The Cheat's head seems to explode quite a lot. His face turns black and his hair is pushed back when it happens. This can happen when he gets too excited, worried, confused, or physically shaken too much. The first instance of The Cheat's head exploding was in "The House That Gave Sucky Treats". If the player gave him pop rocks, he would eat them with soda, resulting in his head explosion. (Inexplicably, his head would also explode if Strong Mad ate actual rocks and bit off a half-can of soda.) It is likely that this occurance was a satire on the myth that eating soda with popping candy causes them to explode, but soon became a running gag. In a spectacular instance during "Happy Fireworks", The Cheat provided the pyrotechnics display for Free Country, USA after being shaken by Strong Mad. In pizzaz, The Cheat's confusion over seeing two Strong Bads causes him to oscillate his head back and forth in a continual double take, which also leads to his head exploding. The Cheat's Old-Timey counterpart, The Sneak, also has his head explode in the "Ballad of The Sneak" video.
