[edit] Already Exists

The video game information that would go on this page already exists on Video Game References and its associated pages, and the board game information is all already covered on Board Games. I see no reason to create a new page merging all of those into one. The name doesn't really strike me as something that would make a good redirect or disambig either, so I move that we delete. — Defender1031*Talk 20:47, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

I agree. The content on this page is already extensively covered elsewhere. Delete. MichaelXX2 mail_icon.gif link_icon.gif 20:51, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
Another idea I would not be opposed to is moving this page to something like "Real World Game References" and having that be a disambig linking to the category and pages I linked above, though I still like that option less than an outright delete. — Defender1031*Talk 20:59, 29 September 2013 (UTC)
As I mentioned in the page history, I am sorry this was already done. Though, most of the things in the Board Game page are in-universe, not referencing real life board games. If we can, can we expand the VG References page to include real life non-video gaming references? I do agree though, and understand that deleting would be a good idea. Though, keep that image up for use if we do go through with the VG references now also includes non-video real life gaming idea. If not, you can delete that too. Perfectly fine with that, actually. --Camwoodstock 17:11, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
Board Games covers all the in-universe and real-world stuff as one page. It's a superset. Perhaps it ought to have different subsections for in-universe and real-world, but meh. As for including it on video game references, that seems a bad idea. We have Board Games for board games, Video Game References for video games, and Sports for pretty much anything else. The only kind of game i can think that we don't have a page for is childrens' games such as tag and hide and seek. I wouldn't be opposed to creating a page titled "Childrens' Games" for that, but I wouldn't create it before verifying that there are at least 9 or 10 solid references to such. Any less wouldn't be worth isolating from the RWR sections on the toon pages themselves. — Defender1031*Talk 23:14, 1 October 2013 (UTC)
