STRONG BAD: {feigning struggling} Must... check... email...!

STRONG BAD: {clears screen, typing} Unfortunatley, Mr. Kiwi, there are no ducks by my house. But I do have a pretty sweet duck pond simulator for my computer. Check it out, man.

{Strong Bad types "run "duckpond"", which loads up a game of Duck Pond. It features two ducks swimming around the screen with a hand on the left side of the screen. Strong Bad presses a button and the hand throws a piece of food at the ducks.}

STRONG BAD: {trancelike} Wow, you're right, Ron. {throws another piece of food} This is the {throws food} greatest thing in the world. I mean it's like I'm right there at the pond. Come here, ducky.

[edit] Easter Eggs

  • By feeding either duck 10 times, an Atari version of the game is unlocked. The title screen appears, before an Atari rendered version of "duckpond" automatically plays. The man throws two pieces of bread into the pond, one of which is eaten by a duck.
STRONG BAD: Whoa, man, these graphics are state-of-the-art...graphics...
The email then restarts from the beginning.

[edit] Fun Facts

[edit] Trivia

  • The opening screen for the duck pond simulator reads:
  • When one of the ducks is fed 10 times, the screen reads:
  • If the "F" key is held down while playing the game, 3 pieces of bread are thrown when the key is released.
  • The YouTube description for this email is "Strong Bad plays Duck Pond Simulator."

[edit] Remarks

  • The "state of the art version" used to be playable, just like the Tandy version. However, this cannot be done anymore.
  • This is the first email with an Easter egg that is accessible directly in the Flash file.
  • In the Atari version, the duck with the darker (green) head is duck one, while in the Tandy 400 version, he is duck two.

[edit] Goofs

  • This email has the Tandy 400 missing the glare in the upper-left corner of its screen that is present in other emails.
  • Strong Bad spelled "Unfortunately" as "Unfortunatley" in his reply to the email.
  • For a split second, duck 2 comes out of the computer.
  • After the intro to the Atari version of Duck Pond, the email starts itself over automatically.
  • Feeding a duck during Strong Bad's Intro to the Atari version of Duck Pond does not give you any points.
  • While Strong is typing out his reply, the typing sound effects can be heard when he is not typing. This can be heard after he types "Unfortunatley, Mr. Kiwi".

[edit] Glitches

  • When the Atari 2600 version of the Duck Pond game is starting, pressing the Space Bar will make the duck animation behind the title replay.

[edit] DVD and YouTube Versions

  • The game Duck Pond is not playable in the DVD version. Due to this, the Atari 2600 version's demo can be accessed by clicking on the hidden Strong Bad head near the bottom of the Tandy's screen.
  • In the YouTube version, the Atari 2600 demo plays automatically.
