[edit] Merry Birthday!

the only birthday cake I could find on such a short notice!
I assume that from your edit that on this day October 25, 2X years ago you were born!? Well, a happy birthday cake to you too! Congratulations! Next year you'll have to tell me what the big 3X feels like cuz I'm not that far behind ... (ok I'm slightly less than halfway there)... Congratz! --Stux 18:57, 25 October 2005 (UTC)
Happy T!, I mean happy birthday. {clears throats and prepares to sing} "This is your birthday song, it isn't very long! Hey!" I R F 19:04, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

Sweet, sweet Dot Com, Today is the day on your real (?) I.D.
Now, get upstairs—unh! And fix me some new pages! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 19:09, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

Hehehe... Ah, you thought you could hide it from us with your ever-so-subtle edit coz you knew people'd make a big deal out of it, yeah? Lo, but we wiki users are too sharp for that. No edit escapes our eyes. Yea unto the dawning of a new era... or just another It's dot com birthday. Seriously, though. Happy birthday, and all that. Interesting... Next year, I'm assuming you'll be hitting 30. I'll be hitting 20 just before that. --DorianGray
DorianGray wrote - "Next year, I'm assuming you'll be hitting 30." Sarcastic reply - yep that usually comes after 29.
DorianGray wrote - "Lo, but we wiki users are too sharp for that." reply - no we just don't have a life, at least not one that others would understand.
Again, Happy T! I R F 19:30, 25 October 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Sysop

Just letting you know, you have been given sysop privileges. If you have any questions, never hesitate to ask. Thanks. -- Tom 16:28, 11 Sep 2005 (UTC)

To JoeyDay, Tom, and all of you who have supported this, thank you from the bottom of my heart. I promise to fight for truth, justice, and the wiki way, and to always use my powers for good, and for awesome. Sincerely, It's dot com — 17:23, 11 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Congrats, Dot com, and thank you for all the work you put into this wiki. Whether it be STUFF, troll fighting, public relations, revising, rewriting, copyediting, collaborating, you always do a top-notch job. —BazookaJoe 17:49, 11 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Please forgive me for the delay in these combolations. This is an honor you've deserved for quite some time now, glad to see you can finally block all of those trolls that irk us so. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 03:45, 12 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Here here, congrats! You've finally been endowed with the tools you so desperately deserved. (I was on the chat channel when JoeyDay first awarded them their powers, but it doesn't hurt to congratulate twice) Thunderbird 16:56, 12 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Combolations, Valerie! You'll no doubt do an outstanding job as sysop! THE SMOKING MONKEY 11:24, 13 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Jay here. I see from the Recent Changes page that the two of you were named sysops at the Homestar Runner Wiki. Way to go! Join the elite ranks! I was actually thinking a while back that you two would make [good sysops], though I played no part in the actual decision. I'd congratulate you on the Wiki itself, but, well... (from Jay via email at 09:35, 10 Sep 2005 (UTC), sent while the wiki was locked)
To note, the above was also sent to BazookaJoe (who was named a sysop at the same time). I wasn't really expecting it to appear on this Wiki... But you guys both help out a lot around here, from refining STUFF to troll-fighting to whatever, so I do stand by what I said. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 21:29, 13 Sep 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Admin Team

Congratulations, Dot com! I always knew you'd be on the admin team! We salute you. — Lapper (talk) 22:57, 21 November 2005 (UTC)

Woah, you're on the ranks with Tom and Stu now. Congrats. :) - Joshua
Ohhhh! So that's what he means! Congraturalatateytions!!! --Stux 00:10, 22 November 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, jeepers. It's dot com's just a-jumpin' up the ladder, eh? Awesome. Anyone will say you deserve it (and everyone probably will, sooner or later. You know how these things spread on talk pages). --DorianGray
Yea, I could see that one coming. I've thought of your technological know how, diplomatic mannar, professionalism, and zeal for the wiki as top knotch bureaucratic quality for some time now. Congratulations man. Thunderbird 01:20, 23 November 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Developer status

  • (Bureaucrat log); 00:45 . . Tom (Talk) (Changed group membership for User:It's dot com from bureaucrat, sysop to bureaucrat, sysop, developer)

Brilliant, It's dot com! Congratulations! Also congratulations on being the fastest user to be promoted in rank twice. — Lapper (talk) 05:53, 27 December 2005 (UTC)

Top o' the heap now, aren't ya? If he wasn't such a good user, I'd think he had some sort of mind-control device, an ulterior motive, and a world-domination plot. Or maybe I read too many comics. --DorianGray
Thanks you guys, but actually nothing is different (in a philosophical sense) from before. The "developer" user group is unused in MediaWiki 1.5 except for one feature, which we didn't decide to enable until just now. Because the group was undefined, before today it wasn't possible (without editing the database directly) to add me to it (or, indeed, to even remove the labels next to the names of the other members of the Admin Team, if we had wanted to dissolve the group altogether). Once the group was defined, I could have added myself to it if Tom hadn't done it for me. Note to self: DorianGray seems to have stumbled upon my plans. Take steps to eliminate. Muahaha. Er, I mean, rock, rock on! — It's dot com 06:17, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
So Tom was going to promote you straight to developer before, but the feature wasn't enabled? Nothing is new? Don't you get power to directly edit the database and such? — Lapper (talk) 06:31, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
Right, nothing is new. The promotion back when was to Admin, not bureaucrat. Bureaucrat status was merely part of it. It would also have included the developer group had it existed at the time. Access to the database is a separate process, and I've been able to do that as long as I've been on the Admin Team. — It's dot com 06:39, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
Ah, now I understand. — Lapper (talk) 06:45, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
It's still kinda cool! It sort of makes it official now. :) To the big man on campus I say, Congratz! --Stux 07:03, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
Congratulation on your developertion, Dot Commetion! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 10:12, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
Okay, thanks again, but I reiterate: Everything is the same. Nothing is new. :| — It's dot com 13:39, 27 December 2005 (UTC)
I'm a bit late, but I gotta say congrats as well. Just don't let your hand slip while stroking the great big "take down the wiki" button that we all know exists. And nice work on your talk page reformatting. That's totally brilliant. It's like... It was meant to be... I'm not kidding... Thunderbird 00:54, 29 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Happy birthday, dude

祝你生日快乐! Well, it may be the twenty-fourth in my time zone, but as it's past midnight in yours, I'm going to jump the gun. Happy birthday to a superb administrator and a good friend. Do what you can to have some fun in today's days. Heimstern Läufer 05:56, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

Oho! Happy X1st birthday!
