Coming June 2007, To A Computer Near You...
-

-
Based on more recent calculations, I place the infamous email #173 around June of 2007 . Email #117 debuted on November 8th, 2004. Around a year later, we were at email #138. 138 - 117 = around 21 emails this past year. Therefore, the difference between 173 - 117 = 56 emails from the release of montage until the release of 173. 56 / 21 = 2.67 years after November 8th, 2004. That brings us to roughly around June of 2007. That's considerably later than my original prediction of September 5th, 2006, since we've had a slow Strong Bad Email year compared to the old trend of an email nearly every week. If it continues to slow in this fashion, we could be looking at it being replaced as late as 2008. I dunno, I was just bored and figured it was due for a recalculation.<br>

:Well, TBC have been known to take extra time writing emails in which something dramatic happens. In this case, I think it'll take a week past Memorial Day. In memory of The Paper? I hate to see it turn out like this, but the last tie to the ol' tandy must be phased out eventually... :( *sniff* 21:52, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

Hi The Paper. What is your favorite quote on homestarrunner.com? Gravy Train 12:50, 5 April 2006 (UTC)

-
:Thanks for your question. Although it's difficult to single out just one favorite quote, I'd have to say that my favorite quote overall involves Homestar Runner in the email invisibility. He exclaims "Oh, hey, guys!", gets punched by floating boxes of Swiss Cake Rolls, and then says "Owww! Those things are bad for you." Classic quote, and probably my favorite. 14:30, 6 April 2006 (UTC)

Your theory about the paper can't work, because the characters can interact with it. It would have to be able to slide back and forth, as well as change size. 00:29, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

:Which theory are you referring to? I haven't adopted any theory as of yet and on my page, I've simply provided others' explanations to show widely varying opinion. Nevertheless, thanks for providing your  thoughts on the matter. 08:01, 10 June 2006 (UTC)

Haldo, El Papel! Nice to see you again. Are you sure you didn't see the store update on Monday, April 2? I checked on Sunday morning and there was a slight update to the front page news. I'm not sure if I checked the store after that. I might have done so on Sunday night and seen no update, but I can't remember. It seems more reasonable to assume they updated the store late Sunday night or on Monday. Or are you absolutely sure that you saw it on Sunday? What time? Write me back! :Hi! Thanks for the "weclome back" message. I'm in the Eastern time zone and I was browsing the store late on Sunday night. I was checking to see if the 10% sale had caused any items to sell out and I noticed flowers on the bushes. It had to be after 7PM because I came to the wiki first and saw Pan Pan as the newest featured article. This may have been shortly before midnight but I cannot verify that. Now that you mention it, an update to the footer after the sale that ended Sunday seems more likely. April 2 probably should be the official change date. Thanks for asking me about this because I know we both value accurate dates on the wiki. 20:46, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Your prediction about email #173 coming in June '07 seems like it will be pretty accurate, since we're getting so close (I think mid-May is the expected week?) --Stux 21:38, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

-
:Hey yeah, you're right. I still hope Matt and Mike weren't serious about that "upgrade". I don't think that dot matrix technology should ever be replaced! Come mid-May, I think the 173 milestone will occur then if TBC continue to "churn out" new emails! 22:32, 3 April 2007 (UTC)

Okay I may be a new USER, but I've seen talk pages before and you've done quite a bit of help around here.  And think, even though The Paper was suppossed to go at montage, it stuck around for over 100 emails, and it still was able to do it's work.  And even after The Paper left this world, it left a message.  And so can you. |\|/[_}-Elkmiester-{_]\|/| 17:58, 24 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] incoming....

The paper, this is looking dark, right now email #172, and at the end, the paper comes out wrinkled, ripped, etc. and strongbad comes out and says "whoa, thats not a good sign" and he mutters about something. This is probably a sign about the papers demise, im sure that the paper will be replaced. But hey, ya never know the odds of something, like this onetime i found a 100 dollar (it was real) on the ground of a parkinglot. Can you think of the odss of that happening? exactly! the same odds could happen to the paper. But nothing will expose the truth...except time. weve got a week left, prepare the feuneral, Paper. I see a dark 7 last days of King of the Ring, becareful. You never konw whats gonna happen. *plays feuneral music* oh, Paper, I pine for thé ;_; — 70.187.152.28 (Talk | contribs) {} (left unsigned)

Oh man! Are you telling us that if you're representing The paper itself, you'll be sorely missed?! Maybe it's time we start thinking about your funeral as Strong Bad thought of his... And quite possibly, I don't know what to think but to do something similar like trevor the vampire. --Only talked to you at least one week before The Paper's doomsday, Addict 2006 02:21, 22 May 2007 (UTC)
I dont remember talking to you last week, either that or I unknowingly developed temporary amnesia O_o
PS. I was talking about the Paper itself, not the user....yeah....dont ask....— 70.187.152.28 (Talk | contribs) {} (left unsigned)

Well, looks like you're gonna survive for a half a week more. --disappointed in this looming loss, Addict 2006 00:51, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
Thanks for this support, everypeoples! This means so much. Here's my prediction: The Paper's noise will change, as will the style of printout and colour of the page. However, the message and the placement (top portion of the screen) will be the same. —THE PAPER PREEEOW 17:50, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
