Easy. To make another topic, just use '''<nowiki>=={{User:GWR_2004/headtemplate|Subject}}==</nowiki>'''.

-
To link to an article in this Wiki, use '''<nowiki>{{User:GWR_2004/intlink|Article Title|Displayed Text}}</nowiki>'''.

I saw you trying to edit [[User:GWR 2004/Monobook.css]] – the page you actually want to edit is [[User:GWR 2004/monobook.css]], with the lowercase m. Just a tip. And you don't need to include [[MediaWiki:Monobook.css]] in it, your custom CSS is in ''addition'' to the sitewide one. {{User:Phlip/sig}} 01:37, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

To link to a page outside this Wiki, or use the roundabout way to link to another page in this Wiki, use '''<nowiki>{{User:GWR_2004/extlink|http://url.to.page|Displayed Text}}</nowiki>'''.

I'm curious, why do you have a [[User:GWR 2004/intlink|template]] that does nothing but insert a link? It seems like all you're doing is causing system resources to be used up unnecessarily. Is there some hidden benefit to this I'm not seeing? — {{User:JoeyDay/sig}} 19:44, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

Actually, now that I'm looking a little more closely I'm seeing all kinds of weird templates that belong to you. Why are you replacing standard wiki code with unnecessarily long template code and causing unnecessary strain on the server in the process? — {{User:JoeyDay/sig}} 19:50, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Custom CSS

I saw you trying to edit User:GWR 2004/Monobook.css – the page you actually want to edit is User:GWR 2004/monobook.css, with the lowercase m. Just a tip. And you don't need to include MediaWiki:Monobook.css in it, your custom CSS is in addition to the sitewide one. --phlip TC 01:37, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
