James, to fix the main page you just need to add one line to your CSS file. Just change:

div#footer {
padding: 15px;
margin: 0px;
border-top: thin solid #000000;
}

to:

div#footer {
padding: 15px;
margin: 0px;
border-top: thin solid #000000;
clear: both;
}
