Username

I have to admit that I'm a tiny bit envious of your username — I wish I'd thought of it when I was picking usernames! english paper was the first sbemail I watched and will always hold a special place in my heart :) Trey56 17:05, 1 December 2006 (UTC)

Editing Signatures

You posted on a talk page asking how to change your signature, right? Here are some detailed instructions. Shwoo 07:39, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

Just make sure they follow the guidelines. --DorianGray
Thanks a lot. --TheYellowDart(t/c) 20:59, 9 December 2006

Logo discussion

Hey there. I notice you have a lot of strong opinions about the logo. That fine, but please don't edit the discussion just to add chatter. Thanks! — It's dot com 04:12, 11 December 2006 (UTC)

Aww, Mom!! --TheYellowDart(t/c)

Um... why are all my posts DELETED!? I'm a good kid. Why? --TheYellowDart(t/c)

They weren't deleted just moved up a couple of subjects, look earlier in the page for them and a reply. - Ilko Skevüld's Teh C 21:56, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Whoops! Sorry, sir. --TheYellowDart(t/c)

  • Whoever posted that, thanks, and uh... I'm adding him to my Cool People List. --TheYellowDart(t/c)

Editing others' user pages

Hey Theyellowdart, I know that you and Snickjames55 are friends and don't mind it when you edit each other's pages. Nevertheless, the reason the rule is in place about not editing others' user pages is that it makes it much easier to spot vandalism. Sorry for reverting your edit against your wishes, but that really is an important rule. Trey56 02:25, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Sorry. I'll just tell him at school tomorrow to change it. PEACE, --TheYellowDart(t/c)
That's fine — or you could just leave a note on his talk page... Trey56 02:35, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
I would just like to apologize to both of you because all I was trying to do was get my sig up. It's just that I'm new and still learning how to do things. Alright. Thanks again. Snickjames55
No problem — and nice sig, by the way :) Trey56 02:57, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
Hey Trey... how do get little pictures on your sig?? Like that nice fluffy The Cheat you have? EDIT: Do want to be on my list of Cool Peeps? --TheYellowDart(t/c)
So, you find an image you want to use, and then put the link (for example, [[Image:The-cheat-small.png|16px]]) into the appropriate spot in User:Theyellowdart/sig. Trey56 03:04, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
And YES I want to be on your list of Cool Peeps; how could I turn down an offer like that‽ :) Trey56 03:07, 12 December 2006 (UTC)
No problem (I'm not a sysop, btw). High fives all the times, Trey56 03:40, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Wassup Theyellowdart!

I've noticed you have a lot of information in your userpage, why don't you channel it into userboxes? Hoping to be your friend and not your enemy, --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 03:36, 12 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. Merry Christmas to you to. You are cool. I'm adding you to-my-list-a. TheYellowDart(t/c)

More about the logo discussion

Hi Theyellowdart: I'm glad you're excited about participating in the logo discussions, but your recent posts seem to be just reiterating the same ideas over and over again. That's not really helpful; in fact, it's rather disruptive. You've made your opinion clear; there's no need to assert it any further. We are working to try to build consensus; pestering us about votes isn't going to help. That's not what this discussion is about. Please try to find other ways to contribute to the wiki. Oh, and if you do need to make amendments to your comments about the logo design, please put them with your existing comments instead of adding them to the bottom of the page.

P.S.: Good work with that new article you started. Heimstern Läufer 04:07, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

H*R HTML logo

Hi there, Yellowdart. I'm glad you liked the logo at the bottom of my user page, but I must give credit when credit's due. It was Rob (AKA Rainer) who made it and I copied it from him. Thanks for adding me to the cool people list anyways! I'm looking at your contribs and you made some very fine edits. Keep it up! :) Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:15, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks thanks thanks thanks. Still, I'll give you credit for the logo! :P --TheYellowDart(t/c)

That's okay!

  • Hi TheYellowDart! Just wanted to say "that's okay!" about the "inconsistencies" page. I hope I didn't come off as a total jerk about my reasoning! See ya around the Wiki! kai lyn 02:02, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Oh COOOOL!!! Thanks! I'd love to be on your "Cool People" list! Wow! You just made me really happy, (this coming from a girl who just took her first final of the semester not even half an hour ago)! Merry Christmas and a happy Decemberween to you too! See you 'round the Wiki! kai lyn 15:07, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Talk Pages

Hey Yellowdart, just a short heads-up: when you start a new topic on somebody's talk page, please add it at the bottom. The easiest way to do that is to click on the + tab next to the edit tab. This will also help you with the heading.  Loafing 21:42, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Wanting to be something

I have noticed that you said that your goal in this wiki is to be a sysop is some edit summaries and in your userbox. While editing with a goal is good, wanting to be a sysop this bad is not. I'm directing you to the wiki's FAQ, where there is the question "How do I become an admin or sysop?". After you read this, you'll notice that staying true to these pointers do not automatically make you a sysop. What it does make you is being a better user. Being a good user takes time and doesn't come easily. So if you want to have a goal, then please make be being a good user. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 06:53, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

I know, I know about that. Calm down. Can I just wallow in my dreams? Wait, not to be mean, but is writing that on one of my userboxes bad? I just want to know. I'm sorry if it is... TheYellowDart(t/c) P.S. A weird thing just happened: I was reading your entire user page for the first time when you gave me that message.... .....creepy...
Well, about the userbox. Saying that you want to be a sysop like that on a colorful box at the top of your user page is kinda against point 9: "Don't call us. We'll call you." and like the FAQ say, it does rise suspicion and resentment from regular users. And I am calm, never been angry :) Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:06, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Well, you called me. Um... do you want me to put the colorful box on the bottom of my page? :P (light hearted sarcasm) --TheYellowDart(t/c) HAPPY FREAKIN MOTHER'S DAY
Elcool was just giving you some helpful hints on how most users will perceive that userbox. There's no need for sarcasm when someone tries to help you. And it's your decision whether it stays. Loafing 07:12, 16 December 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, guys, it's late at night and I sometimes get delirious at 1:00 AM... no harm, no foul? I don't want to treat you guys like I did to ramrod. Anyway, I altered my userbox. But seriously, thanks for the advice. You guys are cool. TheYellowDart(t/c) EDIT: I know being a sysop is a dirty job, but, guys, relax a little bit. ;) I think Trey 56 should be the next sysop.
Thanks, Dart. Right now the current group of sysops is doing a good job of keeping the wiki under control. If something changes so that there's more work to be done than they can handle, then they may select more sysops. Anyway, I like Elcool's comments about focusing on helpful contributions to the wiki — continuing to make constructive edits and contributing to important projects is probably more satisfying than the granting of a title with a few special responsibilities associated. Well, see ya around :) Trey56 07:31, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Shopping Network Pic Thing

I'm sorry I changed your picture, it's just that the standard format for a cartoon is PNG, and I believe you used JPEG. So, uh, yeah, if you want, I'll change it to SB raising his arm. Bluebry 20:20, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, I am cool, aren't I? ;-) Bluebry 21:51, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Other Pic Thingy

It was a JPEG. Standard is a PNG. Bluebry 01:23, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Wha? I thought JPEG's were standard, too. I read that. "Reccomendations: .jpeg or .png". hmm... Oh well, it's still the same image basically. Hey, do you want to be added to my Cool People list? Your friend, TheYellowDart(t/c)!
Yeah, if it's a live toon, like Puppet Stuff, than JPEG's the way to go. But if it's Flash stuff, than PNG's preferred for clarity. And, sure, I like being in lists. Bluebry 01:30, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh, now I see. I'll add ya... lol "I like being in lists." --TheYellowDart(t/c)
May you be thankethed greatly. Heh. Thanketh. And I do like being in lists. My yearbook has lists of all of the clubs, so I'm in Chess CLub, Mathletes, D&D CLub, Cheerleader Club, Band, Jazz band, Death Metal Band, All sports offered except for soccer, Venture capitalists CLub, Future Lawyers Club, Future Doctors club, Future Business Tycoon Club, Programming Club, Photography Club, Drama Club, 8 Dance Clubs, Cartographers Club, Caligraphy Club, and Yearbook Club. I'm not active in all of them. I just come the first day. Bluebry 01:45, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Too long, Clanky, TOO LONG!!. How bout that link! TheYellowDart(t/c) P.S. Dween Shorts is the SHIZZLE! I love it.
...I used to be the shizzle... Bluebry 01:55, 19 December 2006 (UTC)
Correct me if I'm wrong but are you asking for a challllllllllllllleeeeeeeeennnge?!?!?! --The Yellow Blah blah blah...
Correction: Bluebry was not asking for a challenge, he was just looking for attention because he is an attention-seeking egomaniac. The Awesome and All-Powerful Bluebry "Bow to me!" 02:01, 19 December 2006 (UTC)

LINE RIDER

I love it. It is the shizznet. Snickjames55

I actually heard about this game from my cousin. We played the beta version and found out that you can draw a bunch of lines in a tumbleweed-like formation and, if done correctly, will "fling" the little penguin guy all over the place! Then draw lines to catch him and other hillarious stuff. -Brightstar Shiner 03:55, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Yeah, that's what I like doing the best. I can't wait for Line Rider DS to come out. TheYellowDart(t/c) EDIT: HE'S A PENGUIN?!?!? What is this world coming to?!?!

By the way Theyellowdart, have you seen this awesome Line Rider video? --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif 12:51, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

I like the site Line Rider.org. It has a fan-forum, a wiki, and the game.- Saddy Dumpington 23:45, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

I didn't know it had a wiki! TheYellowDart(t/c)

Nintendo DS Games

In response to your question: Congratulations on getting a Nintendo DS for Christmas, that's awesome! I don't have one, so my recommendations will stick to some of Nintendo's classic series (Zelda, etc):

I don't know if these match your interests, but they're the ones that jumped out at me on Wikipedia's list of DS games. Perhaps some other users who actually own a DS have some recommendations? Hope this helps, Trey56 04:14, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Oh, yeah, totally. Like, 90% of my games are old school Mario NES games that I play on my Game Boy SP. I'm surprised you don't have a DS, seeing all your interests in Nintendo and everything. Yeah, the games I'm leaning on are the New Super Mario Bros, Metroid, and that new Zelda game. I love Zelda. 'Ocarina of Time' changed my life forever. Yeah, thanks, and um, I'll ask some other people too about it. See you around. TheYellowDart(t/c). P.S., hey are you a Christian? Just asking. I am. Peace!
Yeah, Ocarina of Time is awesome. And yes, I'm a Christian :) Take care, Trey56 04:23, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
  • I just remembered about "Mario Kart DS". I played it at my friends', and I liked it. I'm gonna buy that first.  ;) --TheYellowDart(t/c).
I'm not sure if you already know about this, but they're planning to bring Line Rider to DS and Wii in Spring 2007. --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif 13:24, 28 December 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I heard about that!! I'm buying it! I love that game! I wonder how people will play it on the Wii though?? --TheYellowDart(t/c).

Signature

Hey, sweet signature! There's just one thing you should tweak — the images should be no more than 20 pixels in height, and since the Senor Cardgage and Marshie images are slightly taller than they are wide, right now they are slightly too tall:

If you change the width of Senor Cardage to 19 pixels and the width of Marshie to 17 pixels, it'll fix that. Again, nice sig! Trey56 04:23, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

  • Oh, I see. Thanks once again. Change'd! TheYellowDart(t/c). Good night. Ima gonna log out.
Perfect! Trey56 04:27, 21 December 2006 (UTC)

Welcoming tip

Hey, Theyellowdart. When you are welcoming, watch out for the users that have been blocked. Thanks. —BazookaJoe 03:23, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

Edit Summaries

Hey there, Mr. Dart. Just a heads-up that your last edit summaries were funny but not very very helpful. Edit summaries help other editors to know what you did or why you did it. You can assume that most of your edits will be looked at by one or more others, for example on Special:Recentchanges. You'd make the life of those editors easier by always providing a meaningful edit summary. Cheers. Loafing 04:38, 29 December 2006 (UTC)

Your message

Hi, Theyellowdart, I'm glad you're excited about making a new page. That being said, I'm going to have to ask you to not send out mass messages to people's talk pages, as this is considered spam. If you want help, you could post the message on your userpage or in possibly in a central location like Talk:Main Page. But please don't copy messages to all the sysops. Thanks. Heimstern Läufer 19:28, 31 December 2006 (UTC)

Hey, I got enough help already. I stopped. Once again, you correct me when I'm wrong or annoying. --TheYellowDart(t/c). PS- That's spam? Harsh.
Indeed, what you did was spamming. A far more preferable way to grab our attention would be to ask in #hrwiki, Talk:Main Page, or HRWiki:Da Basement. Please refrain from doing that again. — Lapper (talk) 20:12, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Oh. I forgot about Talk:Main Page, and I thought Da Basement was for sysops only. But now, I see. Well, guys, can you still help out on my article?? Interrupted Words. God bless, TheYellowDart(t/c). PS- That's still a little harsh.
And, what does 'en masse' mean? I thought that was kinda rude of you to treat my message like that. TheYellowDart(t/c)
Might I direct your browser to dictionary.com? Bluebry 20:21, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
I don't believe you understand how this wiki works. If you need help, there are at least four ways you could have gotten it without placing the same message on all of our talk pages. What we did in response was not in any way "harsh", and we're issuing you fair warning as of now for what you did. Several other wikis would have offhandedly blocked you right there. En masse means "altogether", as in, "You placed all those messages on our talk pages." — Lapper (talk) 20:23, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
  • And the list keeps growing
  • And our ears keep bleeding
  • And the masses keep begging for more
  • And your screams keep coming
  • And the units keep moving
  • And the masses keep begging for more

TheYellowDart(t/c)

I hardly see how the chorus of Project 86's "Another Boredom Movement" qualifies as a response in any situation, let alone this one. — Lapper (talk) 20:34, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
  • Um, they are like, my favorite band. Your screams keep coming. (That's you). The units keep moving. (That's the wiki). And the masses keep begging for more. (That's the masses!). The list keeps growing. (That's this conversation). Our ears keep bleeding. (Yep. They do.) But remember, in the end all you sold us was boredom. Seriously. Think about it. In the end, this conversation will end in boredom. TheYellowDart(t/c) Oh, yeah. You might wanna check that link on my userpage. It basically sums up the lies of the world. Project 86 wrote it.
Actually, I'm thinking it's going to end right now, as all you can seem to give me is grasping-at-straws analogies from some band you happen to enjoy, instead of explanations or useful information. It's been great talking with you. — Lapper (talk) 20:42, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Actually, I have some useful info. Hey, go to that link. It may change your mind. (Unless you have an extremely shallow mind, and you can't comprehend deep things. But I'm not saying you have a shallow mind.) TheYellowDart(t/c)
Theyellowdart, please keep discussion on this wiki civilized, and don't insult anybody, especially not on religious grounds. It would also be helpful to show that you acknowlededge that spamming talk pages is not such a good idea and promise not to do it again. How you acted in this section can be considered borderline trolling, so please be a bit more productive in the future. Thanks. Loafing 21:14, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
What did I do on the topic of "religious grounds". Please do not call this trolling. This is a conversation. My talk page. I didn't write anything bad. Speaking of productive, I just made a new page TODAY! Interrupted Words. Still your friend and not your enemy,TheYellowDart(t/c) Oh, and about acknowledging what I did was wrong: I said, "I forgot about Talk:Main Page, and I thought Da Basement was for sysops only. But now, I see." and "I stopped."
I assume that "Unless you have an extremely shallow mind, and you can't comprehend deep things" referred to that Christian band. Loafing 23:15, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Actually I was referring to [1]. TheYellowDart(t/c)
Which is still by the same band and has nothing to do with the conversation. Loafing 23:38, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
Still, doesn't it pwn you? TheYellowDart(t/c)
Dude, I'm talking about your behaviour here and not about some crackpot 911 theories that I will certainly not waste my time on. This is what I call broderline trolling: if someobody voices a concern about your behaviour on your talk page, it is not considered best behaviour to insult them and instead talk about something completely unrelated to the wiki. Please change your ways. Loafing 23:50, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
It's not 9/11 theories. It's not. It's just a random number in the URL. It's talking about truthless heroes. Please, this is not trolling. It's a conversation. I'm still a good man. Relax. I love you. TheYellowDart(t/c)
It's not the conversation that we're having. And I would love to hear a reply to my previous posts. Loafing 02:08, 1 January 2007 (UTC)

User Space Policy

You might want to have a look at our User Space policy. Please do read it. It states that user pages should not be edited casually, and that user talk pages are for discussions related to the wiki. Posts about currently being online are frowned upon, and putting them on someone else's user page is not even open to discussion. Loafing 02:08, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
