Thunderbird, and "The Homestar Runner Wiki Welcoming Committee" 01:38, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Wow. You're fast, Thunderbird. I hadn't even finished setting my prefs, or made a single edit... But I've been lurking around here for a while, so I've got an idea of how things stand. The Wikipedia is my main home in the wikiverse, so I've got a little wiki experience, but not much, since I haven't been there for that long. Anyway, the username is my poor attempt at creating something remotely H*R related. Well, I guess I'll see if anyone figures it out, and then I'll know how well I succeeded. Anyway, I guess this means I'm here to stay, and hopefully do my part for the community! ^_~ -- LGC&CS 02:01, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
I know laser crabs were mentioned in These peoples try to fade me... --DorianGray
Hey there, Laser-Grilled Crab & Cheese Sandwich. Just a hunch but I'm going to say your name is referencing, first, the line in These peoples try to fade me "And your mother tried to show me all the laser crabs....", and second, the line in space program "Looks like he could use a grilled cheese sandwich." Happy to have you here on HRWiki. — Lapper (talk) 02:07, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Yep, right on both accounts. Just what I'd expect from the people here on the HRWiki, where people like us are free to obsess a little over some fun flashwork. ^_^ Anyway, Coach Z is one of my favorite H*R characters, and the grilled cheese thing in space program really cracked me up for some reason. I like grilled cheese sandwiches, what else can I say? So I did a little wordplay, and came up with a goofy, excessively long username. But hey, the Wiki software doesn't care, so I figured I might as well. -- LGC&CS 03:16, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Heh, you can join the ranks of other users with rather long usernames, such as Fhqwhgadshgnsdbkhsdabkfabkveybvf, The Homestrongzipansadcheatsmith and to a lesser extent, Some HSR themed username (The longest sysop name). In any case, welcome to the wiki. And yeah, I just popped in for a second on the wiki, and your username creation was the first thing on the Recent Changes list (an new enormous red username is hard to miss), so I figured I'd give you a quick obligatory welcome (all new users get 'em). ;) Thunderbird 03:20, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
It's nice to see a wikipedian come on over to the HRWiki. Welcome to the Team ^_~ --Dacheatbot · Communicate 03:49, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
Hmm.... I'm wondering if that ampersand was such a good idea... Turns out some links don't work properly, because of conversion of some characters. For example, [1] works, while [2] does not. The former is what clicking on "User contributions" in the toolbox produces while on my user page, whereas the latter is produced by clicking "ctrbs" from my watchlist. Yep, doing my job, finding nitchy little bugs just by doing things my way. Think I should find a bureaucrat/admin to rename me, or do they bother with that kind of thing around here? -- LGC&CS 04:54, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
If you want to change your name, you can put in a request at HRWiki:Changing username. --DorianGray
LGC&CS, I don't think that's your fault. The link should be ctrbs, with a %26 instead of a &. We'll have a look at it. -- Tom 05:08, 31 May 2006 (UTC)
All righty then. I guess changing the "&" to "and" in my username wouldn't really make it any easier to type, so if the links get fixed, then I guess there's no problem. And I suppose it resolves a bug now that might have otherwise raised its ugly head at a more inopportune time. BTW, thanks everyone for the nice welcome! I guess things are a little slower over here than at the Wikipedia, so I couldn't slip in unnoticed. ^_~ -- LGC&CS 05:51, 31 May 2006 (UTC)

Recent really, really long message

Hey there, Laser-Grilled Crab & Cheese Sandwich. The situation with that user has cooled off considerably in the last few weeks. I appreciate your trying to get through to him, but I think your comments on his page would only stir things up again in a way that would not be desirable. As such, I have removed your comments for the time being. If things heat back up (which I hope they don't), I'll restore them. Thanks for understanding. — It's dot com 17:10, 13 August 2006 (UTC)

Sorry about that, seems like my brain slept through July or something. I didn't realize that what I was replying to was so old. Well, with the infrequency with which I visit the wiki, I tend to be a bit behind. Thank you for taking care of my blunder, my intentions were to help the situation, not exacerbate it. When I wrote my lengthy (perhaps too lengthy) comments, I feared that perhaps I had crossed the line from helpful criticism to personal attack. If the problem does recur, and you decide to restore my comments, I leave it to your judgment as to what is appropriate for the situation. -- LGC&CS 02:50, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Cool, thanks. — It's dot com 03:04, 21 August 2006 (UTC)

Weclome Back!

Great to see you around the wiki! Talk atcha later, Trey56 09:01, 24 April 2007 (UTC)

Eh, we'll see how long it lasts. I avoid editing Wikis, because I love them so... It just sucks up so much of my time if I let it, and being in the final stretch for college, I don't have much time to spare. But I keep up with H*R, and the HRWiki. It just takes unusual circumstances for me to sit down and edit. I like to wait until a page settles down, and fix errors that slip through the cracks; otherwise I take so long to edit a page that there are edit conflicts... I'm too long-winded, and should probably stop now... But thanks for the warm "Weclome". -- LGC&CS 09:16, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
No problem — hope your last semester of college finishes out well, and see ya around :) Trey56 09:17, 24 April 2007 (UTC)
