Um, I meant what classic video game that's from, not WHERE it's from.... yeah.... sorry, you can have ONE half dollar I guess... :D --Kilroy 18:56, 23 Oct 2004 (MST)
I'm assuming it's NOT Outrun 2019, considering that's what the image filename is? I mean, it CAN'T be, that'd be far too easy a gain of some dough.
Seems to be an interesting story behind the sign, though, and one that happened during WWII to boot... but that's a different matter for a different time. Shadow Hog 20:22, 23 Oct 2004 (MST)
Sorry to say this, but the answer was obvious.... Outrun 2019 is correct... --Kilroy 20:52, 23 Oct 2004 (MST)

Welcome message code display

Hey there Kilroy. I just noticed your link for quickly grabbing your welcome message code. There are a few ways you can make this a little easier for your self. Either encloce the links and your signature code in <nowiki> tags, or put the whole message in <pre> tags. Both of these methods will eliminate the need for you to click anything. What a time saver! -- Tom 19:23, 24 Oct 2004 (MST)

Why didn't I think of that before. Thanks Tom!!! --Kilroy 19:38, 24 Oct 2004 (MST)

Bit overzealous on the editing

Changing "50 emails" back wasn't necessary. The comment about "flagrant error" being like the Windows BSOD makes absolutely no sense (Have you seen a BSOD in Windows lately? They're called "stop errors" for a reason.) Flagrant sounds a lot more like the old "illegal operations" from Windows 3.1.

Okay, I don't understand... The fun fact, before you changed it, was talking about how the flagrant error screen looks like the Windows BSOD. You changed it to suggest that it is a spoof of general error messages, however, it is obvious that TBC were making fun of the BSOD with their "flagrant error" message. That's why I changed it back. Your comment, however, suggests that you were trying to say that the TERM "flagrant error" sounds like the old illegal operations from Windows 3.1, is that correct? Maybe you misunderstood what the fun fact was actually meaning? --Kilroy 22:11, 31 Oct 2004 (MST)
Blue screens of death haven't used the term "illegal operation" since Windows 9x. The error "illegal operation" actually first started as a dialog box in the Win 3.1 era. It's a matter of detail. I've changed the page again to reflect both sides.
Good job. I like what it says now. --Kilroy 22:21, 31 Oct 2004 (MST)

Category line breaks

Hey, good catch with the category line break thing. I had been wondering what was causing all that whitespace on some pages. -- Tom 23:30, 6 Nov 2004 (MST)

Thanks. --Kilroy 23:45, 6 Nov 2004 (MST)

Help

I notice you created another help section. We already have one. Just so you know why I deleted it. :) -- FireBird|Talk

I never created any help sections. If you're refering to HRWiki:Help, I never created it. Anyways, good job deleting the other help section. --Kilroy 18:02, 7 Nov 2004 (MST)
Oh. I could have sworn you did. And small text was there for a reason.-- FireBird|Talk
Yeah, I know, the small text is part of your signature, but for some reason, on my user talk page, unless I edit your signatures, my replys are typed in small text! --Kilroy 20:32, 7 Nov 2004 (MST)
There. Sorry 'bout that.-- FireBird|Talk

Hey.

Hey, I'm just dropping a line. I'm too tired to log in. Anyway, hi and what's up? 64.12.117.5 00:13, 13 Nov 2004 (MST)User talk:Hagurumon

Hey Hagurumon. Not much going on. I'm just bored. --Kilroy 08:24, 13 Nov 2004 (MST)

Moving

I noticed you recently moved Peasant's Quest Preview, and then changed all the links. If I'm not mistaking, all the redirected links direct to Peasant's Quest Preview, without having to change the links. Just trying to save you some trouble. :) -- FireBird|Talk

I thought it was best for the links to just go directly to the page instead of having to go through a redirect. It wasn't a problem at all for me to change them though. Thanks for noticing. --Kilroy 16:45, 15 Nov 2004 (MST)

Deletion vs. Redirect

I noticed you found that I changed Crazy Cartoon (toon) into a redirect to crazy cartoon, and marked it for deletion instead -- I'm guessing you noticed that nowhere else linked to it, and thought there'd be no harm in deleting it. However, I'd still rather not do that yet for two reasons: 1. other websites may link to Crazy Cartoon (toon), including search engines (not likely, but possible), 2. I want to keep the edit history because I haven't really looked through what was already there yet -- perhaps there might be something that is said or done better in that version of the transcript, or whatever, and, finally, 3. other people might not have noticed the change yet and try to link to Crazy Cartoon (toon). On the other hand, I see no harm at all as leaving it as a redirect (the impact on webspace and bandwidth would be next to nil). I'm not scolding you or anything, just saying that you may be jumping the gun a bit there. :) - furrykef 02:10, 20 Nov 2004 (MST)

Yeah, I had assumed you were done with it, since you had fixed all the links and had integrated the material into the main crazy cartoon page. But it makes sense to me now why you wanted it to be a redirect. Thanks.
P.S. Nice job merging the content from Crazy Cartoon (toon) to the email page. You did a MUCH better job than what I did (I had created the "Viewing the Email from the Toons menu" section). What you did was much better. Thanks. --[[User:Kilroy|Kilroy/talk]] 08:42, 20 Nov 2004 (MST)

Sig

Heya, Kilroy. I liked your sig so much I stoled it ^_^ --[[User:Southpaw018|Southpaw018|talk]] 14:06, 21 Nov 2004 (MST)

Pizza Trophy Modification

Hey, buddy. Thanks for improving that little area where I had begun to describe what purpose the Pizza Trophy will serve -- and I appreciate what you've done making the 'copy and paste' code area look better. It should have donned on me that it was more visually appealing to use those pretags instead of just blocking the wiki code from interpretation by using nowiki tags... It's lookin good now thanks to your fixes. So thanks, and you're well on your way to earning one of those aforementioned trophies - complete with bronzed pepperoni! --The Paper 22:58, 12 Dec 2004 (MST)

Testing how the + feature works

Sub-pages

Kilroy, as you know, sub-pages are prohibited on our wiki, and that includes userpages. Please find another way to display your archives without subpages and add the sub-pages to Category:To be deleted. Thanks. — InterruptorJones[[]] 19:33, 11 Jan 2005 (MST)

Alright, maybe I shouldn't be doing this on Kilroy's talk page (which incidentally seems to be the only User Page in my watchlist... methinks I should remove it soon >>;), but I've got a question: why? What good does not having ANY sub-pages, even in instances where they would be sensical, do us? Not saying it has to change, just want a reason. --Shadow Hog 20:34, 11 Jan 2005 (MST)
I thought subpages were allowed on user talk pages only for archival purposes? JoeyDay himself said this on Happy's talk page [1] :
You can create a subpage in your discussion page for archival purposes, but your user page cannot have subpages. To create a subpage in your discussion page, link to it like this: "User talk:Happy/subpage".
Anyway, I've gone ahead and listed my archive page for deletion, I just assumed that those kinds of subpages were allowed. Go ahead and delete it. --[[User:Kilroy|Kilroy/talk]] 21:36, 11 Jan 2005 (MST)

You're pretty good.

I saw your Kilroy e-mails. I sent you one. I wouldn't have sent you one if you weren't awesome :) mathgrant 00:38, 28 Jan 2005 (MST)

Your response is pretty awesome so far, but there's one thing I don't like about it: "To Be Continued". Ugh! How I hate those words! I can't wait for you to replace them with something awesome and funny and awesomely funny! :) mathgrant 21:14, 28 Jan 2005 (MST)
Don't worry, the rest of the email will be completed tonight! Keep your pants on! Kilroy/talk[[]] 21:16, 28 Jan 2005 (MST)
Oh, good. Hey, other people who may be reading this! I encourage you to e-mail Kilroy! Because then we'll have more fun stuff to read when we're not visiting Homestar Runner! And we'll be happy! And happy is good! mathgrant 21:35, 28 Jan 2005 (MST)

Hey hey...

...a good deal of us transcribed the first few lines of the Peasant's Quest Movie Trailer, ya know. >:P

...I mean, it's not like we had much else TO transcribe at the time, but... eh... --Shadow Hog 20:17, 7 Feb 2005 (MST)

And as a random aside inspired by the Eggman quote, RIP Deem Bristow. As SB would say, "[We're] gonna miss you, bro." --Shadow Hog 22:26, 7 Feb 2005 (MST)
Eggman will never be the same without Bristow voicing him. Rest in peace. Kilroy/talk[[]] 23:02, 7 Feb 2005 (MST)
Seriously, I guess I can't take all the credit, so I've removed that from my user page. Kilroy/talk[[]] 22:00, 7 Feb 2005 (MST)
Thankee. --Shadow Hog 22:26, 7 Feb 2005 (MST)

This is a test of the "Kilroy is cool and I suck" system.

It worked!

Bad Language!!

Thanks for fixing my MIT Mystery Hunt link. I didn't realize there was "language" on the solutions page until it was pointed out. Aurora Szalinski 15:55, 2 Mar 2005 (MST)

Kilroy e-mail note!

My latest Kilroy e-mail was obtained as follows.

I took the following e-mail:

Dear Kilroy,
You are very awesome and I like you so much. My question for you is: how
come you don't do your own version of the "advice" email???

Then I put it in Babelfish [2] and translated it from English to Spanish and back again. Which is why it is nigh unintelligible. :-)
