Place ya bets

Sorry about that, I was using next epi-snowed as a starting template and meant to copy and paste the text into its own article. I fear I shall leave this up to those who aren't currently at work. GillanTheVillain 22:25, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Naw, it's an easy mistake to make. I do see now that, yes, the short IS real. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 22:27, 15 September 2008 (UTC)

Uh, sorry about that Strong Badia the Free thing. I'll be more careful next time. Have you already reverted to the past version of the page, how it was before I edited it? Thanks if you did. —Mas12806 (talk·contribs) 21:35, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, and if it was an accident, it's all cool now. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 22:11, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

A little thank you

I just want to pass a brief thank you for your assistance on Behind the Bad Episode 2's transcription. Though, I don't know if this is clear yet, but I'm a female. No biggie though, it happens :) Rexy 07:34, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Actually, the possibility of you being female occurred to me shortly after I typed that and took a second look at your user name. Oh well. No offense meant, of course. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 07:41, 23 October 2008 (UTC)

Typo?

"A game about love, honor, power, and giant taking kitty cats..."

Shouldn't that be giant talking kitty cats?--99.161.128.249 00:54, 28 October 2008 (UTC)

... ... ... ... ... Now how long has that been on my user page?!?!?! Thanks for pointing it out. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 02:28, 28 October 2008 (UTC)
(To answer my own rhetorical question, that typo went unnoticed for almost four years. Oops. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 23:54, 28 October 2008 (UTC))

Sig

Just to let you know, it's no longer thanksgiving. It's christmas. Raiku 01:04, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

Oh, yeah. I wasn't even paying attention to my sig. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 01:05, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
Jay, how do you change the colors in your sig? coz i want more than just green. Plz tell me asap. OpenSourceGreg 07:04, 4 April 2009 (UTC)

No Hard Feelings

Quoting one of your edit summaries for the Halfathlon responses in 8-Bit Is Enough:

"Okay, sorry I got upset. Anyway, sometimes the subtitles are wrong, as you can tell here."

Don't worry about it. I saw that most of your frustration was taken out on MHarrington's additions to the responses archive rather than mine, so it shouldn't be me you should be apologising. As for subs, I have them on all the time due to a personal hearing problem I have.

But yeah, in other words: don't criticise yourself. Stay cool. Drink pie-monade. Rexy-mberween (save the rabbits!) 19:56, 17 December 2008 (UTC)

Sensitive to Bees

I made a second video to show how I edited the audio on the CD's track. Hope this is enlightening for you!

Re: this edit

Sorry about that, my American-learned grammar instincts reacted instantly. I'll keep that in mind for the future. —Guard Duck talk 05:36, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

No, it's cool. It's not the first time this has come up. Just remember: the policy on this Wiki is to only put punctuation marks inside quotation marks if they're part of the quote. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 05:38, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Career Day

Jay, thank you for that info

--Jagger88 08:38, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

April Fool's Sigs

Which users are referenced? BBG 20:48, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

Not as many as there should be. I'll explain it all when the protection on AFJAOBN lifts. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 20:49, 1 April 2009 (UTC)
So anyway:
How many did you get correct? ;) --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 18:37, 2 April 2009 (UTC)

Birthday

Wow, 27. I made sure to type this in a bigger font size so your eyes would still be able to see it :P Homestar-Winner (talk) 11:57, 3 April 2009 (UTC)

Why Qermaq, you whippersnapper, my eyesight's as good as it has ever been! You kids today don't know how to respect your elders!! Back in my day, we didn't have any of these fancy-schmancy "big fonts"! Why, everyone wrote in three-point text, and we liked it! And further more, blah blah etc. etc. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 17:52, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Wow, 27 eh? How are the wife and grandkids? — Defender1031*Talk 17:59, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Just fine, thanks for asking. Johnny, my youngest grandkid, has just proposed to his girlfriend. My stars and garters, they grow up so fast. Why, it seems like just yesterday I was a strapping young lad of 26, still working a low-level job, with no kids at all! Where does the time go? --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 18:07, 3 April 2009 (UTC)
Happy birthday old-timer! Can all us cuddle around you and listen to stories how you came from the Old Country? And you fought a bear? Please tell how you fought a bear! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 06:18, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
Not much to tell. I was unconscious for most of it. Why do you think I have this eyepatch? --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 08:09, 4 April 2009 (UTC)
An unfortunate Coke bottle accident? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:11, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
Elcool, you know that only happens in israel... — Defender1031*Talk 07:15, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
Ye-ru-sa-la-yim shel za-hav... (insert rest of song here). And I take it they only do Coke and Mentos there, too? VmKid 00:45, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
Hey, your birthday's so close to mine! Yours is the 3rd of April, mine is the 8th of April! Belated (and "late" 'd) birthday wishings! OpenSourceGreg 09:54, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Music?

I made a message for myself for my birthday and want to post it on the wiki so's people can hear it. Is there somewhere I can do it? Like in a personal sounds file? Or do I has to wait for the fanstuff wiki to emerge from the depths of darkness? Jagger88 12:32, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

If it's not H*R-related, my recommendation would be to not do it. However, I'm not the leading authority here. Anyway, Wikis tend to prefer the obscure .ogg file type for audio. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 19:36, 5 April 2009 (UTC)
Well, if I put it in my personal files and removed it after, say, a week, would that be acceptable? The file is a montage of Homestar saying "Happy birthday" to me, and another is a montage of several characters saying "Happy freakin' birthday, jack!". Is this considered to be H*R related? Because I don't want to cause any dramas. Also, how do you convert mp3 to ogg? OpenSourceGreg 05:54, 6 April 2009 (UTC)

Pain

Jay, I was thinking that we should maybe compile a page with all of the times characters get hurt. I'm sure there are plenty of occasions to fill it up, ie. not be a stub. OpenSourceGreg 09:53, 7 April 2009 (UTC)

Theycallmefree

Hey, Jay. Earlier today you didn't go on theycallmefree's file did you? you no, about the periods? Fingerface 23:56, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

What you you mean "on his file"? I left a message on his talk page a few days ago because he made an edit that with a really, really long edit summary with no spaces that was making a mess of Special:Recentchanges and I told him not to do that. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 00:31, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

Double Punctuation

Jay, I do not mean to be pushy or anything, but earlier when you said you "weren't buying the double punctuation", well I didn't buy it first either, but there are quite a few times I've seen this. Which is right? Theycallmefree 23:41, 2 June 2009 (UTC)

If it were up to me, I'd say NOT having both an exclamation point and a period would be the way to go. But maybe that's just me. Perhaps we should bring it up on the Manual of Style page!. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 23:45, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
This MAY be the first worthwhile thing I've done in my life! Maybe... Theycallmefree 23:50, 2 June 2009 (UTC)
[In the interest of not spamming Jay's talk page, I've added my 2¢s over on the Manual of Style's talk page  Green Helmet 00:38, 3 June 2009 (UTC)]

Kick-a-ball

This is the second time i've been able to say this in the past week, but thanks for the reversion. lol
i thought the umpire said "You're out" instead of "Stee-rike." i must have been thrown off by the extra syllable in strike. and since they only showed the last strike of the KOT's at-bat (which of course that's all they would do), that also skewed my decision. KRAKOW! Yo do not belong on the Emails That Meet Strong Bad's Approval‎ page, Jay!

You will come into your own in college, and thrive! - The Arrow'd Guy 23:30, 17 July 2009 (UTC)

I've actually already graduated. But whatever. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 01:48, 18 July 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I figured.. well, it was supposed to be, like, a little joke. You know, we got the people watching at home. Just trying to be kind of funny for 'em, with the joke. A joke-post... {rapidly} I'ma kick you, too!! {kicks Jay's knee} {runs away} -132.183.138.49 02:02, 18 July 2009 (UTC)

Jay's Journey

How long does it take to play? And what software do you need?-132.183.151.31 21:54, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Oh, heh. I never timed it, actually, but it's moderately long. For software, you need the RPG Maker 2000 RTP (I'm not linking it here, but it shouldn't be that hard to find.) I don't know if it'll run on Vista. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 22:17, 7 August 2009 (UTC)

Recent Changes

Is there any way to view a recent changes list omitting the deleted pages? I've already found several useful options, like when people are doing image summary cleanup, to just omit the File namespace while viewing recent changes. is there a similar option for omitting deleted pages? The Knights Who Say Ni 03:57, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Unless someone flags them as "bot" edits or something, not that I know of, and he typically only makes them bot edits in special circumstances. Yeah, they're cluttering RC, I know. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 04:01, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
Actually, looking at it, if you choose to hide patrolled edits, that'll do it, but it'll also hide all edits by sysops (and any edits marked as "patrolled", of course.) --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 04:02, 15 August 2009 (UTC)

Great jorb! I thought those pages would stay up all night, but you came in and BALEETED them just like that! cash money tc 03:13, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

Sorry 'bout dat.

Jay- Sorry 'bout delorting those things in dictionary instead of moving 'em. I Had brought up the editing window for that one section, and I didn't think to cut-paste into a different box. Just made a new signature, VmKid 00:40, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
