==Creating A Signature==
 +
*Hey there, Onestop, I noticed that on your userpage you said you didn't know how to make a cool signature.  Well, here's how to. :-)
 +
*[[HRWiki:Signature]] can help you make a sig and make sure you read up on the guidelines.  To create a page for your sig, go to [[User:Onestop/sig]] and put what you want in your sig.

 +
Mine looks like:

<nowiki>[[User:Theyellowdart|<span style="font-family:Courier New; color:darkorange">'''TheYellowDart'''</span>]]&mdash;[[User talk:Theyellowdart|<span style="font-family:Courier New; color:darkorange">'''(T'''</span>]]/[[Special:Contributions/Theyellowdart|<span style="font-family:Courier New; color:darkorange">'''C)'''</span>]]</nowiki>

Hmm, make sure your sig includes: <nowiki>[[User:Onestop|</nowiki>, and to add pictures, simply put this: <nowiki>[[Image:Your Image here|20px]].</nowiki>  The limit is 20px (pixels high).  You can put any picture (usually) between 1px and 20px.
 +
 +
To put your signature into your preferences, so when you type <nowiki>~~~~</nowiki> it will show your new sig, click on "my preferences" at the top of the screen by your username, talk page, etc, and paste {{User:Onestop/sig}} this exact code into the box that reads "Signature", and check the box that reads "raw signatures".

Well, I hope I covered everything.  If you need some more help, ask me or some of the [http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Special:Listusers/sysop Wiki Gods]. ;-) Peace out, --{{User:Theyellowdart/sig}} 19:09, 28 December 2007 (UTC)

Using Show Preview

Hello Onestop, I see that you have made several consecutive edits to the same page. I want to point out the Show Preview button. It's right next to the Save Page button when you edit. You should use it whenever you are making a lot of experimental edits, for example when you are trying to get formatting right. Using the Show Preview button is quicker and easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and will keep recent changes and page histories from being flooded. Thanks, — Defender1031*Talk 22:43, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Reply To Using Show Preview

Sorry about that. I did once. I just didn't realize what I was doing. I will definitely try to remember next time. Thank you for telling me.

Welcome

Hey Onestop. I see you don't have an unofficial welcome yet, soooo, welcome to The Homestar Runner Wiki! What does your name stand for anyways? Anyway, the Guestbook comment Techgeekmbg left you, I wouldn't delete it. But it's you choice. Any dang way, feel free to ask me questions here. And as this welcome comes to an end, way to people break into Strong Bad's House. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 13:53, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

I am also in the 6th grade Sam The Man. My user name is a song hidden in Windows XP. For more info just ask.

Kitkorp Mirror

You can read about Kitkorp here. It's not a part of homestarrunner.com — for that it would have to be kitkorp.homestarrunner.com, rather than homestarrunner.kitkorp.com. For more fun and entertainment, try the Wayback Machine also. OptimisticFool 21:23, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

Nope

It just says "Can Not Find www.kitkorp.homestarrunner.com" There is a link you know.

Decemberween Compy Music

Is the music that plays on the Decemberween Compy Menu available to be downloaded? If it can let me know. From ONESTOP

You mean the music from Decemberween Email Menu? I'm not really inspired by the song, myself. And though there are ways to get it, such ways may violate the terms on the legal page (but I'm not a lawyer).
Incidentally, here are a couple tips for commenting on any talk page. When referring to a specific page, it would be helpful to provide a link to that page. Primarily this is done by typing the name of the page between double brackets (e.g. the links I provided above were done by typing [[Decemberween Email Menu]] and [[legal]] ). Also, it is important to sign your comments; you can do so by typing ~~~~ at the end of your message. Also, you do not need to create new headings (e.g. ==Nope== ) when responding to a comment (as you did above, in response to my comment about Kitkorp). You can use one or more colons (":") at the beginning of a new line to indent.
The above paragraph was indented once with one colon. These two sentences were indented twice with two colons.
This sentence begins with three colons. (Etc.) I hope this helps; if you have any questions about anything, feel free to ask away! OptimisticFool 19:07, 10 November 2007 (UTC)

Chicken Monkey?

I was gonna put a comment on the chicken monkey page but then it was deleted. What in the world is a chicken monkey? What does a chicken monkey have to do with the website anyway? Let me know.--ONESTOP 22:00, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

A new user was mistakenly experimenting by creating an article rather than testing in the sandbox — nothing to worry about. Best, Trey56 22:02, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

Who Said What Now?

Hello there, Onestop. Please read the notice at the top of Talk:Who Said What Now?. We are aware of everything you're saying. Thanks one million! — It's dot com 00:08, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

OK! I was just wondering if there is an age limit for the wiki? Thank you for the note too.
If you still want the original Flash file, go to Secret Pages#Games and click "edit" to find a link. Bad Bad Guy 00:34, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

By the way, here's a tip: to sign your name, just type four tildes, like this: ~~~~, and the system will automatically insert your name and a timestamp, like this: It's dot com 00:59, 5 December 2007 (UTC)

Youtube Embedment

For a section on my user page I wanted to put up a small video. Is this allowed?--ONESTOP 23:11, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Sorry, no. We don't use <EMBED> tags in our wiki's HTML. Homestar-Winner (talk) 23:12, 12 December 2007 (UTC)
He's probably thinking of the YouTube functionality on Wikia. But indeed, <embed> isn't in MediaWiki's repertoire. — Lapper (talk) 23:21, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Images

How do you insert images?--ONESTOP 19:56, 13 December 2007 (UTC)

In case you still would like to know, you type [[Image:name of image]]. You can adjust the size by typing "|Xpx" (replace the X with the number of pixels you want the image to take up.) You can put "|thumb" to make your image a thumbnail. If you would like alternate text on the image, type "|text you would like"If you would like to upload an image you go to Special:Upload. Let me know if you have any more questions. Homestar-Winner (talk) 00:19, 16 December 2007 (UTC)

I Forgot My Password

I forgot my password. What do I do. To prove I am Onestop I created the article "GravyTrain" and it was deleted within 6 hours.--64.12.117.193 20:03, 15 December 2007 (UTC) (A.K.A. ONESTOP

Put your email address in your preferences right now so that you can send yourself a new password. — It's dot com 21:00, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Or, since your email address is already in your preferences, and was authenticated back in October, you can send yourself a new password at any time. — It's dot com 21:03, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
I don't remember my pssword though. How do I do it?--ONESTOP 21:11, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Here, lemme show you. Get on a computer. Go to the log in screen. Type in your username. Click "send new password" or something like that. Go to your email account. Read the email the HRWiki sent you. Follow the instructions. There you go. :-) --TheYellowDart(t/c) 23:17, 15 December 2007 (UTC)

  • HRWiki:Signature can help you make a sig and make sure you read up on the guidelines. To create a page for your sig, go to User:Onestop/sig and put what you want in your sig.

Hmm, make sure your sig includes: [[User:Onestop|, and to add pictures, simply put this: [[Image:Your Image here|20px]]. The limit is 20px (pixels high). You can put any picture (usually) between 1px and 20px.
