Another one

Hey Homestar Coder, I have another picture of unknown origin for you to inquire aboot, I mean about. It's this one, listed in the Items#Books section. Any ideas? --Stux 16:48, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

I also have half of one: it's Image:That_Time_of_Year.png it states it's from dween_kidsbook.html, but I haven't found the related page... yet. --Stux 16:50, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
Image:Comeback.PNG is from garage sale, and the related page is That Time of Year. —FireBird|Talk 16:52, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
Sweet! Thanks Firebird! --Stux 16:53, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
I replaced Image:Comeback.PNG with a better picture from 50 emails (not covered by Coach Z's arm). Oh, and Homestar Coder, I hope you don't mind me answering a question directed to you. :) —FireBird|Talk 17:08, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
Two things: I looked at the Image:Comeback.PNG image and it looks the same to me? Oh nevermind I figured it out (i needed a hard refresh). So neverind, only one thing then: if that comeback picture is in 2 emails: garage sale and 50 emails, then shouldn't it have its own page? (Thanks for letting us use your page Homestar Coder.) --Stux 19:29, 11 February 2006 (UTC)
I went ahead and created the page. It could use more information. If it does not merit a page it can be deleted. --Stux 19:45, 11 February 2006 (UTC)

I Know I'm Late, But...

Meep meep meedle-mee meep! (Congratulations!)

Recently I decided to award a The Cheat-Bot to any and all users who correctly guessed my Latin translations. So, here it is! Keep it up, LePorello / T / C 21:57, 23 February 2006 (UTC)

That's so cute! *hugs the Cheat bot* Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 21:43, 26 February 2006 (UTC)
And since you got the new one, here's your prize. Ding!
I was thinking that that was a very 60's-style cartoon. Then I looked at the guy's filmography, and he started making toons in 1958. Coolness. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 22:23, 1 March 2006 (UTC)
I wouldn't know. My mom emailed it to me. LePorello / T / C 22:34, 1 March 2006 (UTC)

A whole year?

If this is in fact the anniversary of you joinging the wiki, then conga ratz. We would definitely not be where we are without you. — Seriously (Talk) 21:16, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

Thank you! *watches the conga ratz dance* Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 22:00, 3 March 2006 (UTC)

MA library card

Hi there Homestar Coder. I was wondering if you happened to have a Massachusetts library card that you could use to access their Newsbank database of Boston Globe articles. You see, a nice anon user added an interview that appeared back on August 9, 2003 (you might need bugmenot.com for that one after a while). We couldn't copy it, of course, but we could do a short summary if we can get our hands on the text of the article. (You also might be able to use your school's library website, maybe to get Boston Globe archives, I think. That could be easier.) Thanks so much. -- Tom 01:10, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Hi

Hey, Coder! Glad to see you again. Hope all's been going well for you. Keep on tranglin'! Heimstern Läufer 17:55, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Greetings, citizen! Are you getting enough oxygen? Now that term is over I'm hoping to get back into wiki'ing again... Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 17:56, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Yay! — It's dot com
Hey, that's cool. And yes, I've been getting plenty of oxygen. And even sufficient sleep, even though I probably shouldn't be, since the term isn't over for me. Heimstern Läufer 18:16, 7 June 2006 (UTC)
Sleep is for the weak. :p Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 18:26, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Hey Coder! What Heimstern said at the start of this thread. What's your thesis about? — It's dot com 17:38, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

Oh dear, the question I dread above all others ;) Well, basically, we have a system where students in a classroom have tablet PC's, and they can write on them and send answers to in-class questions to an instructor. Another guy wrote the handwriting analyzer, some other people wrote the database, and I wrote the part of the system that takes the student answers and checks to see if they are correct, and then puts them in various categories based on what mistakes the student made. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 17:41, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Yay for wikis! But boo for not upgrading since MediaWiki 1.3.1. If you need help, let us know. Looks like a real cool project though. -- Tom 17:58, 20 September 2006 (UTC)
Gah, the Internet stalking! :p I fail to see why the wiki needs updating when only about nine people are supposed to be using it at all. My thesis project is far less important than Homestar Runner, you know ;) Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 16:20, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Security updates are the big reason. And then there's cool new features too. -- Tom 16:26, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Hey coder, welcome back, we've missed ya! I R F 18:46, 20 September 2006 (UTC)

WUW

So you know, this is the new WUW. So the link that you have on this page isn't correct. Also, everything was deleted, so you don't have that email anymore either. And also, hey whats up.--H*Bad 18:23, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

'Kay. I've been meaning to delete it anyway. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 18:26, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

In progress

Hey Coder. If you want, you can put the {{inprogress}} or {{pageinprogress}} template on that page until you're done with it to alert others not to give you edit conflicts. :) — It's dot com 18:56, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Eh, that seems a bit drastic. I'll be done soon. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 19:01, 7 June 2006 (UTC)

Kingdom of Loathing

You've got an account on Kingdom of Loathing? So do I! I'm known as Aquasharkyboy. Maybe we should swap gifts sometime! – The Chort 14:20, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

'Ello!

Saw you peek! Good to see you! Hope you are doing well! (some) Mushrooms are edible! Take care! And don't be a stranger! --Stux 20:19, 22 April 2007 (UTC)

Hello! Nice to see you too. Mushrooms are nasty (except the video game kind). :) Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 13:33, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
The videogame kind are awesome! Haven't played them in a while though. Too much to do. What have you been up to these days? --Stux 16:08, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Right now I'm playing Kingdom Hearts Final Mix, so I've got video game mushrooms on the brain ;) Mostly I've been working my code monkey job, living a fairly unexciting life, and playing video games a lot. I'd like to catch up on HR-watching and get back to editing the wiki some... what are you up to? Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 16:47, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Greetings, Amanda. Nice to see you again. Thesis done and gone? —BazookaJoe 16:50, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi Joe! How are you? My thesis is finished and presumably stored away in a dusty corner of the library (when I had my summer job there, I really hated having to organize those theses...). Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 16:56, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Oh, just finishing up my first year of college! On the path to becoming one of those shady meteorologist types.
<_<    >_>
BazookaJoe 16:59, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Yay! Good luck with that. When do you get the keys to the uber-secret weather control machine? Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 17:06, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Expect the weather to get crazy in the spring of 2010. Mu-ha-ha-ha... —BazookaJoe 17:17, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
I hope your thesis doesn't have the same fate as in the one with Ross's library book. Good to see you! — It's dot com 17:02, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Greetings Ben! ...is that a Friends reference? Agh, my eyes! XD Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 17:06, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Hey, hi from me, too. I wish my thesis were finished and collecting dust in the library. Right now I'm finding myself using non-HRWiki-permitted language about it. Oh, well. Anyway, good to see you around. Heimstern Läufer 17:33, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
Oh, right, we're not allowed to swear here. Diaper biscuits. :p Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 19:21, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
When I saw this, this thread had grown overnight! Glad to see you back around the wiki! You should stop by IRC sometime (not that I'm ever there...) As for me, I'm still editing the wiki off an on, at small spurts at a time since I'm still trying to finish my master's. In fact I'm procrastinating about that very thing right now! ;) Ugh the "joys" of building frameworks for my Software Engineering class. --Stux 22:58, 25 April 2007 (UTC)
Yay, software engineering lab! Good luck with that. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 00:10, 26 April 2007 (UTC)
Verily, verily, I say unto you: Thank you! I need it! --Stux 00:42, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

I am sooooo jealous!!! :) --Stux 19:07, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Hehehe... I had to use the Gamestop inventory-checker thing and get there very early to finally get one! Editing the Wiki with the Wii is really hard, though. I'ma not do that again. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 19:10, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
Sii, I don't even USE the iinternet browser on the Wii, so editiing the Wiikii isn't an iissue. I have a perfectlii good computer. My Wii is for playiing games. Oh, but congrats. Have fun playiing Zelda and Wii Sports and whatever! ;) --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 19:26, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
So the Internet browser is pretty cool for watching Homestar Runner on my TV (since I don't have the DVDs... I should really pick those up sometime), just not things that involve typing. But I had to try editing the Wiki just for fun ;) I don't have Zelda, I have WarioWare and Super Paper Mario :) Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 19:29, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
I have both of those AND Zelda, so :P! (Whoa, I'm having flashbacks to the fifth grade! Ah, the days of the five-paragraph essay...) --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 00:41, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

As we've said before, this is the knowledge base, not the fanstuff wiki. Please ask Super Sam or one of the other active sysops over at the fanstuff wiki (not this wiki) about your Wiki User Email. Has Matt? (talk) 03:33, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

Yes, yes. Come on in heeeeeeeeere. --DorianGray 22:35, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
That kind of went badly. I think everybody else should join Kingdom of Loathing and hang out with me on /c games. *nodnod* Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 22:34, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm on KoL, but I don't know anything about it. What's a /c games? Trey56 22:50, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
It's a chat channel. Are you ever in chat? Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 22:55, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Hmm... I just started an account, so I don't know how to do that. Trey56 23:16, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Tell me your account name, and if I see you online, I will help you. I go by Demyx the Dancer (and also just plain Demyx). Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 23:19, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
I'm Trey56, same as here... thanks! Trey56 23:20, 14 November 2007 (UTC)

None of your beeswax. :) Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 22:40, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Okay... jeez, just asking... — Defender1031*Talk 22:41, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Awww, we just like to entertain. Anyway, don't forget to check back into our lovely channels some time to see if the chatter has become more beareable ;-) Loafing 22:50, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Perhaps I will, although I fear another unit of chat channel might make my head explode. Wouldn't be the first time. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 22:55, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Hi, welcome back! I wasn't around when you were like... a big user, but I've seen your edits and you seem like a cool person. —Guard Duck talk 22:38, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
How could a chrono trigger fan NOT be cool? — Defender1031*Talk 22:38, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Rest assured, I am most definitely NOT COOL in any way, shape, or form. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 22:40, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
YOU LIE!!!!! — Defender1031*Talk 22:41, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
I never lie. I am made of pure truth and perfection. See this halo? I totally didn't steal it from a baby angel. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 22:42, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
Since you, being made of pure truth and perfection, never lie, attested to being not COOL, we assume that you are not cool. However, Being made of pure truth and perfection is by definition, in and of itself, VERY COOL. Thus, our assumption is negated, therefore, you are VERY COOL. Proof by contradiction. *Poof!* The universe imploded. Oh, man! --Stux 23:23, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
