like you, I intentionally chose XP when I could have had Vista. Your custom Fotoshop logo is cool! Well, see ya 'round the wiki! — It's dot com 17:37, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Hi, Dot Com! I admire your work with the wiki extensions, the fanstuff wiki, the editing of the wiki pages, and so much more! And, no, I do not have CS4. I don't want to run my mom into the ground, considering the fact that she has bought me too many things in the past nine days. In fact, I don't really use Photoshop that much anymore, for some reason. Well, see you, too! — fuchsiania 00:20, 31 December 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for your help!

Hey thanks for helping me and the other users revert that Erwin Morland whatever guy's horrible vandalism.Record307 Talk/Contribs 02:56, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks for Your Assistance

Thanks for your assistance in the most recent vandal attack. We haven't had one of such serious nature in a while, and your help in reverting his work was most appreciated. Keep up the good work. --DorianGray 03:25, 23 February 2009 (UTC)

[edit] This may just be a conicidenhce, but...

Now this may just be a coincidence, but whenever I go to your userpage it logs me out for no reason without even saying i'm logged out and your userpage says something about a cache. So, is there something wrong? Just asking. CrabAttack1999 02:14, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Never happened to me, so it might be a coincidence... — fuchsiania 19:27, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
'Kay, just making sure. CrabAttack1999 21:55, 6 December 2009 (UTC)
