DOS was an old, ummm, way to compute, and no one likes it anymore. It was used for things like BASIC, and it is a text based way to cumpute. For example: MSDOS can compute things kinda. Can I have a MUFFIN? Or a congratulation? Bluebry 03:37, 12 February 2006 (UTC)

When to STUFF

EDIT CONFLICT: Qermaq's pretty much right. The reason I STUFFed it was not just to decline it. At least two people thought it wasn't a major stretch (Alcnolien and Seriously), and I didn't want to get into a revert war with them, plus even I wasn't entirely sure of it being a "major stretch" or not. little... asterisk... thing

It changes the page's listing in the category so that is is under an asterisk instead of the normal alphabetical listing. It's kinda hard for me to explain, but it's used for organization. For example, in Powered By The Cheat, Powered By The Cheat would be listed under an asterisk instead of "T", because it's a sort of hub for all the PBTC pages. How do you upload images that good?

Sorry for the late reply. There was a big storm and lightning struck and the Internet went down and... well, you get the idea. To upload images, press the key on the top right corner of the computer that reads "Print Screen" when you want to capture the image. If you have a Mac it may be different, though. I don't know about Macs. Then, go into Microsoft Paint or any other similar program (like Photoshop) and paste the image. Then you can use the different tools in the toolbox to crop the image and do other stuff with it. Then save the image as a PNG (there are some exceptions to this rule, see HRWiki:Image use policy for details). Go to HRWiki and click the link on the left side of the screen reading "Upload file". Just follow the instructions there and you should be fine. Ask me or anyone else here if there's something that needs more explaining. — Has Matt? (talk) 23:27, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

I just happened to be in the neighborhood/your userspace when I came across several informations that lead me to believe you live somewhere around San Antonio or Austin or somewhere in Texas. You're welcome! I've been noticing quite a few merges lately, and I felt it was misleading to put a delete template on when it's not being deleted, just merged. Then Phlip copied the template code and put it on The Periodic Table of Candy Elements, and that's when I knew it needed to be made. P.S. It happens quite often. I'm sure many admins there realize that most wikis that are built these days model their's after wikipedia. It's hard not to when they're all using the same core software. Debut only for characters

Hey, Has Matt! How are ya? I saw you stripped some Debuts saying it's "only for characters". Well, I thought that too until I found in the Manual of Style that we list the debut if it's "a character, place, or item." Some of the things you de-Debuted (buted? re-buted?) work out to not fall into that category anyway, but thought I'd share something smart I'd discovered. Reply to both Qermaq and Dot com: I've seen some people going around saying that debut was only for characters, but after checking HRWiki talk:Standards, I've realized that the issue is still largely undecided. Thanks for letting me know. Just so you know, there were some things that are such a big part of H*R, I wasn't sure whether to remove the debut or not (Videlectrix, Cheap As Free...), so I just left it there until we could reach a further concensus. — Has Matt? Incidentally, all works in the US are copyrighted upon creation. Filing's not a requirement, though it helps a heap in a court of law.
